How this man manages to sustain a living with such obvious plagiarism and deceit I do not know. This book shares no new insight or "secrets" and if anything only dumbed down ramblings for the highly uneducated and vulnerable. it should be renamed 'Common Sense For Dummies' though ironically that may be the only existing title this author did not steal content from.
This book serves no other purpose than as a business card for his mentor services of which are highly unmerited! The narcissism levels of this self proclaimed "world's leading mentor" (who note, fails to appear on any respectable list of most inspiring/motivating people) are almost as embarrassingly cringeworthy as his attempts to re-word well known quotes and phrases.
The sheer irony of a man who asks "Are you being the best version of yourself" when Mr Carter has taken what I can only assume are his "best bits" and paraphrased from many of the far superior books of this genere out there. He would have done better with the more honest and upfront use of the copy/paste command on this shockingly uninspiring, unoriginal and far from best attempt at a mentors guide.
Any good ratings of this book must be those of his highly enthusiastic PR team promoting such a thing. Though said team should probably have thought about looking into his embarrassingly low online social presence before claiming a title as worlds leading mentor. Anyone who puts a little research into this mans credentials will soon realise this is a title and mentor best avoided. Thankfully I got mine for free (from said PR team) and it has since served one good purpose, it was the best version of fuel for my fireplace a book could possibly be.
I can only assume this is for those who are new to such material, in which case you must have been quite the lucky one to have survived this far unaware of basic common sense values. Do not let such luck end with the purchase of this title.
I was looking for concrete ideas on how to work better and be utterly productive. Most of what he says are "motherhood statements" from which you have to derive your own activities of efficiency.
A new favourite. Practical and inspirational. Easy to implement. A must read for anyone who want to improve themselves and become the best version of yourself you can be.
It's not a real book, it's a long marketing pamphlet to tell you that you should pay thousands of dollars to go on a retreat with his mentoring company.
