Readable mix of research and story, this book's major thesis is that being engaged in life, socially, intellectually, spiritually and productively impacts both vitality and longevity. Both Aging Gracefully by Donald Knowland and Why Good Things Happen to Good People by Stephen Post are similar in style and in findings.

All three books are commentary on the Psalmist's insight that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

It is a well written book with many anecdotes and scientific experiments to back the empirical knowledge and wisdom of our wise ancestors. I hope and sincerely pray that Mr. Anderson's vision for the future comes to pass. For my part, I do plan to always incorporate the non biological aspects of the disease in my practice....

A psychology book by far, but good for anyone to read, it helps you examine your life and decide how to live it!
