I chose this book because I was intrigued by the summery. Boy did this book deliver! Wow! I really hope there is a sequel to this book because I so want know what happens next.
Jane is an administrative assistant who is not just a hard worker but also one that is continually overlooked. At her office party, she is the only one that is not captured on film. She is also a 24-year-old virgin. She sees a chance to break out of her shell with Matt. Matt is a hot and sexy man who unknown to Jane works as a computer hacker. He is hired to hack into her company’s computers and he is going to use Jane as his way in. Matt is attracted to Jane and manages to get her to agree to sleep with him.
The chemistry between Jane and Matt is blistering hot. The sex scenes are scorching hot. These two burn up the pages when they are together. It is easy to see there emotions for the other when they are together.
I would have liked a better ending or a more flushed out ending. I have no idea why Jane forgive Matt for what he did as fast as she did. This is why I hope for a sequel so we can see what happens next. Overall, this was a wonderfully hot and sexy story. I will be keeping an eye out for more by Ms. Brooks.

Two are playing the game but only one knows the rules. Will the winner take all or will they call a draw? Jane must face her fears and Matt must face the man he is.
Compulsion is a very good BDSM book, though the BDSM is light. It gave just enough fire for the BDSM fan and offers another sexual adventure for the reader to enjoy. The characters were outstanding and the surprises along the way culminate in an epic ending the reader will never see coming. I recommend Compulsion to BDSM and romance fans alike both will find something to like about the writing of Ms. Brooks.

It was smut at its finest. The ending took me by complete surprise, especially the epic sex scene. Didn't see the High Priest coming into the scene. Pretty awesome though!

4 stars for the hotness, but 2 stars for Matt's attitude. I wasn't expecting an elaborate story, I was in it for the smut factor and that's what I got. And it was scorching hot. But some of the things that were said were not ok with me. This review gets pretty rant-y and a little spoilery, so beware.
The first thing that ticked me off was him saying that she would look prettier without her glasses and that she had to wear contacts whenever she saw him. I wear glasses. I like my glasses, and I hate contacts. Glasses are not an accessory, they are a medical necessity for someone to see. This was a really minor part of the book, but it pissed me off enough that I was still thinking about it by the end. Don't tell a girl she shouldn't wear her glasses.
Secondly, the whole hymen scene was just weird, not to mention inaccurate.
And third, Matt saying that Jane was "too old" to be a virgin was super annoying. No one is too old to be a virgin. A woman should have sex with whomever she deems worthy at whatever age she feels ready.
Anyway. Ranting is now over. Maybe I was just in a bad mood today, but this book rubbed me the wrong way. The hotness factor juuuuust managed to tip it to the positive rating side for me.

Wow. This is the first thought I had after I was finished reading this. This is one hot freaking man! My eyes would be cross-eyed if I ever did see such a man. Thus book was scorching. It was off the freaking charts hot. All right I am gushing. Who would not be? You'd have to be a nun. Well even then they will definitely be salivating over this book! Yummy. The man I cannot stop gushing! The man was hot.
What he says to her like:
“Do you know what this does to me? What this means? Get on the desk, Jane. I’m going to eat you like a fucking peach.”
This line practically curled my toes....
And this one:
It’s a shrine. That bed is the altar. I am the high priest, the ravening beast. And you, my sweet Jane, are my virgin sacrifice.”
Awesome visual....
And this one:
“Look at me, Jane. I want to see your eyes when a man enters your body for the first time. When I take you.”
A touch more of his lets say a side that's really looking for a connection to her.
Very surprising. Do I recommend this book? Hell yeah. It was extremely hot. Will I reread this book? Duh.

5 stars because this book is a major major turn on though there were a few bits I didn't really like. But damn the sex is amazing...
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THE SEX IN THIS BOOK. THE AMOUNT OF HOTNESS THAT IS THROWN INTO THIS BOOK IS OFF THE CHARTS! Damn. Matt is one badass dominant. One badass alpha male dominant. I like that we are thrown that little twist and drama towards the end of spice things up a little, pun not intended.
Sex aside, the story could have been developed a lot more. The potential is there but the ending was kinda rushed. I wished there was a little more romance instead of Max being all OTT dom. AND, WITH HIM AS A DOM, HE KINDA SUCKED because he kinda pressured her and didn't talk everything out and establish boundaries...I neither liked nor hate Jane...she was okay, a little timid and repressed.

That was awesome! I would have liked to give it a 5 but the authour rushed the ending, there was easily room for another chapter to round out the story more fully
Other than that, this is a sexy, hot and steamy read between two very different individuals. Jane is caught spying on her neighbour, he catches her, and then they decide to venture into an agreement for him to be her date to her big work Christmas party. Trouble is, she has to agree to everything he says and does for the rest of the week until the party on Saturday night. This is where all the fireworks begin and the exploration for Jane becomes reality. She becomes the woman she has always envisioned herself as in her head in real life thanks to her agreement with Matt and the changes her brings forward. Some of the plot, yeah, you saw it coming, but how it played out was unexpected, somewhat. And we really needed the extra chapter to know what happened - it would have been the whipped cream on the sundae!

3.5 stars. The entire story is based around a one week sexual arrangement. It certainly delivers in that aspect, however there were a few times that some of the conversation seemed unnatural -- like, that's not the way people talk in real life. But let's forget about that and just focus on the story, OK? I was surprised when the story ended abruptly. There was kind of a happy ending, but there is so much more story to tell. I hope there is a sequel.

Oh, the last two chapters.....I really enjoyed this book until the lazy end. It seemed to me like the author was trying to reach some deadline and she hurried the ending, which kind of ruined the story for me. Fingers crossed she's writing a sequel and the story will pick up where it left off. JB Brooks writes very hot sex scenes. Hopefully, she has more books in store.

October 2, 2013It lost me right at beginning. Sneaking into your neighbor's backyard to spy on him within 24 hrs of his move-in seemed a bit dysfunctional and very much criminal. I wasn't interested in reading about any of this after that.
