Harmony enjoyed her life as a courier for the Alliance, but it all came to a halt when she was sucked into a storm of light and gas that her computer could not see. Agony is her final thought, but when she wakes again, she finds that her body has been recreated because the original…the less said the better.

Nero has been working as a restorer for three hundred years on a world where the only new members of the population fall from the sky. He sees spirit in Harmony, and when she declares that she only wants him for his body, he is smitten.

They face the stars that brought them together and work in their different ways to bring their community into harmony with a world as trapped as they are.

I have made no secret in the past of being a die-hard hardcore Viola Grace fan. I really enjoy all her books, but this one blew. me. away. If this is the result of a vacation, I say more should be planned for Ms. Grace! Ms. Grace pours out novellas, at a remarkable rate, yet each one is unique and different. This one is definitely unique, with an amazing premise.

The Rift is a bit of a confusing place: it might take a little while for the reader to understand what is going on in this separate secret space in reality: think of it as a futuristic Bermuda Triangle. With clones. While you read this book; as I assure you, you must; stop and think for a moment about the premise. How would you react to the reality Harmony and the rest of the population faces? I honestly don’t think I’ve ever come across such a story before, and I am a very well read individual.

Anyway, enough. I thoroughly enjoyed both the premise of this book, as well as the actual story. It is a unique take on the possibilities of the Universe, with a HAE provided. Nero is quite the hero (no comment on the rhyming) with a rich history and backstory. There are some great unexpected twists (who is that singing? A secret dragon? Nero courting her?). I would highly recommend this book to any readers who enjoy the Sci-fi/Fantasy/HAE genre. If you are looking for something new and different, this is a great taste of what Ms. Grace is capable of! I don’t know how else to put it, except: Read this book!

I have to say this one was weirdly interesting and I think warrant more books to see how the whole rift thing goes...

Astonishing

I have been gobbling up Viola Grace tales lately. I complained to myself about how short they are. No longer. MS Grace can tell better tales in sixty pages than many authors can in three hundred. Her universe is completely original and I'm here for it. Brava
