I was excited when I saw what this book was about. Unfortunately, although the stories are amazing ones of courage, love, and acceptance, the book's sappy style is definitely a turn-off for those who have read and dislike self-help books. More of a Chicken Soup for the Ally's Soul than a good non-fictional account of the lives that are a part of the Allies Movement.
This is a very powerful book about people who are straight who are friends and family of gays. Each chapter reveals another story of love. Some tell of children, others of siblings or parents. Each is supportive and lovely.
