After reading some modern books on Christian living, I wanted to go further back in time to see if similar books from decades ago had stronger scriptural support and spent less time on funny stories or anecdotes. Introducing Christian Ethics was a great read overflowing with Biblical references. The first half of the book is an understanding of ethics through each section of the Bible while the latter deals with how we should approach marriage, race, economics, and politics with all of that in mind. Because the book was written in 1961, the second half doesn't have the knowledge of Vietnam, Roe v Wade, civil rights marches, and so on. It also uses some outdated terms. All in all, though, it was an interesting book which got me to read about ethics, a topic I don't often engage in.
