This is my all time favorite Punjabi book. Mera Pind describes the rural life of Punjab very aptly and in great details. This is the best book if one wants to know about the way rural society in Punjab used to function two generations ago, including the cultural rituals, behavior and various aspects of people's life. The author makes the book a very natural read, keeping it humorous at times.
