Jasmine Barber, 22, was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. Jasmine is currently in college working towards her Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Influenced by her mother at an early age would read at least three books a week. Reading became her obsession.
However, it wasn't until she took a college "Creative Writing" class, when her professor, Sean O'Connell took a likeness to her writing potential. He challenged her. His comments on her class assignment made her take her writing assignments further. "Forever and a Day" was her challenge and her 2013 writing debut.
Most story I have read never has a happy ending, which am glad this one does. I’m wondering if the other 2 books got written. “ lose to win” and if they not knew?
I gave this book five stars for the right to share this new word I learned - "hoodbilly". I'm not mad. I'm assuming it is the worst of the ghetto mixed with hillbilly.
Great follow up! I loved how we got to see the characters mature. They went through some things which is really how it is in life. Nothing better than a good relatable book. Good job Jas.
