This is a fast-paced, heavy-hitting read! Full of tragedy, tough situations, and fully fleshed out characters; this kept me turning the pages to see what happened next.
I appreciated Kyra. She went through a lot, but it didn’t’ break her. Seeing her stand strong, remain kind, and succeed made me adore her. While I questioned some of her choices, especially involving Jared, because they were risky, I wanted to see her find happiness so badly, I couldn’t help but want things to work out. Jared was strong and sexy, but he had some control issues brought on by his past. It made for one intense romance between the two.
I was fully immersed in the world she created, and the characters. Her purple prose did throw me off at times. “Magic Stick” acts like cold water in the midst of a sexy scene. I’m also not a fan of cliffhanger endings, so that knocked this down a star for me personally.

This book was a ride in itself through all the characters emotions and what they were going through. I felt like I could jump right into the book and be there with them experiencing the same type of sexy and thrilling situations that they were. Kyra is a woman that may have a heart that is not easily broken into but when she comes in contact with a man named Jared that same heart starts to become a little more open. Her walls come crashing down and she lets him in. Jared was not what I expected and he has some secrets that he has been keeping. This makes it difficult for both him and Kyra. They have an attraction to each other which is unlike any other, but his past is threatening to be dark enough that it may keep them apart unless Kyra decides to take that chance with him. She has to choose between what she knows and what her heart is telling her.

This book was amazing! It sucked me in straight from the first page. This was a great plot and something that I could see actually happening. The characters had depth and emotion and seemed like I knew them both. The attraction between them was real and had me voting for them the entire time. I loved Kyra, she was a great mom and friend. Even though she went through something so tragic she still came out strong and very sweet. Jared's character, can I please have a clone? He has sex and passion radiating off him. He's in control and knows it. He is a tad over protective but after the tragedy he went through as well I can see why. These characters are made for each other!
The descriptions in this book were amazing as well. I can vision what the rooms and towns look like through out the book.
The tragedies and decisions that they went through are realistic. The danger of being with Jared had me fearing for Kyra. It also had me turning the pages and staying up all night to find out what was gonna happen next.
This book has an out of this world cliff hanger that now has me going through wihdrawls and praying that book 2 is coming out real soon! I can't wait to continue the journey with Jared and Kyra. This book gets a 5/5 from me!

I'd like to thank Promotional Book Tours and the author for allowing me a chance to read the book in exchange for an honest review.
The book itself was a relatively easy read. The story line went quickly, I kind of liked the characters. Jared was a controlling bratty billionaire. Kyra went against all of her ingrained truths about being a nurse when she fell in love with him, which makes me think she has absolutely no self-control. Jared loves this because he can mold her like putty. It sounds bad, but the author wrote it thoroughly enough for me to come up with those conclusions. As deep and altering as their love may have been for either of them in the book, I didn't feel it. That's where the writing fell flat.
This was a very sexual book. Lots of sex scenes, some of them pretty hot, but it all went ice-cold whenever I read the words "v-jay" or "magic stick". Sorry, those terms do nothing for me. Maybe they do something for other people, but not this girl.

Loved it!
A nice easy love story, this was truly enjoyable from the first page. The billionaire with dark secrets and his nurse with issues of her own make it a delightful tale. Mr. Stern is hot and the sexual tension is strong. The best part of this book for me was the pacing. It moves at a great pace that keeps the reader interested.
The location was also a great pull and the insight into the nursing career was done wonderfully.

I was a little bummed that it ended on a cliffhanger for the second book. I prefer books with real, satisfying endings, but some people like them. Anyway, the ending leaves a tragic impression which takes it out of the romance category. There is no happily ever after.

Kyra is a nurse, harmed by love, the minute she sees Jared she is sold. They both instantly fall for each other but both hurt and careful. It is also against hospital rules that a nurse starts dating a patient. It cost Kyra all her power to try to stay away from Jared, then she is appointed to his private nurse. Will they over come their hurt and allow them self their love?!?
Very well written story, Fair warning it has adult scenes in it.
