Now I know this book was made in the early 90s, but I don't love it. However, it has so much potential. It's repetitive, which is good for beginning readers; I just feel like there's not much of a story going on. I think I would like it a lot more if you could like flip open the closet door and bedsheets or torn over the laundry basket. It could be so fun and interactive, like oh...there he is, but it's still a cute and easy-to-read book.

Where is Ben? is a cute picture book by Marisabina Russo that is about Ben, a little boy, playing hide and seek with his mom while she makes them an apple pie. Ben goes all over the house picking different hiding spots and yelling for his mom to come and find him. She always does and then they pick up the mess Ben made together. This goes on until he hides in his room and his mom finds him just in time to pick up his toys and read a story before his nap. I like this book, it's a cute little story with nice illustrations. Ben has fun playing with his mom and she never get upset when she finds that he made a mess during their game. They just clean up the mess and start again. It's a nice book that kids would probably like to have read to them or to read themselves. It's a relatively easy read to get through. The book could be used to teach kids to clean up after themselves, but i don't see much more than that outside of just being for entertainment.
