This book was DEFINITELY a first. I kind of expected it reading the description. There were a lot of things I liked and a few things I didn't. Olivia is really funny! She's really smart, very independent, very opinionated, a total wino, and lastly a Loud Bitch... Which is where my indifference for her lied. She's vveeerry Alpha! Which leads to Lex Lyndon and why he likes her. Seeks her out for his "attempt" at getting his curiosity filled about being in a relationship where HE gives up control and lets himself be the submissive.
I had to think about the parts I didn't like about this book....and then it smacked me on the ass HARD! I'm a hypocrite! I'm use to reading about banter and bdsm (on whatever level) but I'm not use to the girl being the bossy, controlling bitch. I think we as a whole are desensitized to the dominate male, cocky, panty melting smile, Asshole! When roles reverse you're eyes see it differently!! I kept thinking "God, what a bitch! Just play nice!" But in reality I've read it the other way around at least 200 times and never batted an eyelash!
Now make no mistake, this book is not some complete role reversal. Lex is a crazy rich douche. They argue and have A-LOT of sex, but it was an eye opener for me.
So aside from my epiphany :) ... I really liked this book. It was fun and different from my norm...kind of. The best parts of this book were #1 Olivia's inner dialogue and #2 the constant talk from both of them..and her family...about her love for the giant granny panties. Oh, and #3 Lex getting caught at least a half dozen times trying to spank it! Ha!
My least favorite part of this book was that they acted more like they were straight out of college and not in their 30's. But I got past it.
I recommend to anyone looking for something a little off the beaten path to read about!!
Cheers :)
