I love this read. I love Kotoko. She is such a fighter. Naoki (I love to call him Irie-kun) is a smart, but cold guy. However, I love his character as well. In this volume, Irie-kun takes Kotoko to the place where he grew up as a child. He introduces her to his family especially his grandfather. His grandfather is not happy with the fact that Irie-kun is married. Therefore, he thinks it is in his duty to give Kotoko chores that he and his other family members have. This was when I see how Irie-kun grew up and it is interesting. Also, I loved how the grandfather eventually accepted her because of his great-grandfather accepting her. It was hilarious when she confronted him.
However, I think it was Kotoko's fighting spirit that made this book. I love her character because although she is clumsy, she does whatever she is able to do with all her might and never lets anyone down. I think this is what Irie-kun loves the most. It's the fact that he may be able to do 90% of things she can't, but the 10% she is able to do, she does it with unique perfection. That's a rare quality and I love how she is able to do things to the best of her ability. She's a true fighter who would do anything for the people she loves especially Irie-kun. Overall, a funny and cute read.
