Private Lessons: A Story of Voyeurism and Initiation

Do you remember the first time you witnessed sex? I bet you do. And for some, the experience might have become an indelible part of their personality. It might have even become woven into a proclivity or fetish, and peaked their interest for activities such as BDSM, spanking, voyeurism, exhibitionism, corsetry, or swinging. Few of us realize that so many share the same interests, and that various venues for adult roll playing are commonplace. Participants, in fact, refer to it as the "lifestyle," and there are sex clubs quietly operating in the suburbs, BDSM clubs in warehouse districts, covert liaisons in car parks, house parties in upper-class neighborhoods, and social-media-driven impromptu events taking place almost everywhere.

"Private Lessons" is a short story motivated by wild, first-hand accounts and fantasies taken from interviews and associations with dozens of lifestyle couples and singles. Writing this story helped Kalen explore the various characters, voices and perspectives that would inform her "Intense" series of erotic and mild BDSM romantic novels.
