Rate this book
Evil breeds evil. After Kerrick Khumalo s wife is murdered in their home, he migrates from Africa to America for better opportunities. But his thick accent and dark skin makes him unaccepted. Unable to find legal employment, he discovers that the drug trade can be a lucrative business for the man who is willing to do anything, including kill. Self-possessed he quickly rises to the top and becomes the most fearful man in Baltimore. Desiring it all, he marries a woman who gives him many children and now he has a clan of his own. In the country illegally, he changes his last name to Prophet and adopts rigid beliefs and customs. Soon he develops a seething hate toward Americans and believes his bloodline should remain pure. So he encourages his children to breed amongst themselves. Year after year he controls his family with an iron fist and they all fear him. That is until Nine is born. Forced to live secluded in the Prophet mansion, her future appears doomed. Besides, her mother s mental condition makes her a bad parent and her father is too concerned with his wife. Amazingly she finds strength and love from an unlikely source, the family s drunken maid. After awhile she proves to be far more intelligent than Kerrick s other offspring and this makes her both seductive and dangerous. Silence Of The Nine is Flowers In The Attic meets The Coldest Winter Ever. Prepare yourself for a dark ride.

Evil does in fact breed EVIL....
The main character was a very evil man.

T. Styles has a distinct writing style. Those of you that have read her work before, know that she is not afraid to touch on and even marinate in Taboo topics. This title didn't disappoint in that aspect. That being said, this book did keep my attention because of how the author encompassed the secrets of an entire family and expertly made what happened in the past come to haunt the actions of the current day family members.

OK you've been warned...no go read it for yourself.

I really did not know what to expect when I started reading this story. I was sucked into a new world as I read and turned the pages of Silence of Nine. This book was sooooo good. One must have an open mind when reading this. This story took me on a wild ride that was full of sex, lies, love, lust, betrayal, murder and things you never could imagine.

Kerrick was a man that created a hell for whoever came into contact with him. Every chance I got I was in my Kindle reading! This story was written like a movie I could see everything as if I was right there in the room. T. Styles wrote a story so rich and vivid you'll be thinking about it even after you're done.

All I'm gonna say is NINE! On to part two..

In true T. Styles fashion, this book has it's raw gruesome parts but there's also love buried within the story. This book was kind of twisted in the love area and hard for me to pull for any of the relationships, not one. I however felt for the individuals involved, particularly the children as they were born into something they have no control over and become tainted and mentally scarred. Nine was the child I hurt for most and pulled for to overcome everything she was going through and rise to the top. Kerrick was pretty much treacherous, with some good qualities that weren't used for their purpose 90% of the time. His twisted mind mixed with power created a hell that many were unfortunate enough to visit. Even though this book was a hard one to digest, it was still written well and kept you reading (or listening in my case). I'll continue to read more work by T. Styles, just have to brace myself going in and read something light or happy after lol.

This book kept me in awwww the whole time. I couldn't put it down. Once I started reading, I was like 'I'm gone finish this book today'. T-Styles did an excellent job. She has a very creative imagination, that pulls you right in. Some of the scenes was a bit graphical and shocking, but entertaining all at the same time. I'm curious to see how book two turns out.

Kerrick is unlike any other father that you hear about. He is determined to be the king and part of that means keeping his bloodline pure. When Nine Prophet is born she is very much despised by her grandfather Kerrick because she represents what he tried to leave behind in Africa. Nine soon shows the entire family that she is not to be underestimated. Nine is back with a vengeance and nobody will get in her way.

Silence of the Nine just once again reminds me why T. Styles is one of my favorite authors. She definitely has a twisted mind that makes her stories one of a kind and unforgettable. Kerrick took me into the mindset of Yvonna from Shyt List.....only deadlier. I will continue to read books by T. Styles!

Warning! Do not start this book on a day that you have things to do because you will be missing appointments. Yep that's right, there are NO boring break points in this book it is ALL completely gripping! (As all T Style books are) Once you start you will not be able to stop and will have to finish this includes not being able to break for food, rest or water lol.

T styles has done it again with her fabulous twisted mind! It's graphic, it's gory, it's sick & twisted but the underline story is so powerful! A story of survival by any means necessary. Definitely a must read!

I had to let this book and the content marinate before I could write a review.. here it goes.

Kerrick is an immigrant from African in American studying engineering. Kerrick is having a hard time focusing, because the love of his life, Thandi is brutally murdered before they could escape Africa. Flunking out of school, but not ready to return to Africa, Kerrick decides he will live the American dream, by any means necessary. He finds an accomplice and she aids him in keeping employment. After performing a cruel, violent, act, Kerrick is sentenced to prison. Once he is out, he decides that nothing will stop his rise to the top.

He marries Victoria and they have a brood of children. But, his need for a pure blood line, causes havoc on his family. Anybody can get it from Kerrick, but he unleashes his frustration and anger out on Seven. It's something about Seven that unnerves Kerrick. When he finally figures it out, it may be too late.

Seven is one of Kerrick's many grandchildren that the family doesn't even know about because she is hidden in the basement. Kerrick calls on a familiar person to "care" for Seven. But, eventually the joke will be on Kerrick, because Seven becomes just like her evil, vicious grandfather. Can Kerrick and his family handle Seven's rise to power or will she overthrow the king?

T. Styles has a twisted imagination. I wanted to stop reading, but I had to know what was going to happen. Kerrick has to be the most hated villain that I have ever read about. Some of the things that T. Styles wrote for Kerrick shows her twisted creativity in making her characters come to life. I hope I never encounter a man like Kerrick. I need for him to leave my mind before I can start on book two.

I would recommend this book, but beware, IT'S NOT FOR THE FAINT AT HEART!

Keeping It All In The Family

In all honesty, I've never thought Mama Twisty would create another character like Yvonne that captivated me from first introduction (Farrah comes close) but I was wrong. Nine is EVERYTHING! Is it weird that Kerrick kinda turned me on? Yes, he's a monster, EXTREMELY selfish and territorial, but the man was not to be messed with and he stayed true to himself. I applaud Mama T for giving us something new and refreshing. "A Family That Inbreeds" would've been the perfect cliche title lol, but I love how she just GOES THERE.
Nine was something that I wasn't expecting, and maybe that's why I'm so in love with her. She's truly a boss and might be the most ruthless female I've ever read about. I'm 100% here for it.
In my opinion, this is T. Styles' best written novel (writing style wise) YET! You can tell she really took her time creating it and the character development was EVERYTHING. I HIGHLY recommend this novel to everyone and I can't wait for the sequel.

SHE IS KING! WO_OW ... T. Styles did it again; another 5-Star Banger!!! I was thoroughly impressed with Nine's tenacity to survive from the very beginning! She raised above all the crap and became the female version of her grandfather! This book could very well stand alone but knowing MY TWISTED MOMMA, there will certainly be a sequel and as always, I will wait patiently! This was a page-turner from the beginning to the very end! The story line held me captive! It was sick, dark, erie and I loved it!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by Leaf; he is definitely a Prophet and will be looking for him to further step up his game in the sequel!

I applaud MY TWISTED MOMMA; SHE IS THE KING!!! This is how it is done!!!

T. Styles is a freaking genius for this masterpiece!!!! Kerrick Prophet has had a hard start in life but he is determined to live the American dream. After being tested, he finds himself in prison and once he is released…all hell breaks loose and the Prophet family is born! Along comes Nine, who is punished, tortured and abused for no reason at all…until one day! Nine rises above her situation and one act on a dreary night changed her life forever. Welcome to the world of The Prohets and the mist important of them all…Nine Prophet!!

Ewwww.....lol...This read took too long to get to the good part, which for Mi was The End. But still fucking eww. We, the reader knows, so waiting on the characters reactions to these fucking eww circumstances were futile but I get it Monsters create Monsters. My three star rating is based on my perspective of entertainment. Plenty readers/reviewers really enjoyed this read and looked forward to the next installment, but I think I’ll pass.

Silence of the Nine

Silence of the Nine by T. Style is a interesting read. I have take my time to reading this book. Her pen game is bananas. She does a good job. It’s a well written and phenomenal page. The storyline is on point. She has a crazy characters.

I don’t want to say anything about this book. Boy, Nine and Kerrick are acting the same. Both of them are crazy and something else. Nine is remind me of Yvonne from Shyt List series.

I can’t wait read part 2 of this book.

True to T Styles fashion, she brings a level of twistedness that most people aren't ready for yet I can't help but to Love. With that being said, this is Miss Styles best book to date! There are plenty of characters you could love & even more for you to hate... My kind of read!

Fathers are supposed to be the protector of the family & most want the very best for their family, but Kerrick is a different type of father. His work ethic & go getter attitude is to be highly praised but the pure evilness of this man makes characters like Harmony and Yvonna look like school marms!

Nine is my girl! I wouldn't call her evil but more like forced to fight for her right to survive. From birth, Kerrick was against her. But the thing about true survivors is you can't keep them down no matter what you do! Try to break their spirit & you will be proven wrong every time.

I loved this book & wouldn't be upset to read about Nine again but this would make one hell of a standalone book!

OMGoodness! This book was dark but soo T.Styles good! I wasn't crazy about the incense thing going on in here but the story itself was fantastically put together. I wish it would've told us who killed Thandi but Nine was serious and not to be F'd with. Kerrick created that monster but I was surprised he survived as long as he did but then again, the way the story played until the end was good. I would've never thought Butterfly was Paige but I did wonder what became of her. And Alice and her crazy tale...I have the feeling this is not the last we've seen of her, she was too evil to just be defeated after being let go. Well done Author T! Your pen in hand is like a double-edge sword. . .there's no surviving it! I can't wait to read the 2nd book. Never bored when reading the Cartel's work.

Let me tell you this was the best book I read in 2014! Hunny I was up allll night under the covers (trying not to disturb bae) but I could not put it down! Thankfully it was a Saturday night because I would have had to call off of work to finish! I dont want to say to much and give the storyline away but T Styles definitely did her thing with this one. Well written with an imaginative story line that I have not seen covered in the genre of fiction before.

You will not be disappointed.

This was a very dark and twisted read. The things that Kerrick put his family through were insane. I was rooting for Nine the entire time. I like how things turned around for her. This book will have you feeling mad, nervous, scared and anxious all at the same time. One of my favorite authors that continues to write outside the box.

Nine's World

I loved the book! Read it in two days. Nine is the product of incest, her mother bargains for her life. And although it's not the life Nine would have dreamed of or wished for while reading her books it's what's been giving to her and like anyone wanting better she survived by any means necessary.
