Just didn't give me what I was looking for. Examples we "canned" and "perfect" and seemed to only be tailored to the business world, not other fields of employment. I found other books on the topic that were better.

This book was helpful to me in finding ways to deal effectively with difficult people at all levels.

I refer back to this book frequently.

In reading this book I also became aware of my own shortcomings and how to correct them.

What makes a person difficult to work with? There are so many ways in which colleagues, subordiantes, and boss can get the worse out of you or vise versa. This book gives different type of scenarios in how in deal with difficult people and also provides tactics on how to handle the situation. It is an interesting book because it serves a guide book depending on the circumstance. I would recommend the book because the steps are easy to follow and can increase communication skills. It is sad, but true that now in days a lot of tension and stress is increasing within an organization. This book can help in reducing tension by learning how to communicate effectively to either the boss or co-workers. It is designed as a reference point to look for logical explanations rather than an emotional reaction. Also if you are interested in this book try reading Psychology Applied to Work by Paul Muchinsky. It is an industrial psychology book that gives detailed information about approach used by leaders and attitudes within the organization. This made me understand Muriel Solomon scenarios being so that she has great experience in communication and working with organizations as a consultant. I think that her work is amazing and a helpful tool to maintain a peaceful environment.

Just a rehash of old techniques. Quit reading after 20 or so pages reading stuff I already knew and have used for decades. Oh well. Others will find it a place to start dealing with difficult people. I actually don't care much anymore.

You think you're awesome. Everyone else thinks you're annoying. I think you're just a chapter in a book.
