Along comes Matt - sexy, carefree and a rule breaker at every turn. His “it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission” attitude cuts against her rigid policies and procedures mind-set and she despises how everything is seemingly handed to him.

Pushing Vanessa too far with his office antics might just cause enough friction to make them explode for one night. Will that one night be enough for them? Or will it create enough tension to throw them into something they never expected to have…

What a great story.
Matt doesn't want his new promotion
Vanessa just wants to prove herself in her new role.
The two butt heads constantly.
But when they finally get together it's explosive.
One problem, will she finally decide to live life for herself or continue to attempt to please her mother.
Loved her dad too and it was great catching up with the Izzy, Z and Clark

An ARC of this book was provided by the author for an honest review. This is my first read by Josie Bordeaux and after reading Romantic Promises, I will be reading more of her books. Well-written with a great story-line, the author creates characters that you can't help but love. Ms. Bordeaux leaves her readers wanting a little bit more.

I don't know why it took me this long to read this! I had read the other 2 books so it was only a matter of time before reading this one! Matt and Vanessa have an undeniable connection and it sure was not boring reading the journey. Josie is one of my favorite authors for sure!

Matt & Vanessa are two people that seem to get together like oil & water.

Matt is a young man that is a total man-whore and lives his life having fun. However, everything changes when he is given a promotion at work that he can't turn down. This will mean that he has a schedule he to keep, a boos he has to see every day, and people that report to him. It also means he has to grow up a little bit and this is something he doesn't want to do.

Vanessa is a young woman that is working and fighting tooth & nail to be respected, accepted and fulfill the requirements of her job as the manager of the HR Department. However, this means quite often that she isn't the most liked person at her company. However, she is doing what she can to make sure that there are no issues that flair up that could cause problems.

Yet, with all the issues, problems, and obstacles that are in their way, these two are not going easy into their attraction with each other. However, when things come to a head and it all comes out, what will happen?? Will they be able to overcome the issues and problems? Will they be able to admit how much they are attracted to each other??

So I start reading and I think...hmmm...is this whole book about this sexist character and where is this going? Curiosity gets me and I keep reading. As I read, I discover a snobby socialite mommy dearest with her thumb constantly on her daughter and I despise her. Some real shady people! And yet I read. The characters are all in play and this writer did a beautiful job bringing them to life and I am caught up in the waves of emotions that are flying off these pages. Normally I would need some supernatural or other worldly character so show up to have me drooling for more, but this writers skilled creativity has me hooked good. Can't tell you what happens, but will warn you to have your weekend free! A copy of this book was given to me for an honest review.

This is the first book by Josie Bordeaux that I have read. To be honest I had never heard of Josie Bordeaux but now that I have she has been added to my TBR list. This really is a great love story of two people that under most circumstances and today society would not have even gone out on one date much less fall in love. At one point I would have loved to slap both of the two main characters just to knock some sense into them. I enjoyed the group of 20 somethings and the relationship they all have with each other. I found the characters and the story-line to be well developed and relate-able. I highly recommend this book. I look forward to reading more by Ms Bordeaux. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Well Matt and Vanessa's story was hot as hell and if you liked her first promise book then this one doesn't disappoint. I like book with BDSM themes and the first one had it, this one didn't but I still liked it. The chemistry was great but ideally I just can't wrap my brain around why Matt was so ready to give up his bachelorhood for Vanessa. It seemed from the beginning that he was firmly into it with no signs of boredom, but still it doesn't take from the story, it's just I couldn't see what was so different. Other than that I firmly believe that this author is great and I will definitely pick up her next book.

and she does it again.....

Josie shocked me with Promises, Promises as Z and Izzy met each other and I watched their story unfold. Learning that that Romantic Promises was about Matt (Z's brother) and all his secrets. Matt is a playboy, that shows in the first book. But this story finds him learning himself and when he meets Vanessa he has no idea what he is in for. I really could not put this book down. It filled all the needs i had as I flipped each page. Can't wait for the next one.

This amazing stand alone novel is about Matt and Vanessa. Matt is relocated for a unwanted promotion and Vanessa is the new HR head of Matt's company who just wants to prove herself in her new role. The storyline is compelling and well developed. The characters are realistic and you will fall in love with them. This novel is sweet, sexy, romantic, steamy, and fun to read. Looking forward to reading more books in this series. This is a must read as you won't be disappointed. I was given a free copy in exchange for a honest review.

I couldn't put this book down! As in "Promises Promises", the character development is great. The interactions between Matt & Victoria are spicy with a full range of emotions including anger, humor, jealousy, passion, & finally love... Victoria is complex & full of surprises. Matt is a sweet guy (player) that you can't help but love -- and he's just what Victoria needs! A solid 5 stars! (Note: I purchased this book in the boxed set but wanted to review this book on it's own.)

I loved this book even more than the first in this series. Matt is your typical playboy. Vanessa is this cold shrew like woman, or so you think. They make a great couple. I was super excited to see more of the characters from Promises, Promises. Can't wait to read the next one!

I was given a free copy Via the Dog Days of Summer Reading Challenge. What more could you ask for ManWhore reformed and good girl. Living life to the fullest Matt is not one to mess around, But given an opportunity he couldn't pass up he is forced to grow up. Vanessa see's Matt changing is it enough for her?

Matt and Vanessa are two people who should not be together.... until they are. These two make a fiery couple, both hell bent on not getting hurt.
A good story, well written... like to see how Vanessa grew through out ( even though she was a wee bit TOO insecure for me) ...

This is the 2nd book in the Alluring Promises Series. This is a must read. I just love Matt & Vanessa. I love how the characters from the first book are brought into the 2nd, It lets you know what they are all up to. I am now going onto book 3.

This was a real romantic story, unless you asked the main characters, which made for a funny story for awhile. This was great from there different sides. I didn't read book 1 which I might have to go back and read. This author has a great style of writing that will make me come back for more!!

Just as great as book three. I'm definitely going to be reading this series in order, but you really don't have to. An Amazing series.
