Found this by accident in the library. I’ve always liked true stories, especially ones about real people who somehow manage to make it through impossible situations.
I was left wanting two things, though. One was more insight into Nasima’s mother and what her life was like during those years. The other was some glimpse of what came after for Nasima herself. A short epilogue might have been enough. But perhaps the absence of one says something too — some traumas are not resolved by the final page, and their healing can take many years.
(Read it in Hungarian, just could not find the proper edition on Goodreads)
