Being kidnapped and held for ransom is traumatic at the best of times. Unfortunately for loans company manager Charles Pearson, the timing couldn't be worse.

In approximately forty-four hours, an asteroid twenty-five miles in diameter will strike the Earth. The governments of the world have mobilised in secret and built shelters to save as many as they can. Pearson is one of the lucky few who was offered survival in exchange for his personal fortune. But right now he doesn't feel quite so lucky.

Benjamin Dickson is a writer, artist and lecturer whose graphic novels include A New Jerusalem, Fight The Power! A Visual History of Protest Among the English-Speaking Peoples and Santa Claus vs the Nazis. He has had many short stories published in Britain, America and Germany, and has also co-produced several freely-available graphic novels on the subject of climate change. He lives and works in Bristol, UK.
