Christopher Beckwith

9 books7 followers
Christopher Beckwith, 45, was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but has lived in Atlanta since 1970 and considers himself a native. Formerly employed as a computer technician, Beckwith says he found life unfulfilling in the corporate world and yearned for a more rewarding means to make his mark on the world.

Craving a better life for himself and for the chance to make a difference in the lives of others, he began toying with the idea of becoming a published author. Writing began as a hobby for this talented author but soon became his passion. Following the examples of his two favorite authors, E. Lynn Harris and Eric Jerome Dickey, Beckwith's work reveals an astute sense of imagery giving his premier novel, ‘What's In It For Me?’, an almost dream-like feeling of realism.

Beckwith is a masterful storyteller with characters that will remind the reader of someone they actually know, if not themselves. In fact, to read Beckwith's novel is to take part in a surreal experience that blurs the line between fact and fiction. And his unique approach to dialogue is sure to capture the reader's attention while making it almost impossible to put the book down before completing it.

Beckwith finds writing to be the perfect vehicle for dispelling myths about the alternative lifestyle and hopes that his novel will bridge the gap for those whose limited awareness of this segment of the population has primarily depended on stereotypical misconceptions.

Disturbing read

Instead of encouraging people to be cautious and preventive when it comes to same-sex relations; this book glorifies unprotected sexual relation. Not only does it sensationalize unprotected sex, it gives licenses and reason for incest. I recommend against reading this book.
