Not as good as last volume; tons of place setting for the climactic volume to come (update - next volume is the second to last, whoops). But we do get some great stuff in here, it just doesn’t land quite as well. Lots of interesting developments, although I think we can safely agree that Milo-sensei should be fired twice over by now at the very least.
Nina and Momoko are the two with the most unresolved at this point, so it will be interesting to see what happens. I really don’t see Momoko getting a happy ending the way things stand, and that’s a bummer since I feel she’s had it the hardest of anybody in the series.
Elsewhere, Kasuza gets some fun moments with Izumi as they move to being a couple, lots of believable awkwardness there and the way it’s portrayed is very well written. Overall a solid volume of a very consistent series.

I got this with my PangoBooks order to make the free shipping mark and it is the only one I've read in the series. Surprisingly, I wasn't too confused when reading it even though it is the sixth in the series. I had to look up the main characters names and pictures to keep things straight at the beginning, but that's it.
I liked that this dealt a lot with teenage girl's feelings toward love and sexuality. I didn't understand all of the background of the relationships in the book, so I will probably pick up the other ones in the series to start from the beginning, or watch the anime if I can't find the manga at the library.
Obviously, updates to come once I've read the rest!

...Okay, so. My issue isn't that Nina wants to fight for Izumi. That's fine, because you can't always help who you love and of COURSE you want to do whatever you can to be with that person. No, my issue...is how underhandedly she's going about it. She's really not acting like a friend at all here--to Azusa OR to Izumi. I mean...if she DOES steal him away like this, it's really only going to hurt him, and their relationship definitely won't last because he'll feel betrayed. Every time he sees Nina, he'll think of Azusa and how he hurt her, and he's cared about Azusa for so long that it'll be devastating to him. I don't know, I just believe that if you really love someone, you want them to be happy, even if that means they're aren't happy with you. Nina is just being selfish right now and calling it 'love' (though...she's still very young, especially emotionally, so selfishness is somewhat to be expected). The way she's doing things won't make anyone happy in the end, and it's a bloody foolish way to end three perfectly good friendships.

Ufff quin patiment, la trama es complica i de quina manera!!! Tot semblava començar bé, però aquestes adolescents són imprevisibles i estan plenes de contradiccions. Tinc l'ai al cor amb la Hongo, no veig manera que acabi bé aquest sidral... Després està la Niina, amb una autoestima nul·la, que no entenc a què juga. S'està autodestruint per despit del profe de teatre? Què li passa pel cap? I la pobra Momoko, si us plau ho demano PARFAVAR que tingui final feliç, que ja n'hi ha prou de tantes tragèdies LGBTIQ+ als instituts!!!

1. El profesor se dice cobarde por no hacer cosas cochinas con una estudiante. Señor. Usted debió de ignorarla el momento que supo que ella mintió con su edad en un sitio de chats de gente mayor de edad. No seguirle el delirio de ella de estrenar su flor. De sentir que la otra maestra es competencia, de sentirse "menos mujer" y no atractiva por q el MAESTRO no le tira bola.
2. La sugawara o como se diga es una MIERDA. Que tenga sentimientos con el novio de su amiga es una cosa. Pero que siga y siga con él no. (Y lo peor es q por el momento me insinúan que él siente algo aunque sea mínimo por ella, a pesar q tenga a su novia amiga de la infancia.)
Que en el tren, que cuando la manosea un cochino, ella busca ayuda al Man, al Izumi, novio de su amiga, para q la defienda, PERO AL MISMO TIEMPO APROVECHA Y LO HACE MANOSEARLA A ELLA.
Y luego cuando él se aparta por q dice hey tengo novia, te pasas de lanza. ella lo sigue para preguntarle q q paso que si ella no es lo suficientemente atractiva para el. Y el le dice no. No permito eso. Tu te enojas y luego sacas la fea y le dice q por q su pilin estaba activo.
Bicha.
Te han tratado tanto tiempo como UN OBJETO, que ahora no te importa ni TRATARTE A TI MISMA ASI.
Piensas q la gente es como te han tratado, según su antojo. Entonces quieres tratarlo a él como se te dé la gana.

3. Las únicas historias q valen la pena, q hasta parecen normales en este cumbia de ANORMALIDADES (y les digo así por q el manga te lo trata de PUTO ROMANTIZAR. La chica autora adolescente con su maestro, con lo q le escribía al editor, con las nulas consecuencias de ella en un sitio NO para menores de edad. Y la otra chica bella, angelical q todos aman, que fue groomeada por un viejo, pero te lo ponen como no pasa nada por q no me tocó. ME VALE VERGAAAAAA. Y pones un beso q ella le da al viejo. No es q siquiera q siga en su vida y q el manga lo plantee como algo normal, ni en planos terroríficos ni de susto.).
La chica de trenzas q se dio cuenta q le gustan las chicas. (Que no te vayas con la perra de la sugawara porfa)
La chica con su amigo de infancia y el shock de darse cuenta q tanto ella como el piensan en sexo.
Y la chica ama reglas q medio le hacen bulling por fea y q no la aguantan y tiene resentimiento a todos y a las parejas, q llega un chico q la quiere como es (q pa mi me caga q solo fueron amables con ella después del cambio de look. Sinvergüenzas.) ojalá el romance fuese con ella sin el cambio o con el y venganza o consecuencias a las q la molestaban.

Aviso: esta reseña contiene spoilers sobre los 6 primeros tomos de Nuestra Salvaje juventud, ya reseñados. Este es un manga muy disfrutable sobre un grupo de adolescentes que toca temas como la sexualidad, aceptarse a uno mismo y lo difícil que puede ser crecer.
Izumi, el amigo de la infancia de Kazusa, se le declara y empiezan a salir. Mientras ella celebra la situación, los “instintos” de cada una de sus amigas empiezan a despertar. Creando nuevos vínculos, descubriendo sentimientos nuevos, afrontando retos finales… La noche decisiva que marcará un punto de inflexión en sus vidas da comienzo.
Si bien el anterior tomo estuvo cargado de emoción y te deja con un sentimiento de calidez, en este sucede un poco lo contrario. Comenzando de forma pausada y presentándonos a la feliz pareja de Izumi y Kazusa, pronto vemos que las otras chicas tienen que lidiar con varios problemas. Dejando un poco de lado a Rika, aparece de forma más esporádica, la acción se divide entre el resto de chicas, cada una viviendo un momento diferente.
Por un lado, Kazusa está indecisa sobre cómo debe comportarse ahora con Izumi, generando momentos divertidos e incómodos entre ellos que son los que relajan la trama. Mientras, Momoko se encuentra perdida, sin saber qué hacer sobre ella misma y sobre los sentimientos que afloran en su interior. Niina se muestra egoísta en sus sentimientos sobre Izumi, comportándose de una forma que traiciona su amistad con Kazusa, a pesar de que puedes llegar a comprenderla. Por último, Hongo se decide a intentar algo con su profesor, a pesar de todos sus rechazos, lo que la llevará a crecer por fin.
El final de este tomo es un tanto doloroso. Si bien se ve un crecimiento por parte de todas, la actitud de Niina deja bastante que desear, y no puedo dejar de sentir algo de lástima por Momoko y Hongo. Mientras, Rika y Kazusa parecen haber encontrado su camino, ambas acompañadas de unas tiernas parejas que las respetan y están dispuestas a cuidar de ellas.

Holy shit, this volume hit me WAY too hard in the feels, I think I may need to see a doctor...
It's funny that the first thing that came to mind upon completing this volume is, "Damn, I'm so glad I started this series." At first, I though this was going to be a standard rom-com about girls thinking about sex, and HOLY SHIT was I wrong! This series is primarily about that, but it deals with SO MUCH ELSE that it's kind of incredible how it can be packaged in one short series (it's only 8 volumes long). There are so many things that can be discussed in this volume, but for the sake of not spoiling too much (and this review not being ten pages long) here are my cliffnote thoughts:
1. Momoko deserved better and I want to wrap her up in a blanket and protect her from all the terrible things in this world.
2. Sugiwara character development AND self-awareness?! *faints in shock*
3. Kazusa and Izumi are so damn cute and precious, I'm so glad they get to be happy for once.
4. Poor Hongo, my poor confused baby, it's gonna be okay sweetie!
5. Sonezaki and Amagi are best couple FUCKING FIGHT ME, BITCHES!
6. Ohhhhh no, shit's gonna go down in the next volume and it's gonna be reaaaal baaaad...
Anyway, this was a great volume that hit me consistently hard in the feels. Loved it, can't wait for the next one!

The most powerful volume yet. Mari Okada and Nao Emoto in words and pictures, respectively, are quite adept at channeling the confusion, awkwardness, and broken communication of those hormone plagued, early, post-pubescent moments. As hopeful and heartwarming as the last volume was, this one gives the whole cast a hard slap in the face with a cold fish. Such melancholy on display in this one. So, so good!

A dos tomos de terminar la colección y justo en el punto de inflexión de la trama, la historia sigue por un camino más o menos esperable, algo que no es para nada negativo si no todo lo contrario. Puede que la trama de Hongo sea la más polémica, pero creo que se trata desde el enfoque más adecuado posible, lo que le quita todo el cringe.Veremos como acaba todo lo demás.

Llevo toda la serie pensando “que se líen entre ellas”, así que como comprenderéis, el final del tomo me ha hecho un poco feliz. Ahora solo falta que de verdad sugawara y momoko terminen juntas. Ojalá! 💖

So many emotions in this volume.
Sugiwara, weren’t you the one who said sex and emotion are two different things? Then why would you think that Izumi would reciprocate your feelings just because you put sex on the table??? I’m not mad at Izumi. It’s completely natural to be turned on after being so close to a girl… especially during puberty.
Hongo did the wrong thing, trying to blackmail Yamagishi like that. Hongo made it seem like she just wanted this last hoorah but we all know she just thought he might love her back if they had sex. Who would’ve thought that there would be an emotional scene after all that?
Momo didn’t deserve to be called names by Sugimoto but she really should’ve told him in private that she wasn’t into him. I don’t understand how her shaking after a person grabbed her aggressively makes her a freak though (yeah I know it’s because it’s a GUY who grabbed her and she might possibly be gay)… Lol at Sugiwara craving attention and Momo confessing to her… That’s not the attention she wanted. She’s in love with Izumi. She’s so used to attention and doesn’t know what to do since Izumi isn’t reciprocating. Also, her situation with Saegusa (which is strange and gross) has got her messed up!
And meanwhile, Sonezaki and Kasuza are giddy in love and I’m happy for them! The end lol

As coisas certamente estão ficando mais complicadas, assim os meus queridinhos Sonezaki e Amagi tão ótimos, a Hongo e o professor espero que termine aqui nesse volume. Agora… aquele quadrado amoroso q tá rolando com a Sugawara, Kazusa,Izumi, e Momo pelo amor de Deus aquilo é fofoca pura, tô feliz pela Momo que pelo menos admitiu que gosta de garotas, agora a Sugawara ela aparece perto do Izumi já me dá um nervoso sla não esperava todo esse rolê mega talarica dela, mas vamos ver pra onde tá indo.
