Nowwwwww, why would this book end like this? Miss Ma'am Talehia waited until the last 5 pages to hit you with the B O O M!
Anyhow, this story was very different, and I loved that about it! Khozen Gonzalez, although cold and closed off, definitely exuded money, power, and respect! Khozen was immediately drawn to Adora when he first laid eyes on her. Although he tries to fight it in the beginning, she eventually wins him over. Adora is a naturally beautiful BBW who lacks confidence in most areas of her life until she meets Khozen. Now, they definitely didn’t meet under normal circumstances, but I love how their love story unfolded! Adora seemed to be the calm that Khozen needed.
There were areas of the book that were cringeworthy! The fact that Adora’s character continued to verbalize how she was a big girl that shouldn’t be wearing certain clothes, having a chance with certain men, or receiving certain things was a bit much. I get having doubts and making them known, but what more was she looking for? There were also many spelling and grammatical errors that took away from the experience for me as the reader. I found myself having to reread things several times before I understood what was going on! Although not the best, it was a pretty decent read, and I am going to read book 2!

This book had the potential to be great. The author just couldn't quite get the scenes to flow right. Things were moving too fast. It just seems like a lot should have been added, but it was missed.

Where is book 2 this book was fire I read it in like 45 minutes. I thought it was a standalone but the way it ended I need book 2 ASAP. This book is a darn good read a real page turner. Loved It🤎

I can understand why Khozen grew up to be closed off, a man of very few word's, and seem cold. He lost both of his parent's when he was ten year's old. I knew Storm and Shay past went deeper and far beyond a friendship. Storm was heartbroken to see she was strung out drugs and was determined to help get Shay clean even by force and having Khozen keep her daughter Adora hostage. I hope like hell Shay don't turn out to be scandalous. I think she has the answers to some questions Storm have about how his brother and sister in-law was murdered. You can tell Khozen was smitten the first time he saw Adora. He tried to fight his feelings for Adora but that didn't last long. Adora was a sweetheart. Since her father was murdered and her grandmother passed away. All she really had was her mother Shay, best friend Niyah, and a disrespectful boyfriend King. With Storm and Khozen showing up at her and her mother house. Adora thought they were just another drug dealer who she had to pay because of her mother owing them. However that wasn't the case. She found herself in a situation she didn't know if her and her mother would make it out of. She also found herself attracted to Khozen but Adora was very insecure and the predicament she was in wasn't idea. Dealing with a verbally abusive bastard like King. I can understand why her confidence was low as hell. Khozen definitely showed and taught her how to keep her head held high and to love her curves. I already knew Azaria and Skilla friendship was more than what she was making it out to be. Skilla applied the pressure and made Azaria his. When Azaria explained her situation with Lowe and how they met. Something in my gut is telling me Lowe knew exactly who Azaria. The way he acted and threatened her for following her heart with Skilla and breaking it off with him. Let me know that Lowe was serious about his threat's and I was correct. Azaria have been harmed and Lowe is behind it. I don't see anything good coming from what Lowe did to Azaria. Especially when her father, cousin, and husband find out. I see the beast coming out of Storm, Khozen, and Skilla. The way this ended left my jaw dropping. I don't believe in coincidences. Lowe coming for Azaria then Adora getting a phone call from the dead. Something is definitely about to happen and it won't be good. Paris hoe ass know she lied when she told Adora that Khozen was her baby daddy. I hope Adora isn't naive to believe it without talking to Khozen first.

ughhh disappointing
My favorite read is a slow burn because the momentum that’s built. The details jump right off the page && the characters get to come to life. This book lacked that. Im fine with love at first sight but you have to build on that. At 40% of the book the only thing they knew about each other were she had a bf, she’s a baker, && her momma on drugs. Where is Khozen’s side? Every time we get his POV it’s a chapter about her. Yes they have to enter act but why don’t we get to learn about him what does he do all day? Where did the casamigos come from? Where did Azaria go when adora went missing? When we are on Adora we get nothing as well. She is in school also works, we can’t see that? From a women who has had to be super independent takes care of her mother and even provides for her bf, why do we not see that while she’s with Khozen? The man who blew herself esteem, how did he do that? Where are the late night conversations? Where are the real emotions? They had a “powerful” kiss, how did that make her feel? Was there a tingle in her spine? Butterflies in her stomach? Hot feeling soaring through her body? I’m sure she is used to violence and strange men being aggressive because of money owed but she felt nothing about the gun to her head? From a man she is so intrigued by. How could he do that to her if he was so in love from the first second? On top of all that the editing was nonexistent && I still decided to push through to 42% but I can’t take it any longer!

Khozen was definitely “DADDY,” 😻🌊 he came into Adora’s life and turned her into a women!!! I love their love and I love how he loves on her 🥰 I hope she don’t go doing some childish isshhhh off emotions. Lowe is another crazy white dude with money that thinks he’s entitled to whatever he wants, including Azaria. Skilla about to loose his top once realization kicks in. It’s about to be the battle of the old heads, but what really is the question is how is that Samuel when he was supposed to be dead? Uh uhh it’s some isshhh in the atmosphere, cause this ain’t adding up.

Something told me that her daddy wasn't really dead. I believe he the one to have had something to do with her mama Shay being kidnapped and put on drugs. But why resurface now? Maybe he had something to do with Khozen's parents being killed also. It's about to be smoke coming from all different directions. I hope Lowe did his homework before he came for Azaria. Storm, Khozen and her husband Skilla gonna have a field day with him. I love Khozen and Adore together. He breathes confidence into her unlike King. I need part 2!!!
What the hell just happened I did not see any of those cliffhangers coming. Things are about to get really crazy in part 2 because ol girl done opened up a can of worms with that baby daddy lie she done told Adora about Khozen when she knows he is not wrapped too tight. Lowe kidnapping Azaria is about to start an all out war because he is not who he portrayed himself to be when he met her, I think he had an agenda from the beginning which is why he was so mad she broke it off with him to be with Skilla.

I like how this book starts you from the beginning so you can get a better understanding!! Khozen and Adora both have lost a parent! Khozen is a hard shell to crack, but I’m glad him and Adoras attraction to one another happened!! They definitely couldn’t deny it at all. Skilla and Zaria love I’m glad he finally manned up and they are going to be together lmbo he said we married on the first night of him being our lmbo!! That crazy chick at the end knows dang well that’s not Khozen child!! && adora dad just popping up and calling her is scary he supposed to be dead!

Mixed Emotions
From the beginning, I felt sorrow in the pit of my soul! The chain of events, lead them down a different path, in which I thought they would go.
The path in which, the bestfriends took was path where they couldn't be touched.
So, my heart lightened some, when a killa had to babysit. From there, it was funny, but heart wrenching.
I can't wait to see where this maze its us.

This was such a good and entertaining story, right from the first page. The writer pulls us right in to the rush and punches the gas. I love the fact when we get not only an exceptional cast of characters but when they winning also.The group of sisters in this story are strong and definitely can hold their own. This was not only well written but executed as well. I will not give out hints or spoilers because this is an experience you have to indulge yourself.

This was a very good story... however the typos drove me crazy. With that said we get a story that is different in that the main characters are just trying to find and keep the ove and alive... the crazy twist all happen at the end I thought it was a standalone... I know Khozen is going to go crazy if Adore don't come home happy.

Good book
I enjoyed reading this story. The characters were somewhat relatable. The only problem I'll have is if Adora just listens to what some random says instead of asking Khozen for the real. I hate stories where the girl is so insecure that anybody can tell her anything about her man and she just believes it without taking the time to talk to him.

Talehia, chile I ain't slept for damn near 24 hours fooling with you and these books. Ok so I love Khozen. He didn't want nothing to do with Adora but look at him now and I love it. Now Lowe seems to be hard headed now Skilla and Storm along with Khozen are about to paint the city red.

First I would like to say Talehia you are definitely one of my favs now. This story kept my interest from start to finish. Khozen is all that but Skilla is it for me. That man kept me rolling. On to part 2!!!

Loved the book and the story. Can't wait for part I I. My only complaint is why do the BLACK novels have so many typos. Please check your editors and proof readers. They're getting paid for nothing. Hello!
