I'm a Londoner, though now I live in Devon, a twenty-minute walk from the sea. I love nothing more than walking my pretty Cavapoo on the beach in the rain (well, OK, I don't object to the sun, but when it's raining we usually have the whole beach to ourselves.)

Back in the day I had 25 novels published by Mills&Boon. After a long gap doing other things I found my love of writing again, and self-published three new novels.

But I knew that to reach more readers I needed an established publisher. Step in Joffe Books. They were top of my list so I was delighted when they accepted the first novel I sent them.

This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

I was continuously grinding my teeth throughout the middle of this book.
Heroine, Megan was the other woman in this book. She didn’t have any self respect or self preservation. She deserved all the hurt she got. And hero he cruelly used her desires to manipulate her. She never once rejected his advances. For god-sake Theo called her ‘his plaything’ during their intimate moments. But what made me hate them so much was, Theo got engaged to his cousin Eleni and the same night he came to Megan’s room. Did Megan reject his kissing or groping. Absolutely not. She was a shameless hussy. My heart was beating hard thinking they are going ‘all the way’. I was also chanting don’t do this.. please don’t do this.!
It would’ve helped wildly if we had known the actual state of his engagement. But we only came to know it at last. After Theo called her his plaything again, after he asked her to become his mistress, And after she shamelessly agreed to it without any thought about Eleni. I can’t respect my heroine if she can’t bother to care about another women’s pain.

And when her consciousness reminded her of conducting their affair in broad daylight infront of his household staffs, her reasoning about if Theo doesn’t care about it then why should she do it and if Eleni came to know about it perhaps it would do her a favor if she was forced to see what life would be if she went ahead with the travesty of marriage!! Like I said Disgusting. And she also rudely judged Eleni because of her jealousy. Lets not forget that Eleni is 19 and Megan 29.

I also skipped all intimate scenes because in my mind he was engaged. And when at last Megan’s outrage came I already hated her and didn’t care anymore. The only plus point in this book was Theo’s father.

The hero is a pig. And the heroine was just stupid. She had sex with him after he got engaged!!! And even said when you get married this is over. Just wasn't my kind of story. She pretended to be a gold digger while being a nurse to his Grandfather who came off as a controlling freak. I just couldn't get over the whole tbing. Then after he's kissed her, he's announcing his engagement to a young girl right in front of her!I just hated both of them and they deserve each other. At the end he was really depressed and the grandfather had come and got her so he would be happy again. Barf. Oh well. I don't know why I keep reading this author because 80% of the time I hate them. Why I ever started reading Harlequin anyway is a need for self torture I think. And this book just was just a bore!

I really enjoyed this book, I loved the fact that the heroine wasn't a wallflower and stood her ground, she wasn't intimidated by the circumstances but was intelligent enough to know her needs and go for it, at the end I really didn't get why she was so scared to forgive him, he didn't do something so wrong and he was actually forgiven for doubt her in the beginning, he knew he was wrong and actually asked her to forgive him,she was a little harsh when she let him go.
The hero was actually real, he thought she was a gold digger and he stood his ground for a while but it's not clear if he spoke to his father to confirm her story.
His father was awesome, always making the better of every situation and keeping at bay those gold diggers of relatives.
This was a good book, easy to read and made me laugh in some parts.

I liked the book. Though it has one element that really puts me off - The whole mistress concept.

I cant bring myself to digest a hero who looks upon the girl as fit to be a mistress, not a wife, till the end of the book.

But in this book, he really does some serious chasing and pleading in the end. So that redeemed the book in my opinion.

The sex scenes are quite graphic but enjoyable, although doing it at national monuments is a bit far fetched I'd say !

Good , fun read.
