This series of books wasn't terrific but it was a good read. There were certain aspects of it that reminded me of a lot of other stories, millionaire meets average girl.The ending was a bit rushed but was happy to see that one character (Lucas)had a happy ending.

I absolutely loved the first part of this series, and I hoped the sequel would appeal to me even more. I was not disappointed! I read this book in one sitting, wouldn't go to sleep until I had finished it!
The cliffhanger at the end of the first book, Rose of Thorne, left me desperate for more. Everything Skylar had gone through made her a stronger person, but she was shattered once again when she discovered the long held secret kept from her by Sebastian.
In this book she meets up with Lucas again. He wants to be able to help her get through things, move on, and forget Sebastian. But Skylar is so deeply in love with Sebastian it is going to take a lot more than any of them realised.
The story has its fair share of twists and turns, as once again Skylar finds her life becoming more complicated. Again it is told from seperate POV's, allowing the reader an insight into the different feelings of the main characters.
Yet again the author manages to throw a spanner in the works leaving us with an even bigger cliffhanger by the end! In fact it's more of a double cliffhanger to be honest!
After thinking I knew which way Skylar would go, everything was thrown up in the air more than once. I'm so glad I only have to wait until February, hopefully, for the third part of this story!

OMG holy hotness and sweetness... I was literally left with my very first book hangover with this book. I no Mia Michelle said she softened the blow of the cliffhanger ending, but I was left speechless, which is a rarity for me. Seriously, ask anyone. I'm still a little mad to be honest. I want Book #3 NOW! STAT, ASAP.
Let me start by saying if you haven't read Rose of Thorne yet, you MUST read it first. It totally leads up to this book, and with book 2 now out, you can read straight through. Bad news is, you now have to wait for book 3. Sigh. WHY MIA, WHY?? Anywho...
So, this book. We get to know Lucas more in this book, we see his side of things, how he's no longer the playboy, and his truly heartfelt feelings for Skylar. My heart breaks for him, because he is so in love with her, and even though she tries to give him what he wants, her heart still belongs to Sebastian. Yes, I love Lucas, and I want him to be happy, but in all honesty, what he feels for Skylar, and their attraction, does not hold a candle to her and Sebastian and their love.
I was so mad at her for what she put Sebastian through. I know she's trying to do what she thinks is best, and as a woman, I also know that usually backfires in a bad way. And it did. This is such a moving and heartfelt story, a wonderful continuation of book 1. I simply could not put it down. I literally started it in the morning, and finished it that night, even with working 8+ hours :D. Mia Michelle is a total rockstar with this story, because it just rocks.
Despite being mad at a few of the characters and their actions, it was so realistic and drama filled that I got sucked in. I cannot say enough good things about this book. I cannot wait till February to see what happens for this Rose and it's Thorne. With beauty there is pain, and I hope they can work through things and find each other again.

I was given an ARC for an honest review.
5 big Stars!!! All I can say is WOW!!!I loved Rose of Thorne and was waiting with baited breath for the second one and Mia does not disappoint. Once you start reading it is really hard to stop. She takes you on roller coaster ride of emotions with Lucas, Skylar and Sebastian. You should have Kleenex nearby. I laughed, yelled, cried and yelled some more. I am team Sebastian big time. There is just something about his tortured soul that gets to me. What I loved the most about this book is that it is not predictable and it keeps you guessing. Very intense and I like that.
If you have not read this series I strongly recommend you do so. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. Congrats Mia on another awesome story.

Where do I even start!! You dnt knw hw mch i loooooove this story! I finshed both books in one day! Geeesh im torn between this two handsome, equally lovely man.. I love them both but i knw skylar will only be happy with sebastian so come on lets give them their happy ending.. But lets not forget lucas too... Im soooo dying to read book 3 and see how the story will unfold so,,, Book 3 pleaaaaseeee!!! Thank you smuch for the wonderful story... U made my day soooo good!

No no no no noooo!!! The words going through my mind as I finished reading this book! The wait seemed endless and Thorneless did not disappoint.
We are reunited with Skylar as she deals with her heartbreak. She is completely an utterly broken because of the secret Sebastian kept from her the problem is that no matter how much she feels she hates him for what he has done she can't help but love him and who can honestly blame her? How can anyone not love Sebastian Thorne? Well there's one person who finds it very easy to not love him and that is Lucas Drake.
Lucas very conveniently comes back into the picture while Skylar is broken hearted and plays the true friend card in order to sweep Skylar away around the world under the role of his new assistant. For months he and Skylar travel the world all the while Lucas uses his charm to get closer to Skylar.
While Skylar is off with Lucas getting closer and closer to him our poor Sebastian is completely broken. He spends as much time away from home as possible and isolates himself with the exception of his business dealings. His heart just doesn't know how to go on without Skylar.
No matter how close Skylar gets to Lucas or how broken Sebastian is their love remains in tact. The intensity of said love and their passion for one another has not diminished in the slightest and as always their draw to each other is inescapable.
After a few unforeseen events Skylar does the unthinkable and completely shatters what is left of Sebastian's heart leading to an event that had me in TEARS!! The heartbreak, confusion, empathy, anger, and quite honestly terror I felt while reading this book is amazing.
These characters just completely take over and your heart is on the line just as much as Sebastian and Skylar's. As with most awesome books we are left with a horrible cliff hanger!! Mia Michelle did soften the blow a bit but not nearly enough to stop my heart from aching. Thorneless was spectacular and I can't wait for Rose In Bloom my heart needs so much more of Sebastian!

December 29, 2013Thorneless is an absolute MUST read! This book leaves you begging for more Sebastian and Lucas--I didn't want it to end. In the beginning I was a big Lucas fan, but Sebastian sucked me in to his character and I was so torn between who I wanted Skylar to be with. Both men are trying so hard to give Skylar everything and she keeps getting her heart pulled in so many directions.
Mia Michelle has given another outstanding story. I can't wait to read how their story ends.

I love this book, what happens is totally expected, from start to finish I could not put it down. At times I got frustrated with skylark as she was yoyoing back and forward to much between men, I love the twists and turns through out. I suggest to an,home who's not read these books to give them a go. Well written, great story line, fantastic characters. I give it 4.5 stars because I hate cliff hangers! Fortunately it's not long until book 3 is released.

Soooo disappointed that we have to wait yet again for a resolution to Skylar and Sebastian's story. I am going on strike against trilogies…lol. I find myself losing interest in the time between releases and that is a shame because I really don't want to lose interest in this story :(

A brilliant follow up to the first book, I really liked it. I loved the way the story continued. The only downside would be the cliff hanger at the end! I can't wait for the last book. A good all round book ;D

Sebastian or Lucas??
I am so glad that I read Rose of Thorne and Thorneless back to back as I am sure I would have self combusted waiting for the next book. But now I am in that position of waiting for the third book and it's a real threat that I will. The story continues with the tragic love story between Rose, Sebastian and Lucas. The chemistry between Sebastian and Rose is breathtaking and heart stopping. I also felt Lucas's agony with all my heart and soul. Rose is in love with both men, and I cannot imagine how that would feel. Mia does an amazing job of letting her readers feel the passion, angst, sorrow and love that her characters are experiencing.
Rose is devastated to learn that Sebastian has been harboring a mind blowing secret that she feels is unforgiveable. She falls into the arms of Lucas who with his undying love for her, is a safe port in a storm and always will be there for her. He wants to help her piece her life back together and to bring her back to him.
Will Rose forgive Sebastian or stay with Lucas? I am holding my breath to see what Rose decides. Mia leaves us with an explosive cliffhanger, and I am on pins and needles to find out what happens next.

To be honest I don't even have words for this book. The emotional rollercoaster you go through while reading it is unlike anything I have gone through while reading a book. I felt like I was living this book in reality. From every word of Mia Michelle's description of Skylar's heartbreak, I felt my own heart breaking. I wanted to hate Sebastian right there with Skylar but I couldn't just like her. But in my own mind I liked Lucas but wanted him to stay away. I want that perfect happy ending for Skylar and Sebastian. But now with that cliffhanger, my heart shattered and I'm still recovering. This was an amazing book that I could not put down and I can't wait to read the next one!!!

OH MY!!!....just.....
Mia has left me completely dumbstruck with the latest instalment of the Thorne Trilogy. I mean, really dumbstruck. The ending of Thorneless...GAH!!!!! I had to go straight in to starting the third book as I COULD NOT leave it like that. I’m still reeling after that ending.
I have to start by saying though, if you haven’t read Rose of Thorne, do so now. This is a continuation of the first book and picks up right where Rose of Thorne left us.
After discovering a huge secret Sebastian had been keeping from her, Skylar flees her and Sebastian’s apartment in nothing but her pyjamas and barefooted.
She is left completely broken by the one person she didn’t think would hurt her.
“Yesterday my life had been perfect, but today it’s shattered. I’m stripped to the very core of my being. My dying soul lay haemorrhaging before me. He’s ruined me at every cost from ever loving again.”
That is until Lucas Drake re-enters her life and vows to put back the pieces of Skylars heart back together, and forget all about Sebastian.
“Yes, right now my gorgeous girl is lost, but I’ll help her find herself. She’ll learn to laugh and love again. I just pray that when she finally does, it’s me that she loves in the end.”
Lucas is a loving and caring man and I really felt for him in this book. He goes out of his way to help bring Skylar back to the ‘living’ and he succeeds. He truly loves her and it shows in everything he does.
Skylar tries to give Lucas what he wants; she tries to love him back, but the truth is her heart and soul still belong to Sebastian.
“I want to love him. I want to be happy. Somehow, I just don’t think I’ll ever be able to let go of the man who still owns my heart.”
And if you think Sebastian is out of the picture, it’s not going to happen.
“There is no way I am letting the love of my life go. I’ve kept away for far too long. Whether she is willing to right now or not, I’ll fight for us. What Skylar and I have is beyond epic. Our love isn’t like anything you see every day. People live their entire lifetimes without ever witnessing this. Mia takes you on one hell of a rollercoaster ride with Thorneless. I yelled, and cried and literally wanted to throw my kindle across the room. The twists and turns; you don’t see coming, at all. I loved that it was again told in separate POV’s, as it gives you a better understand and insight into the minds of the main characters and what they’re feeling.
Sebastian has my heart. Don’t get me wrong, I like Lucas and think he’s very sweet but I will always be Team Sebastian. Skylar and him belong with each other.....I just hope they can work things out and find each other once again.
I cannot say enough about this book. I truly, truly loved it and couldn’t put it down until I finished it.

OH MY!!!....just.....
Mia has left me completely dumbstruck with the latest instalment of the Thorne Trilogy. I mean, really dumbstruck. The ending of Thorneless...GAH!!!!! I had to go straight in to starting the third book as I COULD NOT leave it like that. I’m still reeling after that ending.
I have to start by saying though, if you haven’t read Rose of Thorne, do so now. This is a continuation of the first book and picks up right where Rose of Thorne left us.
After discovering a huge secret Sebastian had been keeping from her, Skylar flees her and Sebastian’s apartment in nothing but her pyjamas and barefooted.
She is left completely broken by the one person she didn’t think would hurt her.
“Yesterday my life had been perfect, but today it’s shattered. I’m stripped to the very core of my being. My dying soul lay haemorrhaging before me. He’s ruined me at every cost from ever loving again.”
That is until Lucas Drake re-enters her life and vows to put back the pieces of Skylars heart back together, and forget all about Sebastian.
“Yes, right now my gorgeous girl is lost, but I’ll help her find herself. She’ll learn to laugh and love again. I just pray that when she finally does, it’s me that she loves in the end.”
Lucas is a loving and caring man and I really felt for him in this book. He goes out of his way to help bring Skylar back to the ‘living’ and he succeeds. He truly loves her and it shows in everything he does.
Skylar tries to give Lucas what he wants; she tries to love him back, but the truth is her heart and soul still belong to Sebastian.
“I want to love him. I want to be happy. Somehow, I just don’t think I’ll ever be able to let go of the man who still owns my heart.”
And if you think Sebastian is out of the picture, it’s not going to happen.
“There is no way I am letting the love of my life go. I’ve kept away for far too long. Whether she is willing to right now or not, I’ll fight for us. What Skylar and I have is beyond epic. Our love isn’t like anything you see every day. People live their entire lifetimes without ever witnessing this. We are meant to be together and I’ll be damned if I allow Lucas Drake to have what is mine. She is and always will be just that—mine.”
Mia takes you on one hell of a rollercoaster ride with Thorneless. I yelled, and cried and literally wanted to throw my kindle across the room. The twists and turns; you don’t see coming, at all. At the end of Rose of Thorne, all our worst fears were realized. Just as Skylar and Sebastian were about to have their happily ever after, Skylar finds out how he was the one responsible for her parents death. In shock, she leaves with nothing but the clothes on her back, and starts to descend into madness.
Enter Lucas Drake. Sweet, sexy, and totally devoted to Skylar Lucas Drake. He cleans her up, gives her a job, and takes care of her in every way he can. She starts to heal, but still is in love with the man who caused irreversible damage to her heart and soul.
Sebastian is completely lost without Skylar. He's haunted by the constant disappointment he caused his father, and believes he's unworthy of anything good in his life. He hasn't given up on Skylar, and neither has Lucas. Skylar knows what the right thing to do is, but still does the wrong thing, over and over again, hurting a man who has done everything for her, and confusing herself more and more. I was very frustrated with her during much of this book. Either what Sebastian did was a deal breaker, or it wasn't. Forgive him and work it out with him or move on without him. The Skylar I liked in the first book wouldn't be this self destructive after all she's been through.
Since book #1, I've always been Team Lucas. Lucas is kind and caring (although sometimes a little delusionally so in this book) and can give Skylar nothing but happiness. There are no skeletons in his closet or demons he's struggling with, he knows what he wants, and without a doubt it's Skylar. He's so many wonderful things, and would give Skylar a beautifully happy life. But to Skylar, he's just not Sebastian. She's honest with him, but the mixed signals she gives to Lucas are just plain cruel at times.
Like Rose of Thorne, I devoured this book in pretty much one sitting. Having POV's from all sides greatly adds to the angst of the story. Being inside Lucas's head broke my heart, while reading from Skylar's POV made me want to shake the hell out of her at times. Mia Michelle takes us on a very wild ride in Thorneless, and it ends with an event that turns the entire story upside down. We have to wait until February (grrr) before we find out if its too late for Skylar to finally make her choice.
