Some friendships are meant to last forever.

Nicknamed the four musketeers since they met freshman year of college, Anna, Kat, Erin and Barbara’s friendship spans over fifteen years. Known as the tough one, Anna’s only dream was to escape her mother’s kitchen by setting the fashion world on fire. An ambitious executive for one of New York’s oldest department stores and engaged to an up-and-coming politician from an affluent old school family, her life’s dream seems to be coming true until Barbara and her husband are in a car crash sending Anna’s world into a tailspin.

When Anna makes a deathbed promise to protect Barbara’s daughter, with the help of her friends and the baby’s handsome godfather, Anna faces her greatest challenges. Learning how to care for a baby who can’t stand her is only the beginning.

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy-degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writers’ meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and making the finals in the Romance Writers of America’s prestigious Golden Heart contest, she now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion, plenty of surprises, and, of course, the happily ever after.

Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

4 best friends try to cope when one is hurt

4 best friends try to deal with the aftermath of a car accident that kills the husband of their friend, leaves her in fatal condition and names one of them the baby’s guardian. This story is about how lives change and adapt on the part of the baby, Marcia, Anna who is a hard working corporate executive and soon to be Marcia’s guardian and Mark who was Marcia’s godfather. As each of the friends react to the problems ahead, illness, challenges to guardianship, misunderstandings the story evolves.

Enjoyable writing, good characterizations, strong emphasis on family and motivations to hold on to the familiar while needing to change. All make for a good read and interesting ideas.

This is the first book that I've read by Chris Keniston, but it won't be the last. I was immediately drawn into the story about 4 girls who became best friends in college and continue to be best friends over the next few years. Even though they live far apart, they are still a big part of each other's lives. When a tragedy occurs to one of them, the others rush in to help. Working together to come to terms with the death of a friend and the baby she left behind, these girls realize that they didn't know everything about their deceased friend. Secrets that were not supposed to ever be told come to light and decisions must be made about what to do.
I was provided this audio book at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Fantastic book that will hook you from the start!

Champagne sisterhood is a story of 4 tight friends with some romance & suspense mixed into the storyline. It was realistic and touching in parts while the chemistry between Mark and Anna was palpable. Chris Keniston drew me into their world from the start and kept me there till the very end. This romance was a fantastic read and something everyone who loves romance, stories with strong bonds between the characters and a touch of suspense should check out. It will be worth it.

I love "friend" books and this one is amazing! The Champagne Sisterhood even better than Hope's Corner and that is saying a lot.

When tragedy strikes, true friends are there willing to give all that is needed. What an amazing group of friends these women are. If I say any more, I would probably create a spoiler. That is how complex the book gets. I do think that one secret should have come out sooner, but understand the reticence to break a promise.

I hope that this sisterhood becomes its own series.

Easy read.

A little too predictable. I liked how the sisters were fun; to watch how they interacted. But I thought it ended abruptly.
