Rate this book

Ok, so I don't really know how to start this review. Maybe I should start by saying that this book has been a bit of a revelation. I'm used to read mostly classics, fiction and historical novels, so this contemporary book, apart from being a good friend gift, is something new to me. Firstly, I must say that I have mixed feelings about this book; it is divided in short stories, each of them very different but very similar at the same time. There are some of them which I have enjoyed very much, there are some of them which make you think, BUT there are also some of them which are VERY strange, you don't know what to think or how to react to them (such as Pizzeria Kamikaze, which is very enjoyable and catchy but as a whole I was like ok but ...?). On the other hand, there has been moments while reading this book that I've got angry with maaaany characters; for example, most of the girls from the short stories were... "crazy"? they act like crazy and then the main characters (always men) ended up not knowing what to do or think about them. That annoyed me by no particular reason, I don't know, it was simply my reaction. Maybe because I didn't feel very identified.
AS A WHOLE, I've enjoyed this new experience getting out of my comfort zone (my literary preferences), the language is very easy to follow and you don't get tired of reading it, the language is also very colloquial and the short stories are easy to read, HOWEVER, those little details mentioned before, the mixed emotions towards some of the stories or the irritation towards some characters make this book a roller coaster of feelings.
In conclusion, this is a good piece of realistic literature objectively, even though personally this is not a must read.
