Telling me the heroine is "smart" does not make it so. Also a heroine who says inane crap like "my father always says...." needs to be stoned to death in the street. Lumpy writing (I get it - the hero is a "behemoth" - no need to tell me a dozen times!) didn't help.

Cynthia Sax keeps the "HEAT" going with FLASHES OF ME!

Not only did I enjoy The Seen Trilogy, by Ms. Sax, but I was THRILLED when I found out that we were getting a HEA for Henley, who you will see featured in The Seen Trilogy (which I suggest you read...not that you need to if you want to enjoy FLASHES OF ME, but that I think you will soooo enjoy the Erotic Trilogy).




As far as Henley goes...I am 100% #TeamHenley ALL THE WAY! Not that this is a romance with a love triangle, I am just all about this Beast of a man...and I love that Kat knows all the ways to break down his walls in such a short amount of time. These two are true soul mates, and you see that from the first meeting.




Ms. Sax writes erotic romance with emotion, and so much passion, and some KINKY destinations for the "love makin"...brings new meaning to copy room! Erotic fans will truly enjoy FLASHES OF ME, and while you are waiting for the 18th to roll around, grab The Seen Trilogy, and have a frisky Valentine's Weekend!

Holy smokes this is one HOT read! Flashes of Me offers readers an erotic twist on the classic beauty and the beast tale. Henley and Kat are so hot together I recommend reading this somewhere you won't be embarassed by the amount of blushing you might experience. The characters are well developed and readers will empathize with their struggles and feel like they are a part of their story.

I gave Flashes of Me - 5 Stars, totally what I wanted and more from the first page to the last page! For .99 this novella is a steal, it is a great read that will have you looking for what's next for Cynthia Sax (I saved you the trouble of looking: Breaking All the Rules is set for release on April 1st and features Camille, the rule-breaker you met in this book). Also, if you snag this book and enjoy it as much as I did Cynthia Sax's Seen Trilogy is also available and is super hot as well

wow this was...unbelievably bad. We open with the girl flashing a total stranger in a public park because apparently she's an exhibitionist? althought that's not really given any support but whatever...pretty low on my list of things i find hot but hey to each their own. where i drew the line at what has to be the cheesiest dialogue i've ever seen. she and a new coworker get trapped in a stairwell and he finds them and lets them out. "'How did you know where I was? Did you feel it in your heart?'' BAHAHAHAA what the actual fuck...theyve known each other for two minutes and even if they hadn't WHO SAYS THINGS LIKE THAT?! ANyways I was laughing waaaaay too hard to ever be turned on by anything else that happened...another dud.

Quite dreadful. I don't feel any connection whatsoever to Katalina, the heroine, who keeps even her reader at bay. She's a really strange mix of naive, sexy, exhibitionist, la-la-la-refuse-to-discuss-my-problems-so-let's-pretend-there-aren't-any and plain unintelligent. Henley, on the other hand, would have been a far more believable hero, had he stayed true to the first vibe of his character, which led me to think he was closed off and private in his sexuality (aka no sex at work). Go figure. Oh, and there's instalove as icing on the hot cake.

I hadn't read any of Ms. Sax works until finding this gem of fast reading erotic office fun which had me hunting for the rest of the series because who doesn't love a huge and hunky mysterious security guru who can't resist the charms of the rebellious new intern? Is she also brilliant?? blink, blink, eye roll... - my response would be not even close! However, she masterfully handles her man and gets what she set out for when she wasn't really aware of what she needed. They fill each other's voids in more ways than one, loneliness can be such an obvious reason to try voyeurism, right? If you want a quick and steamy break from heavy reading topics, this was a page turner that had me also grinning and cringing with a mental headslap of NO please don't say what you're Daddy would have said again... maybe it's because I've caught myself repeating my own Daddyisms like it's gospel? I have to say, this little book had me looking at my home office in a new light when my man got home! LOL!

Those looking for a fast read full of steamy sexual interludes that leave you wrung out will be drawn to Flashes of Me. A woman still reeling from the loss of her father is drawn to a quiet yet supportive mountain of a man into a relationship that brings both of them a spot of happiness amidst the grief that they're both living with. They're both feeling alone at the start of the story which has their burgeoning relationship intensifying in the blink of an eye as they both understand what the other's going through.

Kat is a seemingly carefree woman not afraid to express her sexuality. The last five years have been devoted to her father as he slowly deteriorated from cancer. She still can't accept the loss and many of her actions throughout the story are due to denial. She's not wanted a relationship for fear of losing someone else, but the strong and sexy Henley looks like a man who will never leave and who will take care of her no matter what. Kat left me conflicted in that she seemed very child-like at times, overly exuberant, and acted any way she wanted without fear of reprisal. Her actions were over-the-top but I applaud her embracing of life completely, even if it didn't feel realistic.

I loved Henley from the very start! He's the strong yet silent type and a calming and supportive influence throughout the story. After the death of his mother he feels an obligation to protect everyone as he couldn't protect his mother and seeing this scarred and bear-like man show so much care and compassion was immensely appealing. Everyone runs from him, is scared of him, with him being thought of as a Beast. The Beauty Kat is the only one not scared of him and she does everything she can to make him smile which in turn made me smile.

Theirs is a sweet yet intensely sexy relationship. They might seem like opposites but their being together seemed very right. Their relationship progressed quickly and was fueled by numerous playfully hot sexual encounters in the workplace and out but there was a surprisingly emotional connection apparent too. Though Kat's actions in the real world would be unbelievable, here it made for a delightfully steamy fantasy and a few hours of reading enjoyment. Though the heroine wasn't always my favorite, Henley definitely won me over. I loved the sexy beast and his rare heart melting smiles and am still dreaming about him. Here's to the next tempting hero Ms. Sax creates for us and the continuation of this series!

I really don’t know how I missed out on this author’s books until now, but I most certainly am thrilled to have found them, and the many options for pleasure reads that I have to look forward to. Cynthia Sax has a style that is easy to read, the story overtakes you and drags you in, and before you are aware, the story has ended and you are smiling, replete in the world she has crafted.

Henley is a restrained and reserved character: far too used to expecting the worst from humanity, in his position as head of security he is a “by the book” sort of man, and doesn’t feel that sharing is the thing to do at the office. While rumors abound, his serious demeanor and large size have many people intimidated before even interacting with him.

Kat is an intern, and is far more concerned by what secrets may be unearthed during her tenure at Blaine Technologies: she doesn’t have time to be intimidated by the man who could represent her undoing. Careful observation shows her that beneath the gruff exterior is a man that intrigues her, intrigues her enough to make her want him.

So, what is an intrigued girl to do? She sets out a carefully plotted seduction, not caring that others see what she is doing on camera for Henley. Despite his every intention to halt her actions, he can’t be anything but intrigued, and the two start to become closer and share more about their pasts and secrets.

Super steamy and sensual, Kat’s confidence and single-minded dedication to the seduction of Henley is both amusing and captivating. Her fit and comfort in her own skin is enlightening: even when she isn’t 100% certain, she just powers on: much like a smile pasted on your face, confidence when faked often will bleed into your own psyche.

Although this is a shorter story, Cynthia Sax managed to pack all of the elements into the story: intrigue, secrets, personal concerns and super steamy and sensually presented scenes that will leave you squirming. A perfect introduction to her work for me, and one that will definitely have me grabbing more of her titles.

This was my first introduction to Cynthia Sax and I’m guessing it will not be my last. This is one erotically hot book that does not disappoint on pushing boundaries while developing a relationship that is perfect for the hero and heroine.

Kat is instantly drawn to Henley when they run into each other at a coffee shop. When she finds herself with him later she pushes all his buttons and shows him exactly how much she wants him. Kat is truly an exhibitionist and Henley loves to watch, but the secrets these two have could draw them closer or push them farther apart.

The sparks between these characters all but leaped off the pages of my e-reader. I fell in love with Henley on the spot; how could I not fall for a huge, scarred, protective giant that only wants to care for everyone? Kat was more of a challenge for me, as her character is probably the furthest thing from what I am. Throughout the book I found myself struggling with her increasing need to exhibit herself to the world and her obsession for Henley. At times I felt she was too needy and insecure and I squirmed in a different way then I did during the sex scenes. I was constantly screaming “boundaries Kat, boundaires” and wondering how many ways and times Kat could display herself to the entire security team that Henley supervised. I had to admire her single mindedness and confidence; I just don’t know if I could relate. Although I struggled with Kat, I was pleased to learn of her family struggle and could only imagine how that affected her and was perhaps the cause of her deep need to be displayed and loved.

Overall, Flashes of Me is a short, steamy, sexy story that manages all the elements of a well written story: suspense, secrets, and romance, while including super hot scenes that will have you seeking out your favorite honey. A great introduction to Cynthia Sax’s work for those of us that are not familiar with her.

"Flashes of Me" by Cynthia Sax is the scintillating erotic romance tale that continues exploring the very individualistic staff of the Blaine Technologies group, adding to the saga that was introduced with the novellas that comprise the ‘Seen’ trilogy. A new intern captures the attention of Henley, the head of security and her intriguing combination of bubble-headed vivacity and astute but compassionate discernment shows him that there is more to the busty and exhibitionistic blonde than immediately meets the eye. The question becomes, will she become an asset to the company or a threat?

This delicious tale combines very spicy and sensual scenes with a poignant tale of the importance of seeing beyond the superficial. On the surface, Katalina (Kat) is a naive exhibitionistic sensualist, starting a new job in a new state, but as the story unfolds, her character is shown to have so many more meaningful layers, including a compassionate heart, a shrewdly discerning eye and a wry sense of humor. Her protective barriers are breached by the physically intimidating and wonderfully complex man she calls the behemoth who also proves his dexterity at seeing much more than the outward display. I adore the complexity of Kat’s behavior as more and more is revealed even as I am in awe of her comfort with her own body (which she evidently does not hesitate to show to others!) and I will never again be able to look at cubicles in an office without chuckling. I am bemused by the idea of other uses for the underwire in one’s bra and am reminded of the need for compassion everywhere. This is a fantastic story, showcasing this author’s talents to present a compelling tale in a wonderfully concise manner and I definitely look forward to the next tale that further enlightens us on the complex employees at Blaine Technologies, including the enigmatic Camille and the acerbic Miss Yen!

This book is HOT!! and left me panting for the next installment. From the first page I loved the character Kat, her pain and the bewilderment of being alone for the first time in her life just made me want to give her a hug. Then seeing Henley in the coffee shop (ahhh my dream meeting place), she was struck by his behemoth size and aura of power. After Kat cheers up a upset women (showing her kind and compassionate side) she happen to run across Henley in a park with Kat shows Henley just how she likes to be watched. Without trying to give too much away we follow Kat and Henley’s journey and with its heart breaking ups and downs which literally brought me to tears, showing that Henley always finds away.

Katalina is the new intern at Blaine Technologies and Henley is the Head of Security. Before Katalina even knew who he was she spied him at the local coffee shop and was immediately smitten. He was just her physical type and she wanted him, oh so bad. But it was her first day in a new city at a new job trying to make a new start. When he disappeared with his coffee she hoped she’d see him there again. She had no idea how much she’d be seeing him and as his job was Head of Security she feels bad lying about who she really is.

Holy shit, this is going on my favorites list! My interest was caught from the very start and didn’t wane the entire time. I resented having to put it down to go cook dinner or do anything else for that matter. That tells me more than anything else about a book and this one delivers. It is not perfectly written. There are issues with repetition. I lost track of the number of times Kat refers to Henley as scarred and a behemoth and how scary he is to everyone except her. And the character development is very shallow, there’s not a whole lot of depth to these guys to really sink my teeth into. But this story just works for me. It’s more about Katalina dealing with her grief (and her avoidance of it) than anything else. She runs away from NY to LA and unexpectedly meets Henley, a man who is perfect for her. There is grief, yes, but there is plenty of humor and steamy sexiness, too. I love it. That is all.

Erotica with thin plot and ridiculous characters. They look at each in a coffee shop and it's love/lust/sex at first sight. Katalina treats Henley like he's her soulmate to the point where she gets stuck in the stairwell (after ignoring the introduction saying they're emergency only and alarmed) and Henley comes to get her and Camille (who never even gets introduced) out and she jumps on him saying he rescued her. I mean they were in the stairwell for like five minutes. Very dramatic and over the top. She annoyed me. Katalina acted like a little girl the majority of the time - she has major daddy issues - and the rest of the time like an idiot. Well and a bit like a stalker. The sex happens immediately and continuously and publicly.

But here's my biggest issue. The dad's death. Okay he's dead and she misses him - but I found the constant mentions of him wrong. Because the whole book is driven by sex and her dad. Yeah I think you can see the problem. Like she has her dad's shirt hanging in the wardrobe of her hotel room. Fine. But then she makes a point of saying that Henley's shirt hangs next to that. And her suit next to both and it's like they're in some weird threesome.

The storyline is very weak but if you're only reading for the sex then sure it's great. There's a few funny lines and it's entertaining enough bar a few of the problems to do with what I mentioned under the spoiler. I just prefer more plot and character development.

Kat sees something in Henley others don't. She starts her new job as an intern where he works security. She has a few secrets she doesn't want anyone to know but her wanting Henley isn't one. She sets out to break his no sex at work policy. Henley has his own secrets and he just wants to make sure Blaine Technologies stays safe. He is excellent at his job and if others fear him he tries not to let it bother him. Kat makes him want to do things he has always been against. She sees something in him he has never let anyone see before.

Holy Hotness! This book is so steamy and so good. From the start you get to see just how much Kat wants Henley. She pushes all his buttons and really isn't afraid to let anyone see how much she wants him. I love how open she is when she shows what she has for Henley and everyone else sees. She isn't one bit ashamed of it. Henley seems like a silent giant but Kat gets him to be more open and teases him whenever she can. Like I said this is a very hot book packed full steamy scenes. Besides hat you also see a woman finally open up as to what happened in her family and how it affected her. Henley also opens up about his past and the two become super close. If you love a spicy story with characters that are amazing be sure to pick this one up. you may just want to find an elevator of your own.

When Katalina begins a new job at Blaine Technologies, she is immediately transfixed by a huge, gentle giant who just happens to be the head of security. He’s handsome, intelligent, and utterly bewitched her from the first minutes of their meeting. Attempting to provoke him into approaching her, Kataline realizes he can see everything she does. So Kat proceeds to entice Henley, the head of Cyber Security, as much as possible, leading to a delightful back and forth.
So I was a bit back and forth on this book. It gets very naughty pretty quickly, but once I got over the first two or three chapters, I was engrossed in the characters. Henley is such an enigma and I honestly could have read about him for a whole other book. Raw and emotional, Sax does a pretty darn good job of writing how these two completely opposite characters look at their lives in completely different ways...which in turn, make the book a quick read and an even better ending.

Note: I totally read this series out of order so I completely condone reading this book even if you haven’t read the previous installments.

Very hot and super sweet, Flashes of Me was a lovely erotic romance novella. I really liked this short read. It was hot, sweet,and enjoyable.

Both characters were great. Kat was clever, more so than she let on at first and stronger than she believed herself to be. Henley seemed intimidating at first, with his daunting size and formidable expression, but he was really a sweet, kind, and firmly honorable man. I adored him. My only issue with both characters is that they were a bit shallow, especially with the underdevelopment of their dark pasts. I would have liked to have seen a little more depth into that. But, otherwise, I really liked them.

The romance was both sweet and hot. I liked how Kat and Henley understood each other so completely. And, their chemistry was ON FIRE! There was some super hot steaminess. Get ready to fan your face, because it was downright steamy.

The plot was quick and I was kept interested the entire way through. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was perfect.

Flashes of Me was a wonderful erotic romance novella. I really liked this quick read. Romance lovers, if you want something hot and sweet, then you should check this book out.

Henley the head of security is getting his chance with this spin off novella from The Seen Trilogy. I must say Henley is a monster of a dude but inside his hard exterior is man who just wants to protect what is his. This includes Blaine Technology and it's employees; even interns like Kat.

The chemistry between the two is introduced right away! I was immediately drawn into Kat and her boldness. Her willingness to do as she pleased and not care what others thought was refreshing. She did put up a ditsy façade but we knew she was nothing but.

And Henley!! Can I just say I want to be held by a man that big just once...please! He is hard and people are scared of him, but not Kat. He is all man and she can only imagine what a man his size could do with her in and out of the office.

Then add some steamy sex scenes *fans self* I often found myself imagining I was working in security watching them. CRAZY SEXY!

Ceritanya tergolong lumayan lah untuk bacaan cepat dan ringan karena tidak ada konflik yang berat dalam cerita ini.

From the first page to the last this book will have you hooked. Forget about cooking, cleaning or shopping you will not be able to put it down. The chemistry between Kat and Henley is off the charts hot. When an exhibitionist meets her voyeur sparks fly. I fell in love with the characters immediately, probably because Kat and I and Henley and my husband are a lot alike. Kat who’s nursing emotional loss, underestimated because of her beauty and a whole lot of fun to be around and Henley the “behemoth” everyone is afraid of, except for Kat, with his drive to keep people safe due to his own losses in life. I’ve enjoyed every one of Sax’s books I’ve ever read but this one by far is my favorite. A must read, you won’t be disappointed.

Flashes of Me is a spin off of Cynthia Sax's The Seen Trilogy. Flashes of Me features Henley, who is the bodyguard mentioned in The Seen Trilogy. The book can be read as a stand alone book.

In Flashes of Me, Henley, head of security at Blaine Technologies, meets Katalina, a new intern. They quickly get involved in a heated romance that has many twists and turns. I absolutely love Cynthia's writing style and her sense of humor. I like how she doesn't give everything away right off the bat and the reader definitely has to think a little bit to fully appreciate the story. I absolutely loved The Seen Trilogy but this book surpasses that story in my opinion. Henley was amazing and I so want his clone. Highly recommend this book.

Okay, so this one was a bit out there. I have an acquaintance who's into exhibitionism, so I get that part (although, the person I know is not as bold as our main character, kitten, err.. I mean Kat), what makes this story so great is the relationship (MCs together, as well as the secondary characters) and the dialog. How can you not love a book where the main protagonist refers to her hunky, over-sized guy as 'my behemoth'? This novella will stretch the boundaries of your reality, but it is a darn good read, well-paced and fun. Don't try to figure their relationship out, just realize it is what it is- Take this one in the spirit it was intended, and enjoy the ride.

I just absolutely LOVED how this story unfolded!! Beautifully written. It takes the reader to an emotional and physical level. I loved how Cynthia Sax included characters from her previous books as well (The Seen Series.) The connection between the main characters Kat and Henley is undeniably hot and romantic all the way. Again, its not your average day erotic book, this book takes the reader to an erotic level and then creatively captures you in other emotional levels. I felt like I was Kat, and my heart ached at certain points and then my heart raced and soared in other points of this book. You have to buy this book!! Its THAT good.

Easy read but a fun read...
This was the first book that I have read by this author, but I will definitely be reading more.
The characters are not complicated and the sex is off the charts. It was a fun read, the kind of read that is great for when you are in the mood to read, but you don't want to have to pay attention to a lot of character development details.
The heroine is funny and the conversations and inner dialogue leave you with a goofy grin on your face throughout the book.
I would have no problem recommending this book to a cool friend or family member; I know that I will definitely be reading more of this author's work.

Need a fast read that is hot and exciting? I whole heartedly recommend Cynthia Sax's Flashes of Me. This novella is the sexually sizzling story of Kat, a smart, sensitive and sensual young woman, and Henley, a behemoth, as she calls him, who immediately attracts her lust and her trust.I was immediately drawn to the playful banter between Kat and Henley, as Kat pushes to find how far she can go with this giant of a man who instills fear in all of those who work under him and yet sees their safety and security as a his personal duty.This story is well written and a very enjoyable read.

3.5 Stars. This book caught me right from the start. Henley is definitely alpha and pushed all my buttons. Kat is sweet but shows us a wounded past. Like others, I loved the story and the connection but wished I could have experienced a more deeper look at their characters and had more development of their back stories. Perhaps this is more my problem with novellas versus novels. I want to know everything!

As with her previous novels, Sax has delivered an erotically charged, captivating, and intimately detailed story that flows faster than the speed of light! A great object of foreplay, I feel that any lover of the genre will find this satisfying. I look forward to the next installment!

4.5 favourite herroine and awesome book-couple stars!

darn, i wish all the female lead in all erotica were like Katalina!! her filthy mouth, her exhibitionist fetish, her dumb blondes charade. a brave brazen, wild kitten, proud of her sexuality, sexy vixen.

she and Henley are literally a power couple. i so want to read their future story.

the only flaw was the ending. i dont get it.

It was my first Cynthia Sax book, and my first ever Erotic book. The premise intrigued me, the price was right and it's not too long, so I thought I had nothing to lose. Well, lo and behold, I never though an erotic novella could be so sweet, charming, and fun ! I just loved it; it's fresh, well-written, sexy obviously; a joy. I'm anxiously waiting for the second book ! Don't miss this !
