Kobo. A story of the Russo-Japanese War (1905). This book, "Kobo," by Herbert Strang, is a replication of a book originally published before 1905. It has been restored by human beings, page by page, so that you may enjoy it in a form as close to the original as possible.
'Herbert Strang' was a pseudonym used by George Herbert Ely (1866–1958) and Charles James L'Estrange (1867–1947), co-editors in the Juveniles Department of Oxford University Press from 1907 until 1939, and the authors of adventure stories for boys.
When I initially found this book on the Project Gutenberg website, I thought it was a history book. I was surprised when I discovered it was a fictional story about the Japanese - Russian war as the backdrop. I savored this book. The story was well-told and the characters were endearing. I recommend this one.
