Cute generic spice of high schools life

I wish I could give 5 stars but the story is just to generic that it's forgettable. Is trying hard to be in the running with "a condition called love" it similar series but it's missing the hook that keeps you remembering the characters.

4.5 stars. So cute. I like how they're both dealing with jealousy, while the MMC is so down bad for her.

While the new female character was interesting for the sake of Maaya’s little character development, I didn’t like her. She just felt off to me the entire time she was there and I especially didn’t like her treatment of Tezuka (both in the flashback and in the current manga time). I hope that she doesn’t make any more appearances in the story, although I feel like it could still happen which would irritate me. Chigira’s surprise for Maaya’s 17th birthday was crazy to see, since I don’t recall any male love interest (so young) going to that extent for their significant other. It was all around adorable and the way that this volume ended was beyond cute.
Overall I’m curious to see what happens in the next volume since despite wanting to see Maaya and Chigira’s relationship progress further, I’m starting to get a bit more invested in Chigira’s unique friendship with Tezuka and their dynamic together.

Malditos cursis, os adoro por muy estúpidos que seáis y muy cliché que sea vuestra historia.

A touch unrealistic

I had this book in my collection on Goodreads, but there was no rating for it. It seemed that I had forgotten to read it and skipped over to volume nine. Halfway through reading this volume, I discovered I *had* read it before, but it was so unmemorable that it had slipped my mind.

This volume felt modular as if the author had pulled the scenes from a catalogue. Here is the MC experiencing jealousy for the first time segment. Here is the perfect boyfriend segment. Here is the boy scolding the girl for being too sexy segment.

Add to that the common trope of the boyfriend saving up for some big gift while triggering loneliness, jealousy, and abandonment issues in the girlfriend. Compound that with the big gift being an afternoon in a hotel room, lounging around in bathrobes while they chastely smooch on a bed, and you have a story that defies belief. If the main characters had personalities, I might care about this more than I do.

The story is not bad overall, and I’ve read worse, but I’m not sure if I’ll stick around for volume 10. I’m too cynical for this story.

Argh, the teenage angst and insecurity is off the charts in this volume. The timeline threw me a bit, as I thought their one month anniversary just passed, but apparently Chigira was working part time jobs for months to pay for her birthday. Maaya spends way too much time being jealous over nothing. Dunno how Maaya is too naive to understand what Chigiri means about losing control. Poor guy is very responsible at least. I don’t think there is enough alcohol in a liquor chocolate to get drunk, and that’s speaking as someone with sensitivity to alcohol…

Tezuka is…an idiot. What a stupid reason to drop your best friend 🙄

Tezuka continues to be my fav character. He has the most depth. But our couple is cute and he is a horn dog in the sweetest way. I love that for her. I love it. I want everyone to have love that is as sweet as this.
