Oh Man...
Travis Luedke had me so swept away with all the blood, sex, and violence... I wasn't expecting to get sucker-punched in the FEELS...

(Spoilers only if you haven't read the first book...
And there's no excuse not to read it, it's FREE!)
Forever marked, hooked, an addict, a bloodslave. He'd done it to her on purpose, to bind her permanently. He'd broken Michelle's primary rule.
The Nightlife: Las Vegas picks up three weeks after the disastrous fallout of New York City in the last book.

Aaron and Michelle are determined to keep a low profile in this new home and try to put the past behind them...

But this is the City of Sin...
"...I just love Las Vegas, the nightlife is so active. Never a dull moment,"
What better hunting grounds for a pair of Vampires than Las Vegas?

This book takes advantage of all the debauchery available in a town where excess is king. We're talking high-stakes gambling, designer shopping sprees, strippers, jello wrestling, and copious amounts of narcotics...

What could go wrong?!?!
Spoiler alert: EVERYTHING can go wrong...

Michelle
...she was the type to ruin a man, steal his heart, his money, his balls, and everything else that wasn't nailed down.
Michelle's uncomplicated solitary life was drastically altered when she turned Aaron Pilan into a Vampire. He's completely devoted to her, but no longer dependent on her. Aaron proved his strength and worth by saving Michelle's life several times over during their stay in New York.

It was her idea to pick up and move to Las Vegas - where humans (or cattle as she likes to refer to them) are easy, plentiful, inebriated targets. She can continue her highly lucrative escort business and lay low while the NYPD investigates the gruesome murder of two crooked detectives.

Side Note: I'm both attracted to, and terrified of Michelle.
She is a total bombshell badass.
She puts the 'fatal' in Femme Fatale
Yikes!

Aaron Pilan
He couldn't dictate her comings and goings. Subject to her compulsory commands, Michelle ran the show. But that didn't stop him from worrying, from checking on her constantly.
Aaron is already attracting unwanted attention form the locals - An empath playing poker? Lucrative, but a terrible idea - Aaron has been cleaning up at the Hold'em tables, but he's also been cleaning out a violent member of a local drug cartel who holds grudges, and who happens to be in business with the head of security at the hotel...

Aaron seems to be completely oblivious to the enemies he's been making. His focus has been on controlling his inner predator, and doting on his new pet...

Anastasia Lucilla Makarova
She was so very tired of being beat up by the world, by men, by life in general. She'd gladly take all the protection he offered
You know you've had a hard life when becoming a blood-slave seems like salvation...

Ana has been on her own in Vegas since she was a teenager. The only thing she ever got from her runaway Gypsy father was her pseudo-psychic intuition. She's descended from a line of Gypsy fortune-tellers and has a pretty good sense of people's general feelings. Not that the highly-tuned warning bells have served her well - she always seems to be attracted to the guys who want to turn her into the victim.

Aaron meets Ana and discovers her extraordinary talent and tragic past all wrapped up in a gorgeous package - He doesn't take the time to think - he makes her HIS.

Ana pledges her loyalty to Aaron and Michelle. She can't remember the last time she felt as loved or cherished as she does with this pair of Vampires.

Life for a Bloodslave is fragile at best...
She's literally addicted to the Vampire's venomous bite.
She must constantly strive to stay healthy and hydrated.

Life expectancy for a Bloodslave is dismal, and that's before you factor in violent drug cartels, perverted hotel managers, psychotic ex-boyfriends, and all the other dangers lurking on the Vegas strip...

She had never experienced any sensation or drug this intense in all her unusual sexual escapades. An excruciating mix of pain, ecstasy, euphoria. A non-stop explosion of joy.
I fall a little bit more in love with this series with each book...

It was even hotter and crazier than The Nightlife: New York and I soaked up every moment! There's so much action-packed, blood-soaked hottness, it's impossible not to stay entertained!

These books have a beautifully twisted cinematic quality to them - the descriptions are vibrant and suck you in (no pun intended) - plus, Travis Luedke has a habit of seeding his books with secondary story-lines which all come to a head at the best possible moment. I fucking LOVE that... Very Guy Ritchie...

I can't wait to find out what happens next!

I bought this book right after reading the first in Luedke's Nightlife series, Nightlife: New York. The story picks up as Aaron and Michelle have a left a big mess in New York, only to find themselves in a bigger mess in Las Vegas. The plotting is much stronger in NL:Las Vegas, as is Luedke's writing. I'm impressed. The story is more carnal and graphic than the last, and I think it's sure to please any fan of vamp fiction. Nightlife: Las Vegas is a no-holes-barred, easy-to-read romp that mixes fantasy, suspense, horror and erotica, and it does it well. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Drama, action and lots of pleasure, that’s what THE NIGHTLIFE: LAS VEGAS is all about!

THE NIGHTLIFE: LAS VEGAS picks up where the first book in the series, THE NIGHTLIFE: NEW YORK leaves off in a continuation of the story of Vampire Master, Michelle and her loyal, but disobedient side-kick and vampire servant, Aaron. Who ever said ‘all things in moderation’ didn’t know what they were talking about, but we’re talking about Vegas baby and for Michelle and Aaron’s sake, I really hope ‘what happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas’ or else the rest of their long lives are doomed!

Remembering how poorly she was treated by her Vampire Master, Michelle lets a lot of things slide with Aaron in an effort to not control him, but her hesitance to pull the choke chain lands them in a heap of trouble when a third lover named Anastasia is added to mix, as a human bloodslave. Once things begin to spiral out of control, their weak human pet just adds another hassle they do not need in their crazy effed-up lives. I wasn’t a fan of Anastasia’s story line. I thought she was weak and a bit whiney, but Michelle is a dominant female, so, I suppose having 2 kick-ass, strong-willed heroines wouldn’t have been as interesting and the damsel in distress is appealing to many.

This installment of THE NIGHTLIFE series has a totally different vibe when compared to books 1 and 3 – yes, I skipped around, but you will definitely want to read THE NIGHTLIFE: NEW YORK before reading this second book. Though I was disappointed with the path Michelle’s character followed, I still loved this dynamic-duo as a whole. Staying true to the author’s description, THE NIGHTLIFE: LAS VEGAS is reminiscent of “The Hangover” and “True Blood” and definitely never boring.

If paranormal reads of the vampire variety get you going, then you definitely have to read THE NIGHTLIFE series – I can guarantee you will not be bored!

Summary – 4.5 stars
The Nightlife: Las Vegas by Travis Luedke poses the age old question of what happens when vampires cut loose in Sin City. Mix “Fright Night”, “Showgirls”, and “Scarface”, and you have the answer. Aaron and Michelle explore every vice available, and break many of the rules by which they lived in New York. The result is an off the hook adventure worthy of its setting. If you thought their adventures in New York were wild, you ain't seen nothing yet. The Nightlife: Las Vegas sells for $4 for the ebook version, and is worth twice the price. Fasten your seat belts for even more sex, adventure, and blood.

Fantasy World
Las Vegas comes to life in all its neon glory from the gaming tables to VIP parties and strip clubs. It's not only believable, it's gloriously fun.

Tingle Factor
OMFG! Just when you think it can't get any hotter, the author finds whole new levels to explore. The Nightlife: Las Vegas includes menage, exhibition, and gang bang scenes. It's explicit without being vulgar.

Romance
Most of the tender feelings this time are reserved for their new pet, Anastasia. Her addition to their relationship is well done in a polyamorous, love can multiply way.

Drama
The Nightlife: Las Vegas introduces new villains who target the main characters with nefarious intentions. Their plots keep readers anxious while the vampires party on secure in their superiority.

Hero
Aaron has truly come into his own as a vampire, and is a full partner to Michelle now. When he meets Anastasia he can't help himself, and makes her his blood slave. He loves her in a wholly different way than Michelle, but still loves them both. Aaron remains likeable despite his feral tendencies, and doesn't stray into the creepy or caddish.

Heroine #1
Michelle is slightly less of a bitch this time, and makes a few more mistakes in judgment. The results are highly entertaining. Her hot tub escapades will leave your mouth hanging open in astonishment.

Heroine #2
Anastasia is a beautiful, hot mess with destructive tendencies. It seems perfectly logical she would fall under the spell of not one, but two vampires thus endangering her life. Anastasia has been broken through much previous abuse, and finally finds happiness in being the vampires' pet.

The Nightlife: Las Vegas is the second installment in Travis Luedke's Nightlife series, give us another twist of all the madness that can occur in the city where everything you want to happen may become true.

Aaron and his master seductress vampire, Michelle, leave behind their problems in New York and try their luck in Las Vegas.

Do you consider cheating to use mind reading to win at poker and other games in a casino? Aaron knows it’s not okey to do it, but as it’s his new natural and unique vampire talent, he does it anyway and he makes an influencing man lose a very significant quantity of money.

This man wants his money back, and he also wants Michelle as a means to make more money, not because she’s one of the most beautiful woman he ever saw, but out of a form of vengeance towards Aaron.

During a night Aaron meets Anastasia (Ana), a lovely and lonely girl that desires to be loved and cherished. He is instantly attracted to Ana, and breaks Michelle’s most strict rule of no bloodslaves. She enters in a train-wreck relationship, where she finds happiness with Aaron and Michelle as a bloodslave, a 'pet'.

Vampires as a norm are dangerous, can you imagine what can happen to a vamp on drugs? You may think you can imagine it, but you’ll never get as close as how it’s described in this book. The only thing you can pray is that hopefully ‘What happens in Las Vegas, Stays in Las Vegas’ because if in New York we had crazy marathons of never ending sex between Michelle and Aaron, now you can sum to the mix Ana, a bunch of mafia guys, a new meaning to drink blood or alcohol and eat drugs and someone hidden seeing it all happen.

It has everything you would hope for: danger, monsters, believable characters, mystery, action, gore, fights, romance and erotic scenes, real vampires, jokes and a whole lot more surprises.

The Nightlife series continues from the Strip to the city of Love and Lights with The Nightlife: Paris

This is the second book in the erotic, vampire Nightlife series.

Michelle and Aaron are vampires in Las Vegas. They had previously been in NYC, but a botched kidnapping/ransom attempt two dirty cops made on Michelle left both cops dead and our two vamps on the road for quieter nightlife.

Aaron's been winning a ton of money playing poker--his telepathy has earned him High Roller status, and a serious enemy--gangster Demarco. This dude doesn't like to lose, and he REALLY wants to get a piece of Michelle--steal her away from Aaron by any means necessary. He enlists security chief Kramer in his quest to kidnap and enslave Michelle.

Aaron and Michelle are oblivious to the gangster's plan. They work the nightlife, taking small bites of multiple victims a night so that they don't get anyone addicted to their venom. Until Aaron meets Anastasia.

This lost soul just wants to be loved. And, Aaron wants to love her. He is still only a month out from his transition and can't get past his need for companionship. He takes Ana as a bloodslave, against Michelle's wishes and orders.

Surprisingly, Aaron, Michelle and Ana make a secure threesome. In fact, Ana's quite the helper lining up victims for Aaron and Michelle's nightly feeds. Then, Kramer and Demarco attack.

Their attempt to kill Aaron isn't as successful as they'd like. Nor is their effort to enslave Michelle by addicting her to heroin. Yeah. Way more trouble than they expected.

Let's just say that when Aaron and Michelle leave Las Vegas, it's with broken hearts, and a bloody trail of dead gangsters. Oh, and a shadow. Yep. It seems Kramer had hired a PI to find out what happened to Demarco. Mike Jamison is hot on their trail with his own agenda.

It's a steamy sexy adventure. Not a lot goes well in Sin City--even the sex is sometimes more a punishment than a pleasure. Expect plenty of full-frontal and menage. F/M/F and F/F/M.

With the problems in New York. Aaron and Michelle decide to move along to Las Vegas. Aaron is making a killing in the casino with his telepathy and Michelle is still working as a high paid escort. They are living the good life, up until Aaron breaks one of Michelle's only rules. He makes someone a blood slave. Anastasia has got gypsy blood and has a little bit of psychic abilities. This calls out to Aaron and he immediately knows he wants this women in his life forever. She has a past and seeks out mean who hurt her. What she finds in Aaron is a predator that will hurt her, but also take care of her. Aaron drinks from her for more than two minutes and makes her his blood slave. I thought that Michelle would have been upset with Aaron but she mainly just felt sorry for him. Blood slaves never last very long and she did not Aaron to feel that pain. Now that it is done though, she welcomes Anastasia into their lives as a favorite "pet." That is what they call her, their pet.

The sex is pretty well written though it is very aggressive. Anastasia like the pain and is ashamed at liking it. She was abused by her step father earlier in life and now she is pretty much a hot mess alcoholic. We get to see what she goes through with her addiction to Aaron's venom. This is one of the few stories were both the male and female leads are having sex with other people and it wasn't an issue. They both knew that it was only sex with humans and it could not compare to sex with each other. I think one of the sexiest scenes was when Michelle was high and joined the jello wrestling tournament completely naked and had sex with the male wrestler on during the fight while biting him. Nobody could believe what they were seeing.

There is a strong undertone of abuse and addiction in this book, but it seemed to fit into this world pretty well.

I am writing this review a little bit backwards…when I finished reading this book, I sent a message to Travis Luedke and told him that I don’t do vampire books. I think his response was not only a gentle little pat on the back to himself, but a profound thought for me. He simply said he was happy he could pull me from my comfort zone… I thought about that for hours.
When I finished reading The Nightlife New York, I was sure that there was not going to be another book that could make glad I was reading about vampires. It was a stretch for me to actually want to read not only one, but three books about vampires. It was defiantly very out of my comfort zone. Through the entire first book I kept telling myself the same thing I told all of you through the review, I don’t do vampire books. After falling in love with The Nightlife New York, I really thought the books were going to be just ok after that, but I will always try to find something positive to say about a book. Reality hit me hard upside the head when I started reading The Nightlife Las Vegas. Not only was I willing to admit I liked these vampire books, I was almost willing to admit that I loved them.
When I started reading this, I wasn’t sure how a storyline in Las Vegas could compete with all of the activity of the New York book, but Travis Luedke, Michelle and Aaron did not let me down in the least. In fact, I fell in love all over again and had a very hard time putting the second book down. The events of this book had me from the start. You already knew the main characters after reading New York, so a lot of background on their story was not needed, and because of that the action picked up the pace of this book at the very beginning. You are introduced to Michelle and Travis’s pet, Anastasia in this book. I have to say, I thought it was a little too perfect that she was so ready to be a part of their strange world of the night, but she was fabulous and it actually broke my heart in the end reading their sad goodbyes to their sweet pet. But I am not about to ruin the story for anyone.
This book captured me into a wild ride like only Las Vegas could do. Michelle and Aaron must have a bad habit of letting drama find them because there was that times 10 in this book. The action was amazing and couldn’t have been written any better for these characters.
Now I am going to admit, reading the erotic scenes in this book was like going back to a few other books I have read, but so much hotter. They weren’t creepy as I would have thought they would have been, but beautiful. The connection with these characters is just amazing not to mention the sex…holy hot tamale! I am in love.
Travis Luedke did start to lose me a bit when the vampires starting taking drugs… I thought they were hot enough without adding that to the mix, but what happens in Vegas… I hope stays there. It wasn’t enough to make me want to put the book down; it just became a much clearer picture of how dangerous these vampires really are…
I wasn’t sure if it was possible for me to like a vampire book more than New York, well Travis Luedke knocked himself off the top spot in my world, when New York was replaced by Vegas. So back to what I was saying about being out of my comfort zone… it’s true. I was so uncomfortable even opening these books, but I am glad I took the chance and read these vampire books that I am was so adamant reading. They say never judge a book by its cover, well; I think for me, it is never judge a book by its characters. They were part of the story but they did not run the story. There is a line that was drawn for me between it being “just a vampire book” and being a book I wanted to read. I really enjoyed The Nightlife Las Vegas and have a new appreciation for being pulled out of character and out of my comfort zone.

I haven't read the third book in this series; The Nightlife: Paris, but it is on my TBR list in the very near future. I liked this book much more then the first one (New York). I felt that the characters were more defined, the storyline was more compelling, and it had a stronger plot. At first I was unsure of what the plot actually was. Was it Ana's unconditional love for them? Was it the controversy with Demarco, Oso, and the rest of the gang? But when I continued reading I started to understand a little bit better.

Books like these make me SO PROUD of indie authors. Luedke's series isn't on the "topsellers" list yet I find it to be much more enjoyable then some that I have read which have made it on the famous list. With that said, it shows that you really can't judge a book by it's rating/popularity/cover/etc.

Of course, the erotica/romance in this book was ADDICTING! Boy oh boy does Luedke do an amazing job with it, too! What kind of a sex life does this man have? (Just kidding)... but oh em gee! I really liked how he tied Ana into the story. Michelle made it New York (the first book) what the risks are of having a blood slave. I thought there would be more issues with Ana and Michelle, given Aaron made the decision on his own (without her knowledge or permission) to make Ana his bloodslave. I figured there would be a great deal of jealousy and some arguments/fights over Aaron- but that wasn't the case here, maybe it would've made the book more interesting. BUT to say the least, I couldn't pry my face away from my tablet.

I was bothered thinking about what in the hell they were going to do with Ana... forever. She's obviously going to get in the way and be a burden at some point. Where they going to change her into a vampire? Were they going to let them stay with her forever as their third wheel? Were they going to cut her loose? I found myself bothered by it! However, at the end of the book my question was answered. It was quite romantic how much love and passion Aaron had for Ana, and the way that Michelle was so accepting of her- clearly loving her, too.

I've read negative reviews about the heroin epidemic that Luedke tied into this story. Honestly, I'm glad he did. Although this is clearly a paranormal romance book and not non-fictional, it still goes without saying - heroin is an epidemic in this world! Day by day the problem gets worse and worse. Luedke shows that even vampires with their special powers, ungodly strength, ability to make others lust and crave them, etc- DO NOT have control over such a terrible, potent, addicting, deathly drug. For people to judge based on him putting drugs into his story is totally irrational. Michelle did not voluntarily shoot the heroin herself, the first time (neither did Aaron). It goes to show that it only takes ONCE and you are hooked! Before getting injected, she probably would've never been interested in doing anything of the sort... and she ends up hooked and going back for more. It always shows how heroin affects a person. Granted, Michelle in a vampire with unhuman strengths/powers, but she LOVED the heroin. It made her lusty, crazy, forgiving, insane, erotic, sad, forgetful, etc, etc, etc.

Overall I was very pleased with this story in the series. I really hope Paris is as good. I thought this book was well written, well thought out, enticing, HOT, and possibly even 5 star worthy (hadn't things gone just a tad bit differently). Luedke has a natural talent and does very well with his writing. I can tell he takes it very seriously. I would recommend this series to anyone how is interested in paranormal romance/erotica. You won't regret it. I got mine on amazon.com for 6.99$ for the whole omnibus.

My rating is 4.5 of 5 stars

Aaron and Michelle leave behind the drama that surrounded them in New York to lay low in Las Vegas. From the outset, it’s easy to see how this might not work out so well for them. They run afoul of drug dealing thugs and break their one rule of not creating blood slaves.

First Aaron generates a little too much interest and negative attention by using his talents to cheat players at poker. This puts him on the radar of a drug dealer and his security contacts in the casinos. With a grudge to settle and a desire to possess Michelle, these men plot to get rid of Aaron and turn Michelle into a prostitute by hooking her on heroin.

Before they work on putting their plan in motion, Michelle and Aaron unaware that they are being surveiled closely, feed their hedonistic desires with partying as only Las Vegas offers. Aaron finds his interest piqued by a beautiful girl named Ana with a touch of telepathy and suddenly he can’t live without her and proceeds to turn her into his blood slave.

As the criminal plot unfolds around the trio, their lives spiral into a dark chaos of drug abuse, bloody violence and death.

The criminal involvement promised some interesting plot lines, but ultimately fell into the confusion of the drug fueled chaos and produced some creatively violent deaths and a new character that looks to continue into the next installment of Nightlife.

The blood slave, Ana, initially looked like she would be a unique and interesting character, after all her gypsy heritage and telepathic abilities were what drew Aaron to her in the first place. But, that talent did not develop into anything other than a convenient way to communicate with her master, Aaron. Her addition to Aaron and Michelle’s passionate love life was sexy and promising but that didn’t last when Ana ended up showing herself to be a severely emotionally damaged alcoholic. She was self-loathing and needy and it was a little difficult to see how and why she graduated from “pet” to precious loved one.

The story is an interesting chapter for Aaron and Michelle, but I feel like our favorite vampires have lost a little of their innocence and likability. The drug fueled debauchery and hedonism was not an attractive side of them. I hope they will redeem themselves a little in the next adventure. I look forward to The Nightlife: Paris.

Oh Travis...what have you done? I know what you did...you wrote a fantastic series of books about vampires, sex, drugs, and the like. Who doesn't want sex, drugs, prostitutes, dirty cops, and oh yes, sexy vampires in their books? You are NUTS if you answered NO to that question!! It wasn't rhetorical!!

I am writing this review on the series as a whole vs book by book.

This series is about, yes, everything I mentioned above but so much more. These books were seriously written as if written by a woman! And I really do mean that nicely..did you have a woman sitting next to you when you were writing Travis? LOL

The characters that Travis created for this series are historical! There is so much going on all the time! He is not lying when he says it's never boring! Between the corrupt cops and the prostitution and the start of the life for Michelle and Aaron in the beginning of the series, there is never a dull moment. There is something very unique about the way Travis ties everything together without there being SO much going on that you lose what is happening.

As the story continues on to Las Vegas, you begin to see more about the characters. Travis uses the next book for character development; not only how they relate to each other but how they relate to the people around them. Travis adds in some very interesting differences between what we consider "normal undead" vampires and his "living" vampires. I didn't want to put it down and couldn't wait for the next one.

As we move to book 3, we learn more about Michelle and what her back story is. And let me tell you, grab a tissue. Let me warn you, this book is very dark. So not only does it show that Travis has done a phenomenal job of writing Adult Urban Fantasy up to this point, but he almost if not just a wee bit, steps into Horror and I LOVED it!!!

The last book is more of a stand alone book and even though it was written very well and had a very gripping story, I kind of was lost in it as I had already fallen in love with the characters up to this point and this was something totally different. It is very fast-paced and keeps you interested.

All in all, Travis, your books are exceptional. You haven't read Adult Urban Fantasy if you haven't read these books. They are gripping, emotional, steamy, adventurous and fast-paced. They will keep you on the edge of your seat.

5 out of 5 stars!!!

While reading book 1 of the Nightlife Series I couldn't help but to crave more action and violence. Two of the main things I look for when reading any true vampire novel or novella. I was more than pleased with the depravity, blood violence and love mixed into to this addition to the series. First and foremost this book is definitely not for the faint of heart or anyone looking for just another Paranormal Romance in which is just basically nothing more than a Contemporary Romance with a few fangs mixed in. There is plenty of violence and definitely more than a little bit of gore.

In the first book to this series Michelle was more than dead set against the making of a bloodslave, whether accidental or on purpose. So much so that she was more than willing to destroy her lover and slave, Aaron, had he ever attempted to make another. Yet in walks Anatasia, a human with gypsie blood running through her veins, and just a touch of psychic ability. That touch being just enough to not only draw Aaron to her, but to also give him no other choice than to make her his, a bloodslave. While her initial reaction may have been to punish him, Michelle also feels the inexorable pull as he. As Ana is quickly pulled into their sordid fold and truly unpredictable love affair, enemies lurk within their grasp. Some wanting to kill them, others wanting to be them, other wanting no more than to screw them, but to the point of utter madness and willingness to kill.

They say whatever happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but that may not be the case with this dynamic vampire duo. As Michelle is the one once again who believes that mere humans will never be a credible threat to them, she is once again proven wrong. This time having more than a few everlasting effects. Not only may she be forced to succumb to an even more dangerous addiction that that of bloodlust, but one in which is dangerous to humans, and even more drastically dangerous for a vampire developing in very dangerous, and more than a little deadly, consequences. But, she will have more than a little fun along the way. And poor Aaron will have to learn his lessons as most do, the heart breakingly way.

I'd call this a 3.5.

I really loved The Nightlife: New York and anticipating liking this one just as much. Such was not the case, however. Luedke's writing is just as crisp and wonderful here as it was in the first, but a lot of what I really appreciated about the first book didn't carry over into this one. Most notable was Aaron's innocence. This was one of my favourite aspects of The Nightlife: New York. It seemed to have been replaced in The Nightlife: Las Vegas by The Predator. While I liked The Predator's protective nature and general badassness it was no substitute for the nice-guy feel that was lost.

Similarly, there was a lot of sex in this book. There was plenty in the first one too and I have no problem with sex (and Luedke can write one hot scene), but here it started to crowd out the plot a little bit. A good 30% of the book passed between meeting the antagonist the first time and him taking any action toward Aaron and Michelle. There was very little in the intermediate 30% but sex of every imaginable sort. Plus it all felt a little one sided. Michelle, Aaron, and Ana are all about reckless abandon, but apparently only with girls. Never once is another man brought into the mix. There are countless women and just Aaron's 'sole penis,' four on one at one point. It didn't feel very natural. As one should probably expect of Las Vegas it all takes a bit of a turn toward the depraved too. No longer are the pages full of Aaron's appreciation of Michelle's beauty and sexuality, instead they are littered with what every power-hungery, scumbag would like to do to 'that piece of ass,' 'whore,' 'tramp,' 'slut,' etc. I didn't find this to be an improvement. It felt like something indefinable had been corrupted.

The ending was fairly predictable, but the addition of the new character Michael intrigued me. I'd be interested in knowing where that plot line goes.

Rachel's Review: 4*

THE NIGHTLIFE: LAS VEGAS picks up where the first book finished.

This book was much faster paced, darker with more violence, sex, some jello fighting and lots of OMG moments I found it difficult to put down!

Aaron and Michelle gamble away in Las Vegas, until they win from the wrong guy which leads them into trouble. Aaron also meets a woman, Ana, who he makes his bloodslave/ pet.

At first I didn’t see the need for Ana as I missed Aarons softer side towards Michelle, but as the story unfolded Ana did grow on me but at times she did grate on me by being so winey and needy.

Aaron was the predator within much more in this book, and looking forward too see how he develops in the next book (Paris)

Really do not want to give to much way! Despite the gripping plot, the constant drug induced sex scenes started to wear thin on me . It is a good book don’t get me wrong, I would recommend this book to any one who likes a bit of fast paced vampire action with lots of sex, drugs cartels, gambling, threesomes, its got it all.

Straight on the blood slave !

Nicola's Review: 4*

As the title suggest’s Aaron and Michelle have fled to the bright lights of Las Vegas. A very fitting place for 2 vampires, i mean who is up during the day in Vegas?!

This book seemed to be more action packed than the last book (which i liked) and it saw Aaron take to his vampire role very well. Aaron also brings us a new character, Ana. Now i didn’t see the need for her but as i go into the book im glad she came into it as it shows these two can care for someone who isn’t of their kind. It also brought the kind and caring side out of Aaron that i had begun to miss.

This book didn’t disappoint and i was gutted when it ended, If The Nightlife: Paris is like these other 2 books then the author, Travis, is onto a winner!

I love the Nightlife! This was a thrilling ride with much more action than the previous book. Being set in Las Vegas gave it a more decadent feel and allowed a chance for Aaron and Michelle to interact with a variety of characters both dark and light(ish) because no one here was really good. I was so pulled into the story that I read it over the course of a day and a half, which speaks volumes about how enjoyable it was, and it only took that long because I had to sleep. The characters are very real and speak and act as you would expect them too.

Aaron and Michelle have gone to Las Vegas from New York to place some distance between themselves and the chaos they left behind after Aaron became a vampire. But being the people they are trouble is never far behind no matter how much they try to be good or as good as sexy vampires with a thirst can be. They are supposed to be laying low but Aaron cannot help but enjoy himself on the casino floor, the problem is that he has to much luck and attracts the attention of a man who does not appreciate losing. They find themselves once again in a situation that they had no hand in creating but you can be sure that they will be the ones to end it.

Aaron has grown in a short time and is in control of his power and his relationship with Michelle has changed greatly since their first days together. Michelle seems calmer and has accepted her feelings for Aaron and is less manic. They bring another into their lives and even though Michelle does not approve she lets her in.

There is so much to like here and so much to be sad about. The sex scenes are still blistering hot and could make an escort blush. But you also have tenderness, love, brutality, lust, greed, and vengeance. A wonderful addition to the nightlife series.

This is book two in the Night Life series, and a continuation of ‘Night Life New York’. and the journey of Aaron and Michelle. Even if you do not like reading about vampires, this book is different from any you have ever read. These vampires do not kill for blood, they stay connected to their human only for 60 seconds, just enough to feed, no longer. If they stayed longer, the human became their blood-slave. The human is left with an erotic feeling, or orgasm such as they have never experienced, from this bite. Aaron Pilan was human and turned into a vampire by Michelle, so he would not die after a gunshot wound. As a result Michelle was the master, Aaron, her blood slave. They were connected and inseparable. After leaving N.Y. they settle in Las Vegas, but soon find themselves in trouble because of all the money Aaron was winning. He was using telepathy, but the Colombian Cartel thought he was cheating and were out to get them. In this series, Aaron becomes more violent because he needs to protect not only Michelle, but Anastasia, who becomes his blood-slave and then his wife. This journey continues with the third book, ‘Night Life – Paris’. I can’t wait to see what happens to Aaron & Michelle in Paris. This series is written with adults in mind and since it is so well written, it will hold your interest from beginning to end. The author is so vivid in his writing that you can actually experience the emotions right along with the characters on this journey. I applaud the author for his imagination and writing technique, and I welcome the opportunity to read more from Travis Luedke.

Characters like these need alpha cities to backdrop their mayhem. The seedier the underbelly the better these characters grow. In the crime chic world of Las Vegas, Michelle and Aaron hit the highrollers and cause the most beautiful gore, with a rip it to shreds story of addiction. In the second book in Luedke's Nightlife series (The Nightlife: New York being a hard act to follow) we hang in the shadows with two of the most delicious creatures-of-the-night, ever to grace the pages of erotica. Michelle and Aaron have a new toy. A beautiful abused soul locked in bloodlust - a thrilling, oozing menage a trois that leaves all players with nasty hangovers.

Travis continues with a metaphor of addiction - most can emphathise with the morning after hell - and no one feels it more than venom needing Ana. How quickly we forget the drawn out pain of it all, once recognised ready to do it all again. Moderation people. This duo are hard to resist and we are told this often throughout the book. Author Travis Luedke could tighten the strap a little here and decrease some repetitive ideas and repeated turns of phrase, but that is only a small distraction on the page, because when writer Leudke is in the zone his imagery gets stuck right behind your retinas.

The psychic connections between Ana and the delectable master and servant dynamic duo I adore. The interspersed French and their irreverent repartee, oh so frenchy, so chic. So onto the next instalment The Nightlife: Paris. My coeur noir is ready for it.

I am not usually into characters where the heroine is the dominant in the relationship. I really enjoy my Alpha males. However, I thought I would give this series a shot, cause it sounded really intriguing.

Aaron is actually a really fun snarky guy to read, I preferred his POV most of the time. I was really rooting for him and Michelle to work their unconventional relationship out. I am a total sucker for HEA.

Each book takes you to a new local with this couple, their relationship progresses throughout the series and takes many twists and turns. Mr Luedke has created a full and colorful world! I love the attention to detail and continuity he shows through the series. So many wonderful supporting characters and dynamic plots. The pacing was beautiful, quick and active story line.

Yummy steamy action, your girlie parts will be screaming after a few scenes!! Oh boy, these supernaturals know how to do the hot and heavy!!

This is one of those series where you follow two characters through several books. That is not typically my favorite thing, I like getting new love stories and updates on past characters. Still this is a entertaining read that had me jumping for the next book.

Warning, these are not fru-fru happy stories. Vamp life is dark and dirty at times. You will encounter the seedy underbellies of the cities more often than not. Oh, you might also want to have a box of tissues hand for when it gets emotional.

While Vamps are not my favorites I really enjoyed this series and can't wait o check out more from this author!

An intense roller-coaster of emotion – love, addiction, and sex.

Michelle and Aaron are living it up in Las Vegas until Aaron complicates their lives with his attention-attracting success in the casinos. Not to mention falling madly for Anastasia, a young woman with psychic sensitivity who he instantly converts to a bloodslave.

Ana is a fascinating, complicated character who provides a unique view of the passionate relationship that exists between our two vampires. However, she soon falls victim to the events Aaron set in motion when he fleeced a drug dealer at poker. Plus, Michelle has attracted the lustful attention of a casino boss that results in an attempt to hook her on heroin. Drug addiction is a major theme in this story – both heroin and vampire venom, equally addictive, lethal, and dangerous.

Seeing these two vampires high on drugs was compelling reading and, at times, utterly terrifying. It proved impossible to put this book down as the story raced to its climatic and horrifying end. Nothing will be the same for this loving threesome again. Ana will steal her way into your heart.

Mr. Luedke is skilled at defining his characters. You will feel their raw emotion and their passion, you will cringe as they despatch their enemies with either finesse or abandon, and revel in their vengeful bloodletting. Powerful stuff. I highly recommend this erotic, sexually-charged and original paranormal story, second in the Nightlife Series.

I love reading about things I enjoy from the point of view of others. This author's point of view of suckheads is quite unique: in the world of Nightlife, vampires are extremely sexual creatures whose bites are of an orgasmic and addictive quality to humans. Las Vegas continues where New York left off, with the pairing of Aaron and Michelle now living in Sin City after slaying the two corrupt cops who had been bent on getting revenge on Michelle for physically humiliating them. Michelle is Aaron's mistress and forbids blood slaves, humans addicted to the vampire's bite if said bite is prolonged for too long. Wanna guess what happens here? I'm sure you already know.

Meet Anastasia, a girl having a good time a concert until she finds Aaron grinding and groping her. Ana has gypsy blood in her and abilities similar to the primary character of Blood Slave, Hope. She's a mind reader of sorts. Anyway, Aaron finds herself attracted to her and delivers his bite, but makes the mistake of feeding for too long. It's pretty interesting how Michelle disapproves of his violation of her rule, but eventually bends on the rule she imposed for him, deciding to partake in some fun with her man and his pet.

Throw in a casino manager addicted to Michelle's sexual prowess, a Colombian thug who got schooled in poker by Aaron, both men's willingness to get rid of Aaron, and we've got ourselves an erotic gangster vampire thriller that shocked even me on how it ended.

The intensity in this book greatly increased from the first book with every carnal and beastly action these vampires could do. As if rules did not apply to the characters in this book. The bad guys got it good, messing with predators that was high on more than just blood lust.
When the bad guys came in the pictures I truly was sorry for them. I was not disappointed.
When we met Aaron in book 1 he was the epitome of innocence, struggling with his own fears and pain trying to fit in a world that he was not comfortable in. Let down by a mother after his father's death he felt at a loss, orphaned even.
When he met Michelle his world changed forever and yet he kept the innocence. In book 2 five weeks later there was nothing left of the innocent young man. In its place was a predator that spelled trouble and power in the nightlife of Vegas.
Finding himself a slave who became his and Michelle's pet we are drawn into their unbridled, unrelentless way of life where every thing goes in the extreme. It is as if the author released a boost of heroin in the book to heighten their sexual hunger, blood lust, drunk stupor and drive for more. Silently I wondered how it will end because there is no way that this could go on for long.
And yes it did stop maybe not as Aaron and Michelle hoped, leaving them drunk with sorrow and they have learned that they are not untouchable as they thought.
A book I can recommend to all readers that loves the extreme.

My Rant: Travis strikes again at giving us an amazing story. In this book we pick up were we leave off with Michelle and Aaron. Now they are in vegas and that comes with new players in the game. But things have changed. Aaron, my predator has made some more changes and he is a force to be recon with. But in this book he makes decisions that leave you intrigued. Aaron takes it among himself to add to Michelle and his relationship and just when you think Michelle will rip his head off she embraces the change. This new found love is perfect for the both of the vampires but there is heartache in this new acquisition. There are new villains in the game and when they play they want to play for keeps and Aaron and Michelle are in another pickle that they need to get out of. Travis writing style is amazing and captivating. He continues to give us such an action packed story that my head is reeling at the prospect of the outcome. The romance scenes are taken up a notch and I am panting literally. I have come to fall completely in love with this story and the characters. Book two lived up to the hype of book one and I couldn't wait to indulge into book 3.

FTC Disclosure: I received this book for free from the author, editor, publisher, or Promo Host. This is my honest opinion about this book and I did not receive any monetary compensation for writing this review nor was I obligated to write a positive one.

this was a great book. i cannot wait to see what else is in store. i had no idea that there were more books in this series!

this story continues right where it left off. I wouldn't recommend reading it out of order. you will not be lost, but you will miss a lot of key elements.

Aaron and Michelle started their new life in vegas. they were enjoying all the nightlife had to offer. That was until Aaron started to win to much money at the casino. Michelle was doing her own thing, and getting men to pay for her time so she could bite them. that being said Aaron made the wrong man mad. this guy was part of a drug cartel. now, since he lost a lot of money to Aaron. this cartel member new that Aaron was cheating but couldn't prove it. he was going to get revenge.

Aaron took Michelle to a new age concert. she didn't like it, but thought it would be a great time to feed. Aaron met his new love. she was human. he had to have her. He didn't care if Michelle would get mad over this. Aaron made his first blood slave. Michelle agreed to it because she was attractive. they took care of her. her name was Anna.

Aaron and Michelle will find themselves in a lot of trouble when security guards become missing and killed. the cartel had men everywhere. Michelle was not worried. she thought of it as a game. it was all fun and games until they took Ana. now they had to get her back before it was too late.

Nightlife: Las Vegas is the second book in the Nightlife Series. This installment allows the reader to follow Michelle and Aaron as they take on Sin City.

Aaron is very different in this book; he has embraced his new life and is strong and confident. Although Michelle is the master, he seems more of an equal. Anastasia is a woman with psychic ability to whom Aaron is drawn. She is a tortured soul who has had a really rough life. Readers will get to see the interesting role she plays in the lives of Aaron and Michelle.

Luedke has done it again with Nightlife: Las Vegas. He took the reader on a wild ride as Michelle and Aaron fall prey to the dark side of Vegas. Once again, he draws the reader in with his descriptiveness and fascinating storyline. The thing I like most about Luedke’s vampires is while they do have the ability to love, their predatory nature is what is always in the forefront. I thought this book was a little darker than Nightlife: New York, but I really enjoyed the read.

This isn’t a fluffy romance so it may not be for everyone. If you are up for something different you can get lost in this world of sex, violence, and bloodlust. If you want more, the third book in the series Nightlife: Paris is already available.

I just finished Nightlife: Las Vegas by Travis Luedke. Wow.

I've read Nightlife: New York twice now. I really enjoyed it even though I'm not normally a huge fan of paranormal romance. Although, now that I think about it, I have read everything all the Kim Harrison books.

Nightlife: Las Vegas takes the next logical projection. Vampires in a new relationship are not likely to take midnight strolls and stare at the moon. There will be sex and blood and a whole bunch of violence. In every way I loved this book more.

The sex is much more intense. Like Book of O, Fifty Shades of Gray intense.

The violence hinted at in Nightlife: New York is also amped up. Now it feels more a True Blood episode directed by Quentin Tarantino.

I was also impressed by the introduction of subtext. A very clear distinction is made between vampire venom and heroin. Luedke shows us that addiction to any drug has some very serious consequences. Even if it feels fun at the time, it is going to end badly.

Nightlife: Las Vegas ends well. Notice I didn't say it has a happy ending. The stakes get raised yet again in a very exciting way. I look forward to Nightlife: Paris when it is released later this year.

After a horrible incident in New York Aaron and Michelle leave for Las Vegas. Ready for some fun the couple hit clubs, the casino, and music festivals. There Aaron meets Anastasia and instantly feels the need to keep her. Blood Slaves are a huge no-no with Michelle. She knows what becomes of them after a time. Using his telepathy Aaron wins big at the tables catching the eye of the Colombian Cartel. Seems the more fun the vampire couple have the more trouble it brings their way.

Whew! Aaron and Michelle sure know how to play. The Nightlife: Las Vegas was a roller coaster of ups and downs; stomach plummets and my heart in my throat. After Aaron saving Michelle from the corrupt cops they flea to Las Vegas for a fresh start and some fun. Aaron now has to manage his "predator" inside himself not knowing what could set it off. He meets Anastasia, who is lost and desperately wanting someone to love her and take care of her. There is so much drama in this book that you need to step back and take a breath but then you don't want to because it is that good and that addicting. Travis Luedke knows how to evoke emotions in his readers with every word.

The story continues with Michelle and Aaron as well as introducing a new "pet", Ana. Ana's character is very well developed and her background is very believable and easy to relate to. She fits extremely well in to the story! This story is much darker and more violent and graphic than the first, with many more sex scenes, so reader beware, it is not for the faint of heart! This story, like the first, was in a constant state of action, which I loved immensely! The plot and writing was even better than the previous book!! Mr. Luedke is fast becoming one of my favorite authors and most definitely writes an awesome, erotic, action-packed paranormal thriller! This book grabbed me from the beginning and forced me to read it in one sitting!! This is a great adult vampire story, with real Vegas nightlife scenarios of gambling, sex, drugs, and lots of violence!

I do want to caution you, as other reviews have done, if you are not much into very graphic sex and violence scenes as well as drug use, you should most definitely read the free sample first!!

That being said, I loved this book even more than the first one and can not wait to read the next one in the series!
