Preying Time

Rate this book
God calls a special woman to be a pastor s wife. The Reverend Randall C. Harris, pastor of a large and prominent church, seems to have it all. Handsome, charismatic, influential, and well loved by his congregation and his beautiful wife, Reverend Harris is deeply spiritual. He s involved in the community and dedicated to his church members especially the female members. Yes, I was a man of God, but first and foremost, I was a man. These words are Reverend Harris s rationale for the things he does that might not line up with Christian ethics. He truly believes he s entitled to pursue the delights of the flesh as long as he fulfills the duties of his ministry, but Reverend Harris will find that there are terrible consequences to pay when what should be praying time becomes preying time."

Pastor Randall Harris is a mess. He preys on women in the church, out of he church, young girls, he just doesn't care. Through it all, his wife Teri, never says a word and sticks by his side.

When he gets Grace pregnant, (or so she says) he has to find a way to make her get rid of the baby. He enlists Cee to help him. Cee beats Grace so bad, he puts her in the hospital.

It isn't until Pastor Harris is robbed and shot that he begins to mend his ways. After he comes out of the coma, he realizes God has given him another chance to get things right. He goes back and begins to make amends for his wrongs. He also goes to see his brother in prison, whom he hasn't seen in 15 years. Thank God for forgiveness.

When you think you can do whatever you want and stray away from God, he has a way of sitting you on your butt and making you realize, without him, you have nothing. Read: November 2014

This was my first read by this author. I must say that I will be reading other books by her. I loved this page turner. This book was about a pastor who preyed upon people. This story is about redemption and forgiveness. Will those individuals that the pastor preyed upon seek vengeance or will they forgive him? You must pick up a copy to find out.

Very good read. I think the first lady knows more than she lets on and this pastor needs deliverance! Things do turn around in the end but what a mess! I really enjoyed this novel and I will look for more by this author. Very good plot some things far fetched but overall great story!

This book was pretty good. Pastor Harris had a good wife but he still slept around with other women and he didn't care about the age. He sought out women who were vulnerable or sensitive. He took care of a young lady's schooling for sex. Another young lady lost her mother so he called himself comforting her. She ended up getting pregnant. When she refused to abort the pregnancy and tell her father, Pastor Harris paid a guy to beat her up to lose the baby but she almost lost her life. You would've thought after that incident he would stop cheating and change his wicked ways but oh no. It took him getting shot in the head and almost dying himself to bring about a change in him.

Preying time is a book that makes you think about what pastor's really thing about there title and how much it means to the people of the church. And the good Reverend Randall C. Harris had to learn the hard way, that what goes around comes back around. As mama said you would want to get a earthly whipping then to get a Godly Whipping. In the end he had time to Pray about all of the Preying time he done over the years, and thinking God for the wife that was put in his life though all of his Preying. I enjoyed the book and the message

Good christian fiction book. The preacher in story is reason a lot of people question some pastor's and their behaviors. This man was more than controlled by his flesh. Reminds you their is always a price for your actions.
