Debbie Bliss presents 20 adorable new designs for babies and toddlers--from blankets and booties to cardigans, twin sets, and coats--all using soft, snuggly yarns.
This book is full of lovely patterns to knit for babies. I have knit those under 18 months. Easy to understand and follow. Debbie Bliss tends to have accurate patterns so I love buying her patterns.
-Stunning photography -Clear, easy to read patterns -Full detail on specific stitches and finishing -A selection of modern, sweet, cute, and practical baby patterns that you would probably never find in an older knitting book -Enough patterns to keep you busy and to accommodate newborns to toddlers in styles appropriate for both boys and girls
I made the baby shrug and am almost done with the teddy bear. I didn't use Debbie Bliss yarn, but I otherwise followed the patterns expressly, and I couldn't be more pleased. It is rare for me to find a book with so many patterns that I like.
Nice illustrations on techniques and tips. The finished projects look cute, but I've heard that the patterns are a little fussy to work from. I've made the two toned socks from this book and they weren't so bad. They were only a little confusing on the heel turn as this was my first attempt at socks.
Again, the patterns go up to 24 month sizes, which is great, and are apparently easy to understand. Haven't knitted any of them yet, but I will be substituting yarns to save on cash. There's a great Cable Yoke Jacket, a beautiful girls' Smock Coat, and an adorable Cable Sweater that I can't wait to get my needles around.
Sweet baby patterns, newborn to 24 months. I'm working on the cable blanket; the pattern includes a mistake so be sure to check for errata. The photography is beautiful but I wish that there were more pictures that included the entire piece. I turned to Ravelry for more complete and detailed examples of a few projects.
