I loved the book. It presents a very realistic step-by-step process on how to follow God's leading in your life and how to fulfill His destiny for your life. I loved the tools section, in particular, where Bro. Schmidt goes through some important things a teenager and young adult need in their life. This is a book that I strongly recommend for every young adult and teenager. The Lord spoke to me so much while reading this book. Among the things I learned was what seeking the Lord really means and entails and how important it is in a Christian's life.

Great author! I love the way he uses every day stories with his kids and makes them into good examples. I also love his other book Hook Line and Sinker.

A book filled with incredibly helpful advice for making decisions and seeking God's will for your life, both for the bigger picture and the everyday minute details of life.

Schmidt shares 5 tools you'll need:
A serious/sober mind
A pure heart
A courageous spirit
The wisdom of God
And a heart of faith

And 4 principles to guide you:
Refuse to trust yourself
Seek and surrender to God's will
Truly pray about your decisions
Seek Godly counsel, and take it

Some things I want to remember from this book are: I don't have the ability to make the right choices and live life well on my own, I need God, and I need godly support; God's plans for my life will not be clear most of the time, I'll have to trust him and be willing to take many steps into the unknown as I follow him; lastly, should I follow God the life he has planned for me will be more amazing and wonderful than I can imagine.

A quote from page 118: "Most would say "show me, and I'll believe" God says "believe, and I'll show you".

This book did not mince words, but painted a clear picture of what is at stake in making life decisions with and apart from God. It left me with some helpful tools and ideas for how to best approach devoting my life to the God of the universe.
