In too fast…

Trista Lennon-Carter received a phone call that will change her tranquil life with her husband, rock star Linx Carter, in the blink of an eye. All she knows is her brother, Trey, is either dead or being held against his will in Northern Ireland and despite him being the Demon’s Bastards’ Sergeant-at-Arms, he needs her help.

In too far…

To save Trey, Trista will have to take Linx back to the very place she grew up and the same place she’s wanted to escape from her entire life. She will also have to involve the very Motorcycle clubs she has no wish to deal with ever again. When it is a life or death situation, she would do anything to save the only family she has left.

In too deep…

The club life has become ingrained in Trista like a tattoo and to save her brother, she will be forced to become the person she most feared was a part of her all along: a vengeful, fearless murderer who will stop at nothing to save Trey. With her life and that of her husband’s at stake, will she survive the nightmare their world has become, or will it drag them back into the criminal cesspool she has finally managed to escape?

The stunning conclusion to The Lovers Duet, Trista and Linx’s journey will be one of strife, hardship and beyond the boundaries of anything they have ever had to face before. Will they be able to endure or will the past and their current present ruin their future happy ever after?

It's like the story and characters got lost after the first book. All of a sudden everybody was in vangs and everyone changes their life decisions/ thoughts in a second. Starting from having no problem excepting to be old lady upto deciding that pregnancy is the best option for now.
I didn't completely like how the story finished with the main characters

In Too Deep is a rip roaring, high octane, adrenaline overload of a book. And there's motorcycle gangs, drugs, love, romance, danger, action and plenty of hot hot sex. This book is Sons of Anarchy on speed.

When we left last Trista, she was settling into her marriage with her rock star husband Linx They are happy and then she gets a telephone call that changes everything. Her brother is being held hostage in Ireland and Trista decides to rescue him. This book takes Trista and Linx back to the one place that she tried so hard to escape from- the motorcycle club. By going back, she introduces Linx to the MC lifestyle, and is forced to make decisions that affect not only her future, but that of her new husband.

This book is intense and does not let up for one minute. Just when you think things have settled down, the author throws another curve ball into the mix. After Out From Under, I didn't things could get any more fast paced and hard charged. Boy, was I wrong. This story ensnares you and does not let go. The plot was meticulous, smart, and well detailed. It's obvious that a lot of research went into the whole motorcycle gang storyline.

We get to see plenty of character growth as Trista blossoms not only into a wife and leader, but also a mother. She is forced to grow up quickly. She is strong, sarcastic, ballsy and has a mouth on her that would make a priest blush. There is an intense amount of love and sex between Trista and Linx. They would do anything for each other and the always sexy , Linx is as charismatic and in love as ever. He would do anything within his power to protect his young bride.

There is an abundance of sizzle and sex in this book and a lot of surprises. I guarantee that you will not be bored for a single second. In Too Deep is breathtaking. It is filled with violence and danger. It is the ultimate book high. This is the second book in the series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I would recommend reading them in order. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

4.5 Stars!!

As many of you might be able to tell, I am a complete fan of Selene’s work. From the first book of hers that I have read, I can’t get enough of the characters! When I was given the chance to read this book, of course I jumped at the chance to do so!
This is the second book in the series, and although you don’t HAVE to read the first book to understand what is going on, it wouldn’t hurt if you did! (Are you picking up the hint there?) We get to spend some more time with Trisha and Linx in this book, which I thought was great because I didn’t want their story to end.
The book is completely action packed, from the beginning to the end of it. There is not one page that isn’t full of action and suspense to keep you in the story. Granted, at times it did feel as though there was too much going on. However Selene has the ability to write all of this action and still keep you draw in the story. While there are some cliffhangers left at the end of this book, it doesn’t take away from the story at all in my opinion.
My only complaint about the book would be that Trisha’s character has always been an “in your face” type of girl. There was one part of the story where she finds out about Linx’s past (and that’s all I’m telling you about it, but it’s a good one!) and she didn’t really “react” to the information. While I do understand taking things in stride, I felt like there could have been more from her about the whole situation.
I did enjoy how in this book we did get to know some of the other characters that have been mentioned in all the previous books (not just this series but also Selene’s other books). It was really interesting to begin to understand why the characters act the way that they do. So I think it was really great of her to add that information.
Overall, in regards to this book, I did enjoy the second part of Trisha and Linx’s story and I can’t wait to see what is in store for them in the future.

First, let me just say that In Too Deep (The Lovers Duet) did not disappoint me. The book picks up where we leave off from Out From Under, but the good thing is it has a lot of twists that I never once saw coming. One thing I can say is I was right when I ended my review from Out from Under saying that I believed that this was going to be a book that I was not going to be able to point down. And this is true, once I started I had to finish it. I had to know what would happen to Trista and Linx.

When I read Out From Under, one thing that I wondered was if Trista and Linx marriage was going to survive everything that it was being thrown into . I never expected for Chardou to throw in all the twist that she did with Linx and Trista. But she completely blew my mind with everything, and I do have to warn you be prepared for some pretty hot love scenes too.

I believe Chardou takes you more into the biker world with this book. But I do love the fact that although you think you are going to get these hardcore bikers that are rough and tough and all about killing, you really are not. She shows that they might be rough and tough, but when it comes to family you just don’t mess with that. Trista really comes into her role of being a badass woman in this book. And Linx completely will blow your mind with the changes to his character.

I like how Chardou did end the book, but I am glad that you will get glimpses of what is going on with Trista and Linx in upcoming books that she is bringing out.

(ARC received from author in exchange for an honest review)

This book picks up where Out From Under finishes. There is a bit of a recap and in some parts it was a little too much, especially as I read book #1 and then moved straight on to book #2.

A lot of secrets come out during the course of In Too Deep and some of the twists are quite unexpected. Trista and Lynx's relationship is put to the test when Trey needs to be rescued from Ireland. Lynx's love for Trista shines through in this book and that man will do anything for her and vice versa.

The book again is told in both Trista and Lynx's POV's and although Trista's is in first person, Lynx's is in 3rd person and at times this threw me out of the story having to switch styles like that. The language used was crass for being crass sake and didn't really fit with the image I was left with while reading Out From Under. I did connect with the characters but the way Lynx's character changed in this book was too much for me. Trista character developed well and in line with the fact she is only 18. The secondary characters all had their own place within the book. Some of the action was an after thought from the character rather than being wrtten so that we could experience it with them. I prefer to read the action than the mental aftermath.

The storyline has ended for Trista and Lynx but there is a book #3 in the pipeline which is good because there are a lot of unanswered questions in regards to what happens with other characters and the the other MC's and I think these could make for future

You may be Out from Under...but youre never IN TO DEEP!!! . Selene Chardou has created yet another amazing read! It is in a class all by itself. A Rock and Biker novel...so outside of the box and a superb combination! Sizzling read and you cant put it down!!! I throughly enjoy all of the books Selene has written. This book is a non stop amazing read that I could not put down. I read it in a day and a half! Linx is so sexy, deep and real! He s such an amazing and well written character and I loved every minute of this book. Trista is one bad ass bitch! You dont screw with what and who she loves!!! She loves hard and grows into such a bad ass! I freaking love her!!! Selene is such an amazingly talented author and she writes such detailed and amazing novels. Her characters are well written and her books flow with such ease. They do not jump around so much that you can not follow them. She transitions between characters and scenes so easily. And her "Love" scenes are scorching and oh so good! I am so blessed that we have become friends Amazing! I must say that you need to sink your teeth into this series because it is like no other! I hope there is more to come

This story boasts some serious biker lingo, drug use, and raunchy sex. I learned that "Old Lady" doesn't have anything to do with your age. You are just the significant other of a biker. The bikers are rough around the edges but some like Cillian show a caring side to Trista. Trista doesn't take anyone's shit either. She dishes is right back to these bad ass bikers. I did get confused a bit because a lot of the characters are related via cousins, half brothers or sisters. It was hard to keep track of at times. I really like the hard edge of "Lucifer's Saints" the MC that drag Trista and Linx into the folds and arrange for the rescue of Trey her brother. Linx and Trista learn the ugly side of their both their pasts and still manage to forge through it. The two take dirty talk to the next level. I'm not prude but it was raw and raunchy at times that I even blushed while reading. I definitely enjoyed this introduction in the biker erotica reads. I love having my eyes opened to new things and this book did that and then some. This book is not cutesie book that you can light a candle too and snuggle up with a glass of wine. This book made me want to crack open a Heineken and get a tattoo.

Really liked this book. I simply adore Linx! The man is HOT and will do anything for Trista. Trista's brother Trey went on the run after trying to take out a member of another gang. Now he is missing and Linx and Trista are planning on going to Ireland to find him. Before they can leave, they get summoned by the President of another MC Club. Trista discovers there is a lot she doesn't know about the people around her. But through it all, she and Linx stay tight and true to each other.

I liked Trista's character more in this book and think she finally matured and grew up as it progressed. She seems to have a better handle on her temper, since she often speaks before thinking, a bad habit to have around bikers. Linx repeatedly proves how much he loves her, and I found myself loving him even more.

This book ends in a good place with Linx and Trista (no cliffhanger), but there is still a lot of unanswered questions about their future. The final book in this series, Above the Fray (The Epilogue) is supposed to be released in Summer of 2014. Hopefully all of those questions will be answered and we'll get a happy ending for everyone.

I love Trista & Linx. I don't think I can wait until the summer for more of them. Having to wait until next month for another book about this crazy, fascinating group of people is going to kill me. This book had so many surprises, twists, & turns that I felt like I had just ridden a roller coaster by the time I read "the end". That is one of the things that I love most about "One More Night Trilogy", "Scarlet Fever Series", and these 2 books. I think someone should create an diagram to show how everyone is connected or related because it was just too much for me to remember. I can't wait for Cillian's story. I fell in love with him in "Rock my heart" and now he is my official MC bad boy book boyfriend. I hope that each member of Winter's Regret gets their own story like the "Scarlet Fever Series". My only 2 questions so far are 1. What is going to happen to Clooney??? 2. Who is Geri Connery because I thought Ronan was in love with Naomi????

This story is really good. I tried to read it without reading part one and I did get a little lost so I would recommend reading Out From Under first just so that you can get the back story.

In Too Deep continues off where Out From Under ends. Trista is loving life right now with her new husband Linx and doesn't want anything to change. All of a sudden she gets a horrible call from someone that has her brother Trey and she has to go to Northern Ireland to save him and bring him back. The only problem is that she will have to get thrown into the MC's that she has been trying to get away from and worse is that her new husband will also have to join. Trista is horrified and doesn't want to but knows that it is the only way to save her brother.

A lot of stuff happens in this book. The story moves very smoothly and I didn't want to put it down. I was sad to see it end but was happy with the ending. I can't wait to see what Selene has planned for her other stories.

Wow! In Too Deep is book two of Selene Chardou’s Lovers Duet Series and it was awesome!! The continuation of Trista and Linx’s relationship picked up exactly where it left off in book one, so I really recommend reading book one first. The story line leaned more towards the biker setting this time and really gave you an inside look of what an actual MC may be like. I really enjoyed reading it and couldn’t put it down. Just when I would think I had something figured out or thought I had a fit for a piece of the puzzle, I would be thrown completely off track. I also loved the emphasis on the Irish heritage and appreciated some of the characters speaking with an Irish accent. I got my HEA and sexy love scenes but it’s totally going to suck to have to wait until 2014 for book three, although I’m sure it will be worth it!

Well how far would you go to help the one you love? Trista's brother has been kidnapped by an Irish division of bikers and Lynx and Trista set off to rescue them. Armed with the knowledge of her parents, brother and ex boyfriend they are in a very bad place. Add to that a summons to see the president of a rival MC charter nothing is looking good.
Lynx makes an ultimate sacrifice and turns backs to his roots, Trista must face facts that she wanted to avoid all her life and learn to rein that temper in apart from in the bedroom!! Seriously dark and twisted sex scenes this time.
Both Lynx and Trista unconditionally love each other, see a future together bit is that enough against three rival MC charters, guns, drugs and family conflicts.
Many truths are discovered, dangerous and horrendous situations develop but will Trista and Lynx get there happy ever after and ride off I to the rock and roll sunset?

4 stars of holy hotness!! I am all about MC books they are my fav. This book not only has hot guys on bikes but they have some hot chicks also. This book was full of danger, suspense, hotness and full of craziness and it pulled me in from the first page. This is book two in the series and though you don't have to read the first book I suggest you do. Linx and Trista go out searching for her brother Trey who is on the run. Things don't work out quite as planned and Trisha realizes, "Does she really know the people around her?" Selena is an amazing author her writing and books are smooth and detailed they pull you in from the beginning I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next. ~Raquel

In Too Deep was quite hard to put down. From the first chapter, I just couldn’t help myself and had to continue until the very last word. This is a continuation from the first book in the series so if that hasn’t been read, you shouldn’t read In Too Deep.

Selene does an excellent job of writing the two main characters. Linx is a man’s man and a Trista is simply a young woman that is enjoying her life. There were some unanswered questions so it is quite possible (and, it would be appreciated) that Ms. Chardou is working on another book in this series!!!

I jumped on the back of the motorcycle with this one and held on with both hands. It was a rough ride that sent my emotions in many different directions, including off the chart sex.
