These are interesting enthralling tales that make you think.

The theme of Maria Savva’s three excellent stories is that of how all the various things we do in our lives colour our futures, and no matter how much you think your past is over, it’s always lurking there somewhere, waiting to impinge on your everyday life in the most unexpected of ways.

What I like about Maria’s stories is that she is the master of the unexpected, of the final twist that you didn’t see coming. They’re reads that make you think, and almost make you say out loud at the end, ‘I’d never have thought of that!’

The first story is about a sinister childhood secret. Tom has a new girlfriend. But when she tells him a little bit about her life, and all about a tragic family secret, events take an unexpected turn.. .

The second story about a girl who’s getting married. Is there something she doesn’t know about her husband to be?

And the third yarn is all about revenge, but a totally unexpected kind of revenge that you don’t know about until right at the end.

These are lively, interesting tales that set you thinking, from a writer who has got the knack of revealing an unexpected ending down to a very fine art indeed.

I have just spent an enjoyable afternoon, reading and thinking about Maria Savva’s latest collection of short stories.

3 contains three excellent stories: “Never to be Told”, “The Bride” and “What the Girl Heard”. The first story describes the first date between Amber and Tom, who have far more in common than either of them can imagine at the start of the date.

“The Bride” has a real paranormal aspect to it, which is something I really like about so much of this talented author’s work. Olivia is delighted that Rod has asked her to marry him, but he has secrets which disturb and alarm the bride to be.

The final story in the collection opens with a baby sitting evening that ends disastrously for all involved. It is only many years later that babysitter, Victoria, learns the full impact that her bedtime story had on her young charge, Minnie Baker.

Maria Savva’s short stories are a joy to read. They are beautifully written and constructed, drawing you into the story within a few sentences. More please, Maria!

After reading Maria Savva’s novel, Haunted, many months ago, and loving it, I knew I was going to enjoy 3 the author’s newest release of three paranormal short stories.

I enjoyed all three stories for different reasons, but what impressed me the most is that they all made me think … wonder … about the thin line that separates the past and the present—reality from imagination. Savva’s stories make us think about things people do, good and bad, and how actions always have a ripple effect that lead into the future and beyond. There is always a connection—and even if it is not sought, that connection has a way of making itself known.

Warning: you may get a chill after reading the last words of these stories. Kudos to the author for another clever and absorbing read.

I am already a fan of Maria Savva and look out for anything new she's written, and I'm never disappointed.

This collection, although short, is thought provoking, clever and even chilling.

I don't give spoilers but will say that each of the three tales is worth reading, the writing itself drawing in the reader to want more. I loved the characters, which were believable and realistic.

Cleverly done - another hit in my opinion.

Awesome stories! They all had a surprising twist and the red thread in the stories is the unbelievable coincidences all the characters experience.

My favorite story is "What The Girl Heard"

I look forward to reading more from this author.

Excellent stories! Keep me turning the pages, I felt sorry for Tom in the first story. The ending in the second story caught me off guard. The third story ended better than I thought it would. Great job! All three stories have links to the past. Kinda spooky! Download and enjoy!

"3" is three thematically-linked short stories that delve deeply into the human conscience. In "Never to be Told and "What the Girl Heard," a character is holding a secret deep inside him or herself. It is a secret that has weighed on their conscience all of their lives, and circumstances in the stories force them to face their past tormented decisions, at least internally. "The Bride" delves into the character's past, as she discovers what happened to a childhood friend that she used to play Barbie with. The book explores consequences to decisions that have to be made in a flash.

The stories are fast-paced, enjoyable reads that can easily be read in one sitting.

If you are like me, you will find yourself involved in the characters and wondering: What would I have done in the same situation?

This made me want to read more work by this author.

Author Maria Savva has crafted three excellent stories. Her emotions and her characters are vivid and real. What the Girl Heard was my personal favorite as it described domestic violence with a heartfelt twist. The impact of our actions and choices are a theme throughout. Every person has the ability to profoundly change the world and those within it.
