Jeff Pickett didn’t even have enough money to buy himself a good warm winter coat when the dying gambler rode up to his campfire with an offer he couldn’t afford to refuse. The $10,000 in the wounded man’s saddlebags was his. And all he had to do to keep it was make sure the killers on the gambler’s trail didn’t get their hands on it. So Jeff Pickett rode off alone into wild country—Apache country—with $10,000 in his saddlebags and a dozen greedy outlaws on his trail.
Another Great Western by Van Holt. I have read several of Mr. Holt's books, and love them all. His Westerns rank right up there with Zane Grey, Louis L'Amour, and William W. Johnstone. If you enjoy Westerns, you will enjoy this book.
