The Great Transformation
'The Great Transformation: How understanding the human condition actually transforms the human race'
While the human race has had to live in denial of the unbearably depressing issue of our psychologically upset, soul-corrupted, ‘fallen’ human condition while we couldn’t explain and understand it, the levels of psychological distress and paralysis in society are now so great that people everywhere are accepting that humanity can’t go on the way it is going. Indeed, the great fear is we’re entering endgame where we appear to have lost the race between self-destruction and self-understanding — the race to find the redeeming, reconciling and psychologically healing understanding of our corrupted condition.
Well, what is so incredibly wonderful is that at the eleventh hour, humanity’s whole heroic journey of conscious thought and enquiry has finally led to the finding by Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith of that holy grail of insights of the redeeming and healing understanding of our corrupted condition!
HOWEVER, humanity is not yet in the clear — we still have to apply that understanding of the human condition to save ourselves from the near terminal levels of psychosis crippling the human race. What Jeremy Griffith and others present in this book/video is HOW that redeeming understanding IS able to save the human race by immediately transforming the life of every human from an unbearably human-condition-stricken existence to one that is effectively free of the human condition!

About the author
Jeremy Griffith
14 books284 followersJeremy Griffith (1945-) is an Australian biologist who has dedicated his life to bringing fully accountable, biological understanding to the dilemma of the human condition–the underlying issue in all human life of our species’ extraordinary capacity for what has been called ‘good’ and ‘evil’.
Born on December 1, 1945, and raised on a sheep station in rural New South Wales, Australia, Jeremy was educated at Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, a school whose visionary approach to education has produced such notable alumni as Rupert Murdoch and HRH The Prince of Wales. He matriculated with first class honors in biology and in 1965 began a science degree at the University of New England in northern New South Wales. While there, Jeremy played representative rugby union football, making the 1966 trials for the national team, the Wallabies. Deferring his studies in 1967, Jeremy undertook the most thorough investigation ever into the plight of the Tasmanian Tiger (thylacine) — a search that was to last more than six years, before concluding the ‘Tiger’ was indeed extinct. His findings were internationally reported, with articles appearing in the American Museum of Natural History’s journal, Natural History, and Australian Geographic. His search also featured in an episode of the national television series A Big Country.
In 1971 Jeremy completed his Bachelor of Science degree in zoology at the University of Sydney and the following year, in the same self-sufficient spirit with which he had undertaken the ‘Tiger’ search, he established Griffith Tablecraft, a highly successful furniture manufacturing business based on his own simple and natural designs, which pioneered the use of bark-to-bark slabs of timber. It was during this time that, at age 27, Jeremy realised that trying to save animals from extinction or trying to build ideal furniture wasn’t addressing the real issue behind the extraordinary imperfection in human life, which is our behaviour, and that what was really needed in the world was a deeper understanding of ourselves — so it was to this issue of our species’ less-than-ideal behaviour that Jeremy turned his attention.
Since 1975 Jeremy has spent the first, often pre-dawn, hours of each day thinking and writing about the human condition, and in 1983 he established the non-profit organisation FIX THE WORLD, which is dedicated to the study and amelioration of the human condition. The result of that dedication are his many articles and over 20 books about the human condition: including A Species In Denial (2003), which was a bestseller in Australia and New Zealand, and in 2016, his summa masterpiece book, FREEDOM: The End of the Human Condition. In 2020 he presented the one-hour video explanation of the human condition, the transcript of which is provided in the booklet, THE Interview; and in 2021 Jeremy wrote Death by Dogma to explain the extreme danger Marxist Critical Theory presents. 2025 brought The Human Condition, which is one of Jeremy Griffith’s three most important presentations, serving as a powerful short-in-length bridge between THE Interview and FREEDOM. It takes his human-race-saving insights to a new depth of clarity, so is a MUST READ!

Does exactly what it says on the cover! The more you digest and absorb the profundity of Jeremy Griffith’s work, the more you see how it will utterly transform the human race. If I was new to this critical new science, I wouldn’t start with this book (but with ‘THE Interview’ of Jeremy by broadcaster Craig Conway), but once familiar, this is highly recommended for a complete guide to the real and lasting transformation that has actually arrived for us all. The three sections are all instructive and inspirational, from Jeremy, from Tony Gowing and the testimonial from the Akritidis family.

I very much enjoyed this, it took me a while to get in to Griffith's ideas but his passion for humanity is infectious and 'The Great Transformation' gives a rational answer to our problems.

An optimistic view on the possibility of a great future for humanity if we can finally understand ourselves. Worth the read.

Wow! Something with a title that appears like another new age piece of rubbish so I held out little hope for anything of value. Anyway I decided to read for a laugh but by the end I had a whole new view on humanity and how it's possible to really change the world for the better. There's a lot of scientist types who have endorsed it as well as Jeremy Griffith's work is grounded in biological logic. Good stuff.

Consider this one a roadmap for the human race. It's that important.
This is a short, urgent and practical presentation from Jeremy Griffith. THE GREAT TRANSFORMATION distils his larger body of work (FREEDOM: The End Of The Human Condition) into a powerful, 90-odd-page brief on what comes next — how to actually live once the human condition is understood. It's a genuine roadmap for psychological rehabilitation—of the individual and of our species.
Griffith outlines two bottlenecks we face: the "Deaf Effect" (our response to resist any honest analysis at the human condition), and the increasing threat of terminal psychosis evident throughout the world. The analysis of both is clear, and at times, confronting. But the advice is simple: be patient with yourself, take the time to listen, consider, and absorb what is being said, and the insights and breakthrough will come.
The core of the book is the Transformed Way of Living (TLS). This is a clear, actionable way to live. Once the biological defence for our corrupted condition has been understood, our old compensations that we've relied on (aggrandisement, anger, alienation) become obsolete. Proving our worth is no longer neccessary, and we can start living a completely new existence. The tone is optimistic without being naïve, and the distinction from dogma or “fake-it-to-make-it” idealism is explicit.
Two inclusions are really helpful: Tony Gowing's candid reflection on how the transformation works, along with responses from a family of ordinary people outlining how this has impacted their lives and the family dynamic. Together they show this isn’t some abstract idea; it's practicle and powerful.
If you’ve engaged with Griffith's main works already (FREEDOM, THE Interview, or The Human Condition), then this is the manual you were waiting for.

This book was recommended to me by a friend. It's a short read but ambitious and deeply thoughtful. It tackles some of the most challenging questions about the human condition with great optimism. Griffith offers a unifying explanation of human behaviour that is both rigorous and emotionally reassuring. He invites readers to see themselves and others with greater compassion. The book’s strength lies in its hopeful tone — it doesn’t just diagnose humanity’s problems, it points toward genuine psychological relief and reconciliation. It’s a very encouraging read.

The best summary of what to expect in 'The Great Transformation' by Jeremy Griffith is in his own words in the introduction "SO WHAT I’M GOING TO BE PRESENTING IS THE ACTUAL ROAD MAP THAT EVERY HUMAN, AND THE HUMAN RACE AS A WHOLE, IS NOW ABLE TO FOLLOW FOR OUR SPECIES’ PSYCHOLOGICAL REHABILITATION. And I think everyone would agree that psychological rehabilitation is precisely what the human race now urgently needs!"

they’re pretty much saying in this whole “redeeming understanding” thing can totally flip life around for everyone - like, instead of feeling stuck in all that intense human-condition stuff, it can instantly make life way lighter and pretty much free of it altogether. I need to apply it more to see if it holds water but i'm inspired by the hope it brings.

The cover makes bold claims but I was surprised to find when I read 'The Great Transformation' by Jeremy Griffith, that he makes a perfectly logical argument about what's possible with a deeper understanding of our human condition. The world is such a mess so thank goodness someone like Griffith has discovered these first principle answers.

The Great Transformation by Jeremy Griffith gives more clarity on the way forward for humanity through the transformation that's possible with his biological understanding of the human condition. A worthwhile and optimistic read.

This is a wonderful read, developing his ideas even further, Jeremy Griffith gives a macro view of the potential for individual and societal change through a deeper, biological understanding of who we are as a species.

The Great Transformation by Jeremy Griffith gives an inspiring view for our future, great read!

Awesome read and full of hope for all of us and future generations.

If anything is going to launch a transformation of us humans then understanding ourselves is it. Griffith is on to something, let's pray it's not too late.

Loved it! This is a snippet from 'The Great Transformation' that I thought worth sharing as it gives a good idea of the overall theme. "While our species’ psychological rehabilitation will take a number of generations, what is so spectacularly wonderful is that having the redeeming understanding of our fundamental goodness immediately obsoletes our old artificial ways of defending ourselves against the implication that our corrupted condition meant we are bad and unworthy."
December 3, 2025
This is an ambitious and very optimistic work that seeks to address the deepest questions about human behavior and our capacity for change. Griffith presents his ideas with clarity and urgency, framing our specie’s struggles not as flaws to be condemned but as problems to be understood. The book’s strength lies in its hopeful tone and its offering of a unifying explanation that points toward reconciliation and progress. It is a very engaging and encouraging read for those interested in big-picture thinking about the human condition.
