This is part one to The Cry Havoc series and I just wasn't wow'd enough to really care to read on. It is a series of snippets into a day to day of Stiles and Derek's growing friendship from mistrust to kisses, and between each snippet is a paragraph or two in fairytale / fable form - kind of just narrating the premise of each snippet. No UST, no real building to the relationship - it just seems to kind of happen. It is okay and easy and somewhat sweet / bitter sweet. Just not what I was really looking for in a Sterek.

Very interesting start to a new series. I cannot wait to dive into the second book.

This was written as a prequel and it read like one. I'll perhaps consider re-reading this after reading #2.
