I loved Christa right off the girl had some pretty big lady balls, "what the eff did you do that for?" Hayden gritted out as he straightened, his balls still throbbing. Damn female." Hayden is learning to control his male urges when he's around Christa, "he fisted his hands by his sides to keep from reaching out to her and pulling her to his body. "Have dinner with me." I loved seeing the soft side of Hayden it was really cute, "Hayden handed her another sandwich. "Don't feed this one to them." When she peered at him, she hid a smile at the amusement in his eyes. It was as though he was pleased by her interaction with the wolves." I love how this series talks about how the animal side is their own unique personality as well, "his wolf perked up at the thought and moved to rub against him where Christa's skin touched his. The damn beast like the idea of Christ carrying his pups. The wolf never understood patience. No, the animal within took what he wanted, all be damned." Sometimes in Lia's books there's another couple that stands out that really shouldn't but Ana and Kieran, I'm telling you what I pray that their story is next because I want to see how that all works out.

Title : Divided Loyalties

Review :

Divided Loyalties is the newest book in the Ashwood Falls series by talented author Lia Davis. This book pulled me in and kept me captivated until the end. It's an explosive story of forbidden love that gets me every time. It is pure story telling magic.

Christa Baker is a hunter for Shield. She wants revenge against rogue werewolves for taking her family. Lately, something isn't right in the Shield organization, and she has her niece and nephew who depend on her to keep them safe. So she's been thinking about getting out. It's the point of no return for that though, when a raid on Shield headquarters ends with Christa being kidnapped by a handsome wolf.
The human hunters are a threat to Ashwood Falls Pack. Hayden Raines is surprised when a raid on their enemies brings him to his mate. The naughty wolf kidnaps the feisty hunter, even as he wonders if fate has played a cruel trick on him.
They began as enemies, with nothing but anger between them. Then Christa learns that she's been mislead and lied to about who the enemy really is. Hayden discovers that Christa has her own reasons for hating the rogues. So they unite against a common enemy. While the children she cares for are embraced into the pack, trust must be earned by Christa. Now to the yummy part of the story. The chemistry for Hayden and Christa was electrifying as the mating dance began. But Christa was slow to accept their mating. So the reader got to enjoy some scorching love scenes in which he kept convincing her. *grin*

What can I say ? This book was well written. The plot was solid, with lots of intriguing twists and turns. Hayden and Christa were incredibly vibrant characters. Their back stories were interesting, and the romance was captivating. He as the perfect alpha male and she as the strong willed mate. The suspense was great. A lot of things happened that made the story interesting. Davis was working deep with the subplots. This brings more depth and richness to the characters, making them seem more real to the reader. Davis also catches us up with some of our other characters. We get to find out what's going on there. So it's all good.

Divided Loyalties is a great book. I wouldn't change a thing about it. I will be giving this one four flying stars !

My thanks to Lia Davis and Fated Desires Publishing for my complimentary copy.

Well she has gone and done it again given another awesome journey into Ashwood Falls and wow love that place and the characters. Sometimes in series things can get a little laggy but not in this one. As soon as you pick it up your are swept right back into a adventure and this time you get right in the face hit with action. Christa knows something not quite right with Vance. But she has been with Shield for a long time and she has her niece and nephew to consider too. Guess what this is where the action begins and and she is swept away ha ha not by choice by none other than Hayden. He can sweep me away too. He also is going to play very important role in her life. Being the fighter Christa is things are going to get interesting. Good for us readers. He also finds out about her niece and nephew because no way do they let her just drop off radar without looking. They too are special and one of the reasons she protects them dearly. Dear ole mom of Hayden's love her and her strength and wit. He is very lucky to be in this special pack. Touch bases again with ones you have come to know and love intertwined in this also. Sign of a good author and love it when it is picked up right where you left off no snaffoos, or in the dark and asking did I miss something not with this author. Feel the heat explode right off the pages as they dance around each other Christa and Hayden and the humor got to love it. Of course once they are in the pack, more danger and adventure pop right in and her loyalty is proven big time I would say. One of the reason I read paranormal romance is the raw magic in the romance that heats up the night or sweats you in the day and this has it in spades. In order to accomplish a mission and carry out a plan Hayden has to trust her big time and in a sense her too. Other members involved and was I gripping my seat and hollering. Also you will have a few tears in the eye ahh the love of friends shown here. Woo buddy love the decision at the end she makes and really should I be saying the end of another beginning till we travel there again. received a arc for a honest review.

The sixth story in the Ashwood Falls series is an intriguing and entertaining book of shifters.

When her niece and nephew end up in the crossfire, Christa begins to rethink her career choice as a rogue hunter and now she’s looking for a way to disappear off Shield’s radar for good. Ashwood Falls wolf Marshal Hayden Raines has always followed the rules, but then he kidnaps a human woman who may be the enemy but just so happens to be his mate.

This fast paced smooth flowing plot grabs the reader’s attention and doesn’t let go until the very end. The author brings it to life with vivid imagery and bewitching characters with strong personalities that the reader can easily relate to. All the scenes, especially the battle scene, are vivid with enough details that the reader feels as the reader is right there with the characters as they battle the enemy.

The chemistry between Hayden and Christa radiates heat from every page and the sex scenes leave the reader singed. The author adds depth to the characters by conveying the emotions and personalities with great intensity.

The tension builds as the characters battle the rogues and protect the humans and the author has does a wonderful job of creating suspense and intrigue and capturing the reader’s imagination with this wonderful community of shifters.

The author introduces new characters and new situations and conflicts into the story seamlessly blending them with all the beloved characters of Ashwood Falls.

I never get enough of this series and I am always sorry to see the story end and this one is no exception. The author’s world of shifters always brings surprises and charming characters to each book in this enchanting series. I am looking forward to the next one, impatiently I must add.

In the past her loyalties may have been divided, but he seems to trust her on sight! Another Ashwood Success! This is Hayden's book - he is Luna's first son and born Alpha for the wolf pack - and even though he is the focus we get to see some of our favorites! Cameron, Blaine and Graham have news to share. We learn a little more about Ana (Keegan and Catherine's daughter taken before she was born). And we meet several new characters! And now a bit about the story...

Hayden is sent in to exterminate a bunch of humans infected by the mutants. Will Felix never give up? Just as this team is entering he runs smack dab into a fiery blonde. She he protects, the rest are killed on the spot. Much to his dismay Vance, the main target, isn't there. Vance reports to Felix and had infiltrated the human organization Shield and had been infecting them. All but Christa. Christa is the fiery blonde mentioned earlier. Stay tuned as Hayden kidnaps her and see how she finds her way out of this latest mess.

I really enjoyed this story and can't wait for the next one, now I have my eye on Dane, I like that he is quirky and likes to be alone...

Favorite passages:
- "You're not a prisoner." "Then let me go." "I can't do that." She snorted. "That makes fucking sense." Hayden felt his lips twitch. The female had spirit, that was for sure. He was going to enjoy playing with her.
- This man was not used to being told no. Well, he'd have to get used to it because she wasn't used to following orders.
- "If you think you can just throw around order like I'm one of your soldiers, you are mistaken. I'm your mate, and you need to trust in me."

I fall more in love with Ashwood Falls with every new story that unfolds. Lia Davis writes complex characters that you love and hate.
Christa Baker is one kick-ass heroine! She has had to do things in her past that would make a lesser woman lock herself in a padded room and count the flowers on the wallpaper. But Christa, instead takes control of her life and that of her twin niece and nephew. She hunts rogue werewolves fro Shield and keeps her family safe. She is a loving guardian, who would put her life on the line for her family. However, something is wrong at the office. The new director of Shield is not what he appears to be and Christa fears for her life and her family.
When she is kidnapped by a sexy, irritating werewolf her life changes, and how!
Hayden Raines goes on a raid at Shield headquarters, expecting to kill some mutants and bag the big baddie. He never expected to find his mate among the enemy! Damn his luck. But, he soon finds that Christa is much more than she appears on the surface, and he is falling;hard and fast.
I love the family dynamics in this series. The continuity of the returning characters and story lines. The Ashwood Falls series offers suspense, mystery, heat and heart; all the things that make a book worth reading.
Can't wait to see what happens next!

Christa Baker is deciding the best way to get out of her career choice with Shield to protect her twin nephew and niece, when they are raided by shifters. She finds her out in the form of a wolf shifter, who ends up being so much more to her.
Hayden Raines is the wolf marshal of Ashwood Falls and we do what it takes to protect his family and the human hunter he just kidnapped, is also his mate Christa Baker, who is a human and worked for Shield, the human rebels.
Christa doesn't trust Hayden easily, but she also knows that he is the best way to protect her nephew and niece from harm. She plans on making her escape as soon as soon the threat is taken care of, and leaving her nephew and niece in Ashwood Falls capable hands because they are better situated to raise twin wolves.
What Christa didn't count on was falling Hayden and wanting to stay with him for good. Hayden does whatever he can to earn Christa's trust, and her love in the hope that she stays with him for good.

Divided Loyalties was another great book in the Ashwood Falls series. High powered action and sexy scenes plus a hot alpha wolf who melts your heart by just a look. I enjoyed reading this and am very much looking forward to reading the next book.

Our souls will connect

Divided Loyalties Lia Davis

Christa Baker is a Hunter and very focused on taking down rogue shifters and mutants and protecting her niece and nephew. But something is not right with Shield ever since Vance has stepped in and taken over. She senses something evil with him and wants out of Shield and off their radar so she can keep her niece and nephew safe and out of Vance’s hands.

When Shield HQ’s is raided by The Ashwood Falls Pack lead by Hayden Raines Wolf Marshall, Christa lands smack dab into Hayden’s arms. Fighting tooth and nail to get away from the shifter she is tranqued to calm her down. Funny thing turns out Christa is Hayden’s potential Mate. Of all things Hayden’s potential mate is Human a hunter and a possible threat to Ashwood Falls.

Hayden is bound and determined to earn Christa’s trust, but Christa in turn has to prove her loyalty to the pack. This read has plenty of action and just enough romance to keep the reader engaged and there were a few unexpected twists and revelations especially when they found Gina and Rick. That’s all you’re getting. Read the story.

I received an audio copy of this book from Barclay Publicity in exchange for an honest review.

I have to say that this series seemed to have gotten better with each book. I mean, I really thought Surrendering to the alpha would be the one I liked best. It turns out, this book dethroned its predecessor. Divided Loyalties had a very good conflict. With two people from opposite sides in a war that endangered humans and shifters alike.

As any book from this series, there were pretty good scenes of steam. The chemistry between the main characters were great. I am going to keep this review short because there's pretty much nothing else for me to say other than my opinion that if the author keeps on producing more books like the Divided Loyalties, she will gain more and more fans not only in the paranormal romance subgenre but the entire romance genre as a whole.

I am a fan of this series and always do a happy dance when the next one is released. Christa is stubborn, strong, and intelligent. She also happens to be inadvertently working for the bad guys. Hayden is hot, alpha, and sweet. His latest mission ends with him kidnapping Christa. While this is far from the perfect way to start a mating, it turns out the best thing that has happened to both of them. Secrets are starting to be revealed as the depth of the danger Ashwood Falls is facing becomes even more apparent. Hot romance, action, suspense, and family all make this a great read. This is one of those series has a lot of characters that are revisited from previous books and has an underlying story arc that really makes it far more enjoyable if you have read the whole series.

Things are heating up in Ashwood Falls. The rouges are plotting, planning and wreaking havoc. While I did enjoy this book, I felt it was a little short. I thought that Christa gave up too soon and too easy. I thought she needed to be sassier with a little more fight in her. The Shield has been compromised, and mutants are everywhere. I could not put the book down, it had so much action. I can’t wait for the packs to make a little headway in the war with the rouges and Onyx. Haydon and Christa has some heat going on. Lots of steamy pages. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

another great story in the Ashwood Falls series. 6th book in the series and you really should read them in order. The story grabbed me from the first page and kept me interested till the end. As in the rest of series we are kept up to date on the past couples, which i really like. We have the Onyx pack still causing big time trouble, strong leading female, funny moments, hot alpha male and hot sex. If you enjoy shifter books this series is for you

Overall I found this book engaging and action packed. This is the first book I've read by this author. I enjoyed the author's writing style and think she did a wonderful job of incorporating enough info from the other books in the series that I didn't feel lost. This could be a stand alone but I think one would benefit better by reading the other books in this series. I know I will.

This is book six of the Shifters of Ashwood Falls series and the main characters in this one are Christa Baker, who works for Shield and has been trained to take down rogue shifters and protect humans, and Hayden Raines, a Marshall for the wolf shifters of the Ashwood pack, whose mother is the Ashwood pack wolf shifter alpha Luna. Christa has had some serious loss in her life, caused by rogue or mutant shifters, and has been bringing up her sister’s kids, twins Brenna and Bryce since they were eight. Their father Rick was a wolf shifter and so she has kept them in a separate, secret location for the last eight years, using what her sister had told her about shifters to help raise them. Her new boss at Shield, Vance, is taking matters into a completely different direction and seems to have pin-pointed the Ashwood pack as being the source of the rogue and mutant shifters! He is taking matters to the extreme and getting his teams of hunters to kill all shifters, not just rogue or mutant shifters. She gets a bad feeling from Vance and is looking for some way out of Shield, so she can keep her niece and nephew safe. She thinks that Vance could actually be a shifter and the rest of the staff at their meeting are all acting a bit off, now she thinks about it.

Just as she is leaving, a man enters the building and starts shooting everyone behind her. Behind him are more men with guns, and they are looking for Vance, knowing he is connected to the alpha of the Onyx pack, Felix, who is trying to take over all the packs and more. Christa is left shocked and Hayden carries her out of the lobby and into one of their vehicles, after she is tranquilised. He is a by the rules kind of guy and gets a shock coming face to face with Christa, more so when he realises she is his mate, even if she is human! He can’t go back to the pack itself with Christa in tow, as she was a hunter for Shield and he doesn’t know yet if he can trust her. She is keeping something secret from him and not being completely truthful with him and he needs to know what before he can allow her into the pack, in case she is a danger to them all. She is attracted to him and can’t understand why, especially when she thinks he might be one of the dangerous pack Shield have been after.

Hayden needs to find out what she knows about Vance’s plans for the Ashwood pack, whilst also trying to convince her of the truth about Felix, Vance and the Onyx pack, and the virus they have created. They have managed to infect humans now and are getting ever more dangerous. On top of that he has the mating pull to battle, whilst his brother and friends make fun of him. A good bit of back and forth romance as they fight their attraction, until they can’t any more. Christa can see that the best place for her niece and nephew is with a pack and is willing to do all she can to make sure they are safe and that she can still be in their lives. They still have to deal with attacks from Vance and his goons, as well as the rogues and mutants of the Onyx pack. A few surprises are revealed about the virus and how people or shifters are able to get infected, as well as a shock from Ana, from her friend Gina and her companion. Lots more to unravel about this virus and how to possibly defeat it, as well as those behind all this evil. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

I am loving this series and will be sad when it ends as all of the characters have become cherished friends. This is Hayden the Marshall for the wolf pack, Luna;s eldest son. He has been sent on a mission to discover more about the human group who are killing rogues and shifters alike. It is there at one of the meeting that he discovers his mate Christa Baker and kidnaps her. Christa hasn't liked the way that the group has become after a new leader takes over, she wants out now to devote her time to her niece Brenna and nephew Bryce twin wolf shifters.

There is a lot of twists and turns in this story as Christa and Hayden learn to trust one another and realize that they are on the same side.

I voluntarily chose to read a complimentary copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion. Judge it for yourself I think you will like the blended supernatural characters within.

These books are very quick reads. So if you don't have a lot of time to read a good story then choose these.
Christa is a human that is in Shield. She fights against shifters to protect humans. Or at least she was until Vance took over as boss. Now she doesn't know anything except that she has to protect her niece and nephew. They are twin wolf shifters who no longer have their parents.
Hayden meets Christa when he goes to raid one of the Shield facilities looking for Vance.
Can Christa get past her feelings against shifters to form a bond with her mate? What happens when the company she worked for comes after her and the rest of Ashwood Falls?

Freya was running from her family and pack since she has been mistreated since her mother died, Dean found her took her to his place for her to heal. But Freya thought that she was smarter followed Dean and met Ryan she thought Ryan was going to help her but as she came into her powers she realized that Dean was right. Things worked out! Good book!.

Christa needed to get away from Vance and Shield

Christa worked for Shield. Her boss, Vance, was getting too weird in his thinking. When he took over, many things changed; not for the good. After a meeting Christa needed to ensure her sisters twins, everything was ok. Once a text was confirmed, an explosion sounded at a door. Men came in rushing to kill everyone. She was grabbed and given a tranquilizer, lights out. She woke up in a car with two of then men responsible for the raid. Why was this happening to her. She wanted to get away from Shield, but not like this.

Divided Loyalties is the sixth book in the Ashwood Falls series. This book follows the story of Christa and Hayden. I love how accepting of the mate bond Christa gives to Hayden. I also love how willing Christa is to form and finalize the mate bond between them. I thought this book to be suspenseful and a page-turner. Also, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I read this book. I also found that the book to be quite well-written. I would most definitely recommend this book to other readers.

I liked this better than the previous book and I liked that Christa was strong and could hold her own. However, most of the content was informational and there was less focus on romance between Hayden & Christa. We were given a lot of information about the other packs, more new characters introduced, and a lot was going on at once which I found a bit tedious to read. It’s also getting hard to keep up with all the characters and relationships.
