[Menage Erotic Menage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, public exhibition, sex toys, HEA] Former IAD agent Katrina "Trinity" Cross is in desperate need of a vacation. When a friend asks for a personal favor, Trinity agrees to fly to the island of Sunset Point, only to find that things in paradise aren't what they seem... Jackson Stone is a man who likes regulation and order, but when Katrina Cross arrives on his island, life as he knows it'll never be the same. Falling behind schedule is not allowed in Maxwell King's orderly world. Missing money, cheap materials, and a dead foreman top of the list of his problems, but nothing shakes him more than the sexy siren that sets his body on fire... As the investigation heats up, Maxwell and Jackson both fall for Trinity, but she can't choose between the uptight corporate mogul and the rough and ready police lieutenant. Can she find a way to keep them both, or will their love become a casualty at the cross point?
Laurie Roma mainly writes contemporary, romantic suspense, fantasy, and sci-fi romance. She can usually be found tapping away on her keyboard, creating worlds for her characters while she listens to music. Of course, her playlist depends on her mood…but then again, so does her writing. She loves to hear from her readers and can be reached at laurieromabooks@gmail.com.
I loved this story. Trinity is a member of the IAD and has been sent to find out why the resort her friends fiancé owns is not being built. There she meets Maxwell, owner of the resort and Jackson, police officer. Both madly in love with Trinity. This is a steamy, sext hot read, there’s intrigue and danger and romance and lots of loving. I loved it.
From the first time I was introduced to Trinity Cross in Ms. Roma’s IAD Series, I knew it would take a super special man to tame this wild cat. The joke was on me because it took not one special man, but two to bring this woman down. Trinity is fierce and passionate and completely real and honest. She makes no apologies for who she is and what she wants and she decides that she wants not only Jackson, but Maxwell too. And she wants them both together. Jackson and Maxwell overcome their own insecurities and doubts and woo Trinity, complete with a few missteps and misunderstandings along the way. These characters have passion and fire and hold you completely spellbound when they are together. Their raw passion and chemistry keeps your senses sizzling and your hormones all aflutter. The plot was fast paced and action packed and gave me everything I’ve come to expect in a Laurie Roma book…plus a little extra more. Throw in some Naughty Sprinkles and some good-old-fashion butt kicking and this book entertains you from beginning to end. 5 of 5 stars.
Action, suspense, twists and trios everything that Trinity wasn’t expecting when she agreed to help out a friend while investigating problems at an island resort built for pleasure.. but finding herself between two hard dominant men puts Trinity in a spin as she and her men juggle their feelings between the bullets… this is a definite hard to put down fast paced read and loved catching up with the other characters from the agency…
I’ve loved all the books by this author that I’ve read, and I did enjoy parts of this one but somehow Trinity didn’t appeal to me as much as Lynx, T-Rex and Nikkita, I don’t know if it was the poly part that I had a hard time believing was love so quickly or if I just couldn’t warm up to her two men. It’s still a good read just not as great as the others.
I'm going to give this one 3 1/2 stars. I LOVE Laurie Roma's IAD agency series, and I was excited to see Trinity get her own story in a spin off series. It had the usual great action suspense, and steamy love scenes that I have come the expect from Ms. Roma. What made me not give it more stars was two reasons. One, to me, Trinity seemed to act bratty (a nice way of putting it) a lot of the time. Strong heroines are my favorite to read about. But she threw the attitude a little to much--if people didn't do or say what she wanted, she would just get mad and leave. Second, I've read ménage stories before, but I think this is the first where the H's are not best friends or brothers before. I think it kind of puts a strain on the relationship. I wish the story was longer so the relationship could build more naturally and not feel rushed. I still fell it is well written, and will definitely be reading more upcoming books from this series!
2.5 stars. I wasn't sure how the author was going to pull off a menage relationship between 3 strangers, but she managed to put together a fairly enjoyable read. I liked both Max and Jackson but I never got to the point where I liked Trinity. What triggers her in one scene she completely ignores in others. I would have liked more consistency in her character. The sex scenes were smoking. The ending was a little too hunky-dory for me. I finished the book feeling that despite the happy ending, the trio had a long road ahead of them.
[3 stars] overall i think the book is so-so, wasnt expecting a menage ending, thought trinity will end up choosing one of them at the start of the book. but i feel that the book seems to focus more on the menage a trois portion instead of the part where trinity is being sent to sunset point to investigate the resort construction sites.
