With the pressure off, and the Magi a world away, Alex begins training for the inevitable. But trouble soon rears its ugly head as unexpected side effects from the bonding with Balthazar kick in. The demon lord isn't immune to the changes, and as he tries to cope with gaining a decidedly too heavy conscience, as well as the loss of his kingdom, he fails to notice the shift in Alexandra until it is too late. Without Balthazar to rule over the kingdom of Devas, a brutal civil war ensues that rocks the entire world of demons as all nations choose a side. If Tavi isn't able to stop Ashdad and his Magi created army, Alexandra may have even more problems on her hands than the changes going on inside of her.

I got the first book for free on Amazon, and against my better judgement, I spent money buying parts 2 and 3. I regret that now, and wish I had read the reviews first so I could have discovered that this series was incomplete. There is a book 4 due at some unknown date and I suspect book 4 still will not be the final book in the series. The story is interesting, but the writing style is a bit haphazard. She would jump so suddenly from one character to another, that I would have to pause and make sure I hadn't accidentally skipped a page or paragraph.I read a lot of paranormal/fantasy fiction and I kept thinking that the writer had such a brilliant idea but kept trying to do too much and somehow didn't do enough. Conclusion: I may keep an eye out to see if the series is ever completed, but I don't recommend this book to anyone who likes a complete tale with a satisfactory ending.
I really enjoined the 3 books but I was very disappointed in the ending. I wanted much more for Alex I wanted her to use her powers and kick some ass and make things right and live her days out in the demon world with her lover, but nope the ending was a huge let down, I sure hope you write another book it seems unfinished
Oh n the riveting final battle of the book of demons trilogy Alex can finally be with her boyfriend and the fighting has officially stopped in the Magi world.
Ok, once again, I have no resolution to the story line. It still flows as a story and it's readable but once again I'm left at the end wondering "what now?". Now I have to wait until book 4 comes out. I wish authors would write their series books as stand alones or at least have some kind of resolution in them.
Enjoyed it but aAlexanders character changed too dramatically she shunned her power couldn't wait to get rid of it. She should of learned more instead of listening to others and doing what they wanted. She knew she was destined for greater good but couldn't cope. Felt sorry for her in a way.
This book was really good, much better then the last, I'm hoping that Alex has a happy ending in the last book cause man o man is she constantly getting hit with the shit stick!!!!
I more or less just want to know what happens....it's so jumbled, and it's very fast paced. Yet, it somehow manages to keep me entertained and ensnared in its trap!
