Three linked stories set in the Land Rush and early days of Oklahoma's move to statehood.

To be fair, I read the first one, skimmed the second, and just checked the beginning and end of the third to see how it worked out. The stories were interesting but delivery was wordy and didn't hold me very well. I liked the lead characters well enough in the first one, and there was nifty plot twist (unusual topic & resolution for "prairie historicals") in the second but I ran out of steam.

Loved the first two books--beautiful stories! The third book was good, but a little too modern for my tastes. I'm not as interested in stories once cars, phones and electricity were invented. 1895 is normally the cap for my interests, but since it was part of a series, I read all three and the story was really good. I would definitely recommend this book to others!

The storyline was great. Being from Oklahoma it was interesting to have state history mixed with a love story. This being said, I felt like I was reading the same things over and over again. The first two stories were my favorite, but the last one was too modern for my tastes. The writing was okay, but like I said earlier I felt like I was having to reread parts over and over.

This book consisted of 3 stories, each one focusing on a different member of a family that was a part of the Oklahoma land run in 1889. I really enjoyed reading about this time in history, and the stories and characters were great. I would recommend this book.
