So it’s been quite a few years since I read book #3 in this series, but it really only took me a few pages and I was right back in Rachel’s world of vampires and werewolves and warriors.

I enjoyed the easy way Rebecca writes and just how quickly I get sucked into the story. This has always been the way Rebecca writes (I think I’ve read about 18 of her books!!) this book was no different.

Where this one dragged for me, was the repetition of the history and internal dialogue Rachel kept having every damn step of the way. I understand needing to show conflicting emotions and trauma, but this became so boring I actually procrastinated reading.

This book could do with an edit to cut some of that repetition and it’d be easily a 4 star book. The action and fighting scenes were by far more entertaining.

Will I read book #5? Yep, if only to just see how this story ends. But I’m not going to rush.

A few things I noticed:

6% - …hoping to move around him (in) a timely manner.

61% - …Chad, and it’s s (delete s) a really…

98% - Thought (though) he’d hurt those I loved…

Fast, furious and full of imagination! Redemption by Rebecca Royce makes the reader part of the story, with its extremely well-developed and completely personable characters. I was drawn in immediately and felt like part of the “gang,” certainly the newcomer, but still able to see the camaraderie between each character. Filled with natural feeling dialogue, I could hear the voices speaking, as opposed to trying to feel their intent through words on the page.

Do I recommend this book, this series, I have to say, yes!

I received a review copy as part of the Redemption Tour stopping at Tome Tender December 1, 2013.

Reviewer’s note: Redemption does not stand alone, it is part of a series and should be read as such to be fully and fairly enjoyed!! I did not have that advantage, plan to correct that and still completely enjoyed this author's writing style!

Usually when I read a book, I sit down immediately & write a review. With all of the books in the Warrior series by Rebecca Royce, I have been unable to do this. It takes a while after finishing one of these books to really know what to say! My emotions were so stirred up that it took a while to assimilate my feelings.

When I finished the third book in the series, Subversive, I was heartbroken! Rachel had made the hardest choice of her life: in order to let some people in her life continue to live, she would be totally forgotten. Nobody in her former life would remember anything about her. I thought that was the last I would read of Rachel Clancy & her friends, but I was wrong

This book is aptly named in several ways, one of those being that Ms. Royce redeemed herself! These characters are so well-written & complex that I feel like I am a part of the story, not just reading about somebody else. This book is very fast paced & so full of twists in the story that I had to slow down & reread some portions. And, of course, Ms. Royce managed to break my heart a couple of times during this book with the death of one of my favorite characters & the ruination of another.

I love this series & look forward to the next book. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I absolutely love Rachel Clancy! She is a kick-butt heroine who doesn't let much get in the way of the decisions she has to make.

In Redemption, so much more is revealed to Rachel as well as the other characters, and nothing gets any easier for her.

Some time had passed since I read Subversive, so it took me a couple of chapters to get back into the world and remember who the secondary characters were and what had previously happened. It's definitely not a book that can be read on it's own without confusion. I recommend reading the previous books in the series before this one.

But, I did very much enjoy Redemption, and I already have Justice, the last book in the series. Anxious and yet sad to read it.

The Warrior Series by Rebecca Royce is the biggest roller coaster ride any book series has ever taken me on. EVER! Each book destroys every thing I thought to be true. Characters I adore take a turn at being awful; memories are not true; nothing is as it appears from one moment to the next! I love it! I've also never been more scared to turn a page. At any point someone may die or come back or try to kill Rachel. Rachel is the only constant in this series and she is magnificent.

Rachel made a deal with the devil himself, Icahn to bring back two of her loved ones; her mother and Chad Lyons. In return she had him erase her from everyone's memories. She lives at Redemption while life goes on at Genesis and in the wolf pack without any knowledge of her existence. After almost a year circumstances bring her back under the control of Genesis, back to people Rachel considers friends and family, back to people who consider her a stranger. And her friends aren't exactly the same as she left behind. It's heartbreaking.

The book alternates between present day Rachel and pre-Apocolypse Rachel. It's a fascinating way to shed light as to why her friends and family react the way they do; why certain friendships are strong and why others dislike one another. It's surreal to step into her once normal life, see her same friends, her parents, and know that at one time she was a typical teenage girl. Rachel struggles to make sense of her multiple pasts and reconcile them with the Rachel of today, the Rachel intent on destroying Icahn and his laboratory.

This is a thrilling, imaginative read with an incredible cast of characters. Chad and Micah Lyons, Deacon, and Jason all take a turn at competing for best Male Character, and sometimes for worst. The damage they do to Rachel's heart... Icahn is a most worthy opponent. He may be egomaniacal and cruel, but he is also brilliant. With the action and non-stop twists and turns, I was riveted. I am in awe of Rebecca Royce. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Damn things are really heating up in Redemption, book 4 in the warrior series. We've been with Rachel through thick and thin and some real shocking moments and things and so much action. The ending to book two left me heartbroken and book three shocked the hell out of me because i did not see that coming and stomped on my heart and broke it some more.

Redemption opens months down the track after Subversive and she is determined to track down Jason and his father and cut off Jason's. But she gets distracted from her task by those from Genesis that have forgotten her. That she opted to remove herself from their memories to make them happier. But really we all know Dr Ichan manipulated her.

She gets brought into Genesis and it's heartbreaking to see people she loved and shared so much with but don't know her. She knows something hinky is going on with Dr Icahn and family but it's not until she's in Genesis she see some of what he's up too and in determined Rachel Clancy she's going to bring him down. And she may have help there ;-)

I loved how we get a glimpse of Rachel's life pre apocalypse and we get to see how this all started. You can see it's all heading for a major showdown and I'm looking forward to see what badass Warrior Rachel has in store for us!

This series seriously just gets better and better! Again, I literally couldn't put this book down. I read it straight through, just like I did with the last book in this series. The plot is inventive and intriguing, the writing extraordinary, and the characters complex and well thought out. These characters, so passionate and authentic, they draw you completely into this fantastic story, making you believe in this post-Armageddon world where humanity fights for its very survival against the never ending onslaught of vicious vampires and werewolves. The surviving humans work to keep their sense of humanity and normalcy (such as it is) in tact in a constant state of attack. Their journey through this outrageously intense existence is one that is a true joy to read, even if it sometimes rips your heart out. This book is innovative and insightful, impassioned and exciting, romantic and touching, and engaging and enthralling. I would highly recommend this book and this entire series to anyone looking for a riveting and compelling read.

Because book 3 ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, I was eventually driven to read Redemption, just to find out what had happened. However, it was a mess. Rachel was furious at the men around her (and there were numerous!) for all kinds of things that were completely outside of their control. There was barely any progression of the plot, just lots of descriptions of Deacon's, Chad's, and Jason's faces and expressions and appearances. This book wasn't even engaging. I was constantly interrupted in my reading by laughing at the main character's stupidity or how the author would add in objects (like bombs!) to use last minute, without mentioning them pages and pages before. At first, I thought the concept of these books was entertaining, but they clearly reflect the amount of time spent writing and editing them. I will not continue. Very shoddy work.

Good grief, Rachel and her merry band of Warriors continue to fight the Forces of Darkness AKA FOD (my nickname for the Icahns and their followers).

It's been six months since book 3, Subversive ended, when my little heart broke when Rachel saved her friends lives and then subjected herself to self imposed isolation from all those she held dear. But when you have a destiny laid out for you it's hard to shake it off.

There are all sorts of redemption at play here but also some new forms of treachery and treason, from someone I did not see coming! Let's just say keep your head on the swivel reading this book cos you never know when there will be a whammy! There is more loss for Rachel to face and I just don't know how this girl keeps on going.

I'm kind of sad to know that the next book is the last but I'm hoping all the little threads get ties up cos I cannot wait to see how this ends!

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily decided to review it

This book takes up where book three left off, Rachel had herself wiped from all her friends and family's minds to save those she loves. This story flips between then, and what life was like then, and now. The writer really draws you in to every aspect of the story, and how Rachel copes with it all. The story is exciting, exhilarating and the series has for better and better (if that's even possible with how good it started)

The is series is awesome and this book had me on the edge of my seat. I need to read the final book five and see what happens, I highly recommend you lose yourself in this fabulous series

REDEMPTION

Another awesome and entertaining read. The author has once again done a fantastic job with its well developed and creative storyline. I loved the characters who were strong, likable and very charming. This fast paced story was very easy to get into, and it's full of twists and turns. This is such a complex and exciting story that just gets better and more intense. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This literally took me months to read but only because it was during an incredibly busy time: the start of the school year, school and club soccer, a hurricane and moving. I had to keep checking it out at the library. And the fact that there are five books in one. It was complex and not perfect by any means but it was interesting and I liked it. I’m guessing it was one of Royce’s first books because it’s very different from all the others.

This story features Rachel Clancy an intelligent, audacious, 17 year old genetically born Warrior; Jason, a strapping wolf-shifter, Deacon, a gorgeous, powerful Warrior, Micah, a stoic warrior and Chad's brother, Chad, a strapping warrior, Icahn, the madman that started Genesis.

What you'll find in this story; a cast of amazing, powerful, impressive and engaging characters, magnificent story-line, fascinating vivid scene descriptions, fabulous banter, pent-up rage, emotions spiral, gut-wrenching moments, life threatening incidents, camaraderie, betrayal, werewolves, vampires, intrigue, gripping suspense, romance, a heroic deed, and a heart-felt conclusion that leaves you awe-struck wanting the answers you desire.

Rachel has flashbacks of living with her parents and having a blissful life as a happy teenager. Her life now consists of constant fighting to stay alive. When she is sent on a mission for Icahn, she is confronted with her warrior friends who have absolutely no memory of her existence which shatters her heart.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE fast paced well written read by a genuinely creative author. I relished this story; an exhilarating, emotional, gratifying read from beginning to end. The characters are convincing and certainly praise-worthy. Rachel has the heart of a lion and continues to take life threatening risks to end the madness that Icahn has created. I eagerly await the next book in this captivating series. If you treasure paranormal fantasy this is an excellent choice for your library. {I was given a copy of this book for a completely truthful review}. In the world of paranormal fantasy the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations I highly recommend this book and series.

Know from the outset that this is not my typical genre. I am not a fan of werewolves nor vampires. In addition to this, I have not read the other books in the series, but the author did a fantastic job of filling in the details I was missing. I also do not like this book being targeted to young adults (it would seem that is the intended audience) since there is plenty of profanity throughout the book. I am grateful, however, that there was no premarital sex--in fact, none whatsoever. It was discussed but not acted upon.

Now that the negatives are out of the way, permit me to tell you what you will find in this book. I was never bored, and I found that the book followed a logical formula for this style of book. It has science fiction, romance, a very confused heroine, and much more. The book is a quick read, and I would recommend reading the entire series just so you can understand exactly what happened in the other books.

Because I am far from the targeted audience, I found myself rolling my eyes at Rachel on more than one occasion. The ending is somewhat inconclusive, and I believe it leaves the window open for another book in the series. Even though it is not my cup of tea, there is enough in it that fans of this genre would like--hence, my rating.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Oh my this author is killing me it is that good. Every time I leave I am sucked down under right away like if I just stepped out for a moment. Oh the things Rachel has learned by now with discoveries forced on her at times. But some things done unnaturally does not mean things will not come to the surface. She is now remembering piece by piece the time before it all got crazy. Jason is also one you will growl at especially when you find out more of the pieces. In this one though I do feel a little sad for her at the beginning thanks to the choices she has made. She still is given a mission, just by a different director. Darren goes with her and it is off to another time for her in all this craziness. When things go alittle array she tries to get away but it would seem she is to face her decisions one more time. Anticipation and the thrill of each moment as you read the path it now takes you. Bittersweet also when some things can not stay buried especially between those near and dear. She still has her own mission in mind and adapts it as she goes when forces causes her to rethink things. The main goal is still there but now she is not quite alone. She does keep the element of surprise alive and well in this novel. Some of the best parts for me where though learning the past, the true past before it all went to double hockey stick. Love is alive and well in many corners with the monsters still to be illuminated. Love will even lay down its life for one special lady-Rachel.

This is a wonderfully complex story, bouncing back from "the-time-before" (right before the world ended), and present day. There is loss and anger and desperation, discovery, reconnection and betrayal. There are still some issues in the telling of the story: some important questions as to why and how are glossed over, and Rachel is as fleeting and fickle in her love for four different guys as ever. But I will say that this was more well-written than books two and three, which I found myself scanning through a good portion of. I'm so glad that we were allowed to have so much insight into who they all were in 'the time before', especially to understand who Jason was and what their relationship had been. Also to be able to see the spark between her and Chad. It gave you a sense of closure in the very end. Again, things weren't as powerful as they should have been, but I'm wondering now if part of that is because each of these books deserve to be twice as long as they are (averaging about 150-175 pages each), for as much ground as they cover, story-wise. There simply isn't enough page-space to allow the characters to grow organically and develop these feelings over time; the investment of which allows the reader to become as emotionally shattered as the characters are or should be. I'm invested in seeing how this story ends, I just wish that it was more complete and visceral in its emotions and details.

I received this for an honest review and I totally love this series. Each book keeps you hooked from start to finish.

This book picks up 6mths after the last one and Rachel's whole world has changed, she made the ultimate sacrifice to bring the man she loved back from the dead but he is living his life with all her friends and people she cared about without a memory of her or with her. She is stuck with the man that caused it all.

She strikes a deal that she gets to killJason and when she's trying to carry this out she bumps into the people she loves most, Deacon and Chad. Her heart is broken with them not knowing her, even though she knew they wouldn't, she hoped seeing her would spark some recognition. They take her back to Genisis and she is broken hearted even further when she comes face to face with her mother. Seeing everyone she loves and not having even a peace of them remember you Almost destroys her but Tia remembers it all.

Rachel tries to fight back and wants to take the man and facility down who is playing with their lives. Nothing goes to plan and she's betrayed by someone she loved and trusted and saved by someone who had done nothing but lie to her

Her faith is restored when her family and friends start to remember things and put their trust back into her again

Love this series and can't wait to read the next one

Just when you think it couldn't get any better. Ms. Royce has created a world that captures your mind and pulls you into the journey of a life time. Punishing herself and allowing her friends to live by making a deal with the devil turns out to be harder then she thought. Rachel has a plan and has been working toward her goal for six months when things suddenly go to crap. Her memories from before are surfacing and it is hard to know what is real and what was implanted . Encountering the people she sacrificed for puts a wrench in her plans as she struggles with how to explain who she is and what has happened. There is a lot of information in this segment and not everything is a happy memory. As each character struggles with the information they are given the danger increases. Friends become enemies, heartache, loss and betrayal bring your emotions to the surface and tears to your eyes. Rachel's character has grown so much in this series. Her choices, actions and the loyalty she feels for her friends and family is truly remarkable. She is a very kick as#@ heroin and I would not like to be on her bad side. Well written, flows smoothly, engaging and very entertaining. I look forward to seeing what the next adventure holds. I was given an ARC for an honest review

he things you learn in this book answers all the questions that I had running through my head in the first three books. Now that we know why this all happened and Rachel’s decision to erase herself from Genesis, what is she going to do? What does this all mean for her friends and family back home? What was her life like in the past? How were they all connected in the past? Everything makes more sense now!

Again, Rachel kicked butt in this book like she always does. She felt very military in some ways but she wasn’t hardened by what she has gone through, she showed a good range of emotions.

I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to ruin any of the wonderful surprises that Royce has in store but it was a great read. I particularly loved how Rachel stepped up to the plate throughout the book and was ready to do what was necessary. And I loved when her old friends came into the mix, which felt like it jolted Rachel’s axis a little.

I believe that Royce has left the book open for a fifth installment and all you will hear from me is cheering when I get the book in my hands!

I got this ARC copy for an honest review and I have been enjoying reading the series so far and the author is very inspiring with her writing that I gave it 5 stars.

The story continues that Rachel Clancy made a decision to erase herself from the lives of her family and friends to free herself to make hard decisions! Now she is along in a world of strangers. This time the story goes back and forth as well it is told through Rachel's eyes. Here it explains a little more of her life from before the monsters came into being. Then she learns that man is to blame because man were the ones that made the Vampires and destroyed their own society plus they also learned how to clone people. Later former friends also become enemies. Rachel decides to plan on killing the evil scientist Dr. Icahn so he can't clone any more people, but she must also kill Jason.

Wow this has so much excitement and it was so entertaining to read so what are you waiting for?

Redemption was absolutely thrilling. It's the fourth book in the Warrior Series and it has not lost my attention once. The story continues through Rachel's life and begins to explain more of her life before the monsters came into being. She made a deal with the man in charge, who is out for his own gain, and has him brainwash all of her family and friends into forgetting her because she thinks it is best for everyone. Through a series of circumstances she is thrust back into their presence, but they treat her as a prisoner since they can't remember her. She tells her closest friends about what has happened and they all react in very different ways.
This book was great. I have throughly enjoyed this series so far and I can't wait for the next one. It captures your attention and keeps it with all of the new discoveries and adventures going on.

My Thoughts:
I enjoyed the story. The characters are well made and the action keeps you going. The author has created a world that is unique from what I have found. The authors tremendous imagination comes out in all facets of the story ~ the character development, the setting, story building and the plot. Many times I felt my heart go out to Rachel and wonder at the reality that had become her world. I liked how the chapters went from then to now and back, bringing the story a depth that would have been missing in any other format. I found that I was wishing I had read the stories in order, but alas did not have time in my crazy reading schedule to read the first volumes. I am hoping to find that time in the near future so that I can catch up on all that I missed.
