I received a free copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

Drugged up for disobeying Dr. Malachi, Deyrl isn’t doing so great. In a fit of desperation, he accidentally teleports himself and Joshua to Kanaan, the world that everyone in the asylum believed to be a mere hallucination. However, his welcome is mixed, and he still has an enemy from whom he has not yet escaped...

Mind Over Psyche follows Mind Over Mind well, changing up the setting and plot. We miss a few characters from the first instalment but new ones enter in the form of the inhabitants of Kanaan. Both Deryl and Joshua have a lot to learn about this world as well as themselves.

I love Joshua’s references to Anne McCaffrey and A Wrinkle in Time, among other examples of science-fiction and fantasy literature. I also couldn’t help but notice that one of the characters, Salgoud, is almost “Douglas” backwards. (It jumped out at me because I know someone named Douglas, and we used to sound out our first and last names backwards for fun – Coincidence?).

The ending reminded me

Overall, another excellent read. 4.5 stars.

YEP! I certainly give this book 5 Stars!

I enjoyed getting lost inside the world that is Kanaan!

Karina has done it again! A brilliant, vivid, imaginative, and thrilling sequel to Mind Over Mind (the first in what looks to be a trilogy- or more maybe?).

Karina takes us on an intergalactic teleportation ride as Deryl, in a fit of hysteria, suddenly whisks Joshua off to another planet. They wake up on Kanaan where Deryl’s Miscra is waiting for him to teach them how to use psychic abilities to wage and hopefully win their war against an oncoming foe. The oncoming battle threatens to rip Kanaan apart along with the mind of its Miscra! Deryl has a tough choice to make and one that will ultimately decide his fate- but the trick is staying sane and surviving long enough to make that choice!

Filled with drama and nail biting suspense; this book kept me guessing till the very end and all the while mesmerized by the amazing world that Karina has designed for her characters! Mind Over Psyche is the second book to Mind Over Mind and I STILL couldn’t put it down. I am waiting anxiously for the third book! Whether you are a science fiction fanatic or you are just looking for a good book to read, I believe sci- fi fans and non sci- fi fans alike are certain to be entertained!

This is the second in what's promised to be a trilogy. (I'm holding the author to it.) It was every bit as good as the first one, Mind Over Mind (which made my Top Fiction of 2011 List).

I was sucked in from the very beginning, and though it had been a few years since I read the first one (and I had forgotten plenty of the details), I fared just fine (and couldn't put it down all the same).

The adventure is unbelievable and yet, in creating a new world, Fabian points us to truths we almost miss that we notice. What is love? And what does it mean to communicate?

And how in the world do you travel across space and time?

But wait, it's not all geeky sci-fi, I promise (though the geeky sci-fi fans should enjoy it). I think this book is really, at its heart, an examination of relationships and what it means to be person. Dare I suggest that Fabian is exploring the dignity of the person?

Well, whatever. It's a darn good read I couldn't put down. I hated finishing it, because I'm guessing I'll have to wait another couple of years for the final installment...

This is a good follow-up to Mind Over Mind. It stands alone and it answers many of the questions raised in the first book. It is a much wilder ride than the first book, taking the reader across the galaxy and possibly through time.
