C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.

Lex Lyndon - An Alpha male who wants to submit and Oli Ashcraft - a fiesty woman who doesn't take any shit from anyone, especially the CEO of her company.

When Lex tries to fire Oli for standing up to him, he realises he has met his match and find he likes it. All his life he has got what he wanted, he's spoilt and has women fawning over him. He is sick of the mewling women and when he gets an earful from Oli, he offers her a deal. He wants to hand over control and he wants her to dominate him in the bedroom.

At first, I was worried that I'd find Lex unappealing but I didn't. He most definitely wasn't a doormat and the fireworks between the two were explosive and he didn't let his alpha-ness retreat without a fight. The banter and bickering was funny and I think CM Stunich did a great job, it was really different from her previous books and it worked.

"You hardly need fancy tricks. Your backbone and your attitude are enough for me."

"That's... great. I'm sorry you've never heard a woman tell you to fuck off before. Now, I really should get going."

My only complaint was that there were quite a few typos, which really need to be corrected and the ending was a bit rushed, things progressed at a steady pace but then the last 5% just went at double speed. Other than that I thought this was a refreshing change.

Lex & Oli butt heads like crazy, she HATES him and he absolutely loves that hate. He loves her backbone and her feistyness, he's dying to have it in the bedroom. Oli can't help herself, she loves to hate Lex. He's entitled, he's an asshole, and he's hot.

If you've ever read and liked any of C. M. Stunich's books, then you'll know that they are OTT and funny, with extremely bold characters. 'Taming Her Boss' does not disappoint.

I loved Stunich's take on a BDSM billionaire romance. It made fun out of it's predecessors, it had running jokes, crazy families and clashing lead characters.

Ughhh this shit was so disappointing. I've been looking for a female Dom/sub book and this shit was lame. She wasn't dominant. She was a bitch. The dialogue, the characters, the plot....fuckin ridiculous. The sex wasn't even hot. The 1 star is just for the premise. Great idea, horrible execution.

This book wasn't for me. It was way to slow, too wordy with no real flow and I didn't really connect with any of the characters. Just a personal things I suppose noting all the others who loved it.

Taming Her Boss for me was a refreshing take on an often overdone premise. Billionaire CEO falls for the financially struggling girl from a different world. However C.M Stunich is an amazing writer, and her spin on this tale was fantastic. I loved how strong, feisty, funny and confident Olivia was. She was such a great voice and I loved every part of her. I also loved her family. So unconventional and yet, it worked so well. It made her such an interesting character to read and be in her head. I loved it. Lex was a little harder to define at first for me, but I loved how they both sort of fell into this thing they had. I loved that the reader was clued into what was going on before they even got to realise it. I loved their chemistry, their fire, their spark It was a hot read that had a lot of depth. I am so glad C.M wrote this, because she has a knack for writing awesome heroines, and this genre desperately needed a character like Oli. So well done!

I'd recommend this to anyone who loves two strong characters, who love to hate and hate to love. It was fun, the banter and sex was great and I was sad to see this end.

This book was DEFINITELY a first. I kind of expected it reading the description. There were a lot of things I liked and a few things I didn't. Olivia is really funny! She's really smart, very independent, very opinionated, a total wino, and lastly a Loud Bitch... Which is where my indifference for her lied. She's vveeerry Alpha! Which leads to Lex Lyndon and why he likes her. Seeks her out for his "attempt" at getting his curiosity filled about being in a relationship where HE gives up control and lets himself be the submissive.

I had to think about the parts I didn't like about this book....and then it smacked me on the ass HARD! I'm a hypocrite! I'm use to reading about banter and bdsm (on whatever level) but I'm not use to the girl being the bossy, controlling bitch. I think we as a whole are desensitized to the dominate male, cocky, panty melting smile, Asshole! When roles reverse you're eyes see it differently!! I kept thinking "God, what a bitch! Just play nice!" But in reality I've read it the other way around at least 200 times and never batted an eyelash!

Now make no mistake, this book is not some complete role reversal. Lex is a crazy rich douche. They argue and have A-LOT of sex, but it was an eye opener for me.

So aside from my epiphany :) ... I really liked this book. It was fun and different from my norm...kind of. The best parts of this book were #1 Olivia's inner dialogue and #2 the constant talk from both of them..and her family...about her love for the giant granny panties. Oh, and #3 Lex getting caught at least a half dozen times trying to spank it! Ha!

My least favorite part of this book was that they acted more like they were straight out of college and not in their 30's. But I got past it.

I recommend to anyone looking for something a little off the beaten path to read about!!

Cheers :)

This book is so frustrating!!
The whole situation in this story is just so fucked-up!
description

It's totally a copy of FSOG but in reverse. If in FSOG Christian is looking for a Submisive, in this book, the Hero - the asshole billionaire, is looking for Dominant.
But the author failed miserably to copy FSOG so the story ended up being so freaking fucked-up!

I'm usually okay with all hate/love relationship. But this one is just a NO!
Both the Hero and heroine are so fucking annoying and up until now, honestly I still don't understand why the Hero (Lex - the boss) came to the heroine (Olivia - the employee) and

And not to mention about the fucked-up sexual life style in Olivia's family.

I didn't want to DNF it because I was jut DNFed a book before this. I really hate to not finishing a book. And I was actually hoping that the story will getting better in the end. But unfortunately, even the ending was disappointing.

As Olivia would say, "Gah!!!" I can't believe this book is over - I need SO MUCH MORE of these two! Like all of C.M.'s books, this one had me from the very first page. The tumultuous relationship between this alpha male (Lex) and equally alpha female (Olivia) kept me turning page after page at a crazy fast pace. I loved everything about this book, especially since it is somewhat opposite of what we are used to reading in this genre. Lex, a billionaire bad boy, of course, is looking for a dominant female in his life and he finds the perfect candidate in Oli. She is a fierce girl and such a strong character. The sex between these two is scorching, but the fights and bickering is almost better, if you can believe that! The banter is truly amazing and will make you smile and laugh throughout, "I want you to f**k me like you hate me. And then I'd like to take you out on a date."

I only wish that it wasn't a standalone and that we got to see more of their relationship. Hint hint, C.M. - give us more Lex and Oli! I will be the first one to buy it and devour it just as I did this one! Once again, bravo to you for giving us yet another amazing book!

This was quirky and entertaining. The heat between Oli and Lex in the first couple of chapters was off the charts and made the book seem extremely promising. After that it fizzled a little but mostly because the promise of what could've been was never really fulfilled. Lex became really tame and Oli became an annoying nutcase who seemed to be confrontational just to be so and not out of any real conviction or organic place. So at about 40% her contrariness started to grind on me. My biggest complaint is that she was never the dominant person he was looking for, not really. So although she didn't pander to him like the sycophants he was tired of, she never truly lived up to his expectations. Also, the HEA was not really so happily or ever after, she doesn't seem too enthused about loving him or their relationship. Of course, that could just be her ability to do exactly the opposite of everything that he wants.

Overall, it was an entertaining read. Especially right at the very beginning.

I had such high hopes for this book. Olivia and Lex are different from most characters and their bickering is hilarious. But the ending did not seem complete and there were so many spelling errors that it became distracting at times. I love CM Stunich, so yeah I wanted more lol. Nevertheless it was a refreshing tale and I still enjoyed myself.

Olivia IS an alpha female. She is so strong while at the same time showing little areas of compassion. I would have loved to see her give more of herself in the story. Lex IS an alpha male and so amazingly hot. He is asshole perfection. The supporting characters should have had more "screen time" in my opinion. Loved them. Great book.

Beautiful cover, it immediately caught my attention. Usually, I don’t like covers with guys in them, but this faceless guy in the red tie with the pink background makes me smile. Looks good to me and maybe hints at a sense of humor. 😉

However, after reading the book I was a disappointed. It was a nice little story, but not particularly engaging. I hoped for something outrageously shocking bit of fun like the Hot Damned Series by Robyn Peterman. Sorry to say it wasn’t anything like that, although it wasn’t necessarily a bad novel. Only average.

Lex is a bigshot CEO who thinks he wants to dominated and looks for the perfect girl to spank his ass. After a fight with one his employee, Olivia, he decides she is the perfect dominatrix for him. So he starts to pursue her (that includes threatening to fire her if she won’t have dinner with him). There were funny moments there (her threatening lawsuit constantly) and some disturbing ones (the panties). Lex is so not sub material…

There were parts where the MCs made me smile but never to the point of laughing. I’m a tough cookie to crack with high expectations. And the cover promised me fun it didn’t deliver.

I feel as though the writer had a good concept but didn’t think it through well. Spoilers ahead!!!

Olivia is portrayed as a head strong powerful women raised on ideals of equality between the sexes. She doesn’t bow down to anyone and is able to stand up against those who are rarely challenged. Her natural dominant personality would ( in theory) play well against this stories Hero Lex. However with her not having any sexual domination experience and Lex being just as inexperienced in an area he’s so eager to explore it lead to just a bunch of nothing. Typical descriptions of steamy escapades and gushy physical romance littered almost every page. For being described as a dom/Sub novel it didn’t really hit on any key factors besides poorly forced directions which were all but disregarded by the supposed sub in the relationship. I Didn’t enjoy the conclusions ( or scapegoats) the write turned to in order to divert the intention of the story to another route. What was suppose to be a story about a male wanting to explore his craving to give up control became a sappy romance about discovery he just didn’t like the “kittens” using him for his money. All in all it was an okay ready well worthy of the 3 stars but it isn’t what it was sold out to be. Just my two cents!

Something old... but new to me.

This is an older book of one of my favorite authors, C.M. Stunich and a far departure from what I am used to. I enjoy many genres of romance, so for me, it was a treat. It wasn't as all consuming as reading some of the authors series, but Oli and Lex definitely had the heat and humor she brings to her characters.
The characters are interesting and quirky. I love characters who make me laugh. If you like lighter contemporary romance, you should like this one.
If this is your first experience with C.M. Stunich, I will pre-warn you that most of her current writing is darker, rh, enemies to lovers series, so pay attention to her descriptions and warnings. In my opinion, she is one of the best in the business.

A witty read

This was a very interesting story of a Strong willed woman (Olivia) who doesn't take shit from no one and her overbearing Boss (Lex) who just wants a woman to put him in his place. I really liked the characters, the witty love-hate relationship and fiery passion between the two. Its quick and easy to read quick read at certain points I did find that it dragged but good nonetheless

Enjoyable rom-com

I've read a lot of CMs work and am a huge fan. This is a little different to what I've read and that's a great thing. Re-released as a freebie as a lovely gesture during this trying time and it was a fantastic escape.
Funny, angsty, hot. It was a pleasure to read and I'll no doubt read again.

Good book

The book was good. Like the book mentioned it is kind of a reverse of Fifty Shades. I could have used some more emotional growth from Olivia, but I think she really did have feelings for Lex. I wish we could have gotten more of their relationship after they both admitted they had feelings. I would definitely read another if there was one.

love c.m. Stunich

I absolutely adore C.M. Stunich. She always puts a smile on my face while I’m reading her books. Her characters are always among my favorites and her world building is always so fun to uncover. With that being said, the phrase “A _____ does not a _____ make” is dead to me.

What an interesting work relationship

This was just a crazy book. It started off with a bang, albeit a weird one that was completely blown out of proportion. And it kinda got weirder from there. But the characters were great - eccentric and fun and snarky and passionate. Would have loved an epilogue a few years in the future.

3.5 stars... Interesting but a bit frustrating. The only thing I didn't like is the fifty shades of grey reference, that turn off for me when a book references that book or tries to be like that book. It takes away the originality of the story. Don't get me wrong the storyline was good.
