Despite the awful title Family Care is a super entertaining read.
It tells that age old story of the virginal babysitter who is seduced by the hunky father of the kids she cares for....and the wife joins in and they all 3 have kinky fun.

I liked it but I thought it was a little long and much more slow burn than expected.

Family Care is sexy little read that gets the job done(if you know what I mean *wink wink*) and its free on Kindle so give it a try!

I was looking for dinosaur erotica originally when I came across this book. Don't judge. I would have been just as happy with gargoyle or minotaur erotica. It's a thing. I like what I like. I won't apologize for that.

Anyway. I was looking for something completely different than what I picked up but I wasn't disappointed. That said, this is more of a slow burn romance -- except it's not really a romance. It's more like two people who come together unexpectedly who happen to care for one another but... okay, that doesn't really do the story justice.

How about this? There are sexy times. There might be some girl on girl action. This isn't a babysitter seduction scenario. What happened worked nicely within the framework of the story and made sense.

But, for the record, I wouldn't have been disappointed if the sexy times had happened to be between gargoyle shapeshifters and the human they unwittingly lured into their lair. Just sayin'.

Not sure I cared for this one. The girls is the babysitter to a married couple's children. The marriage is on the rocks and she becomes involved. The premise of the story sounded good, but it was executed poorly.

Josie is spending her spring break babysitting for the Sharps, a new family in town. While by all outward appearances the Sharps seem to be the perfect family, up close Josie finds herself in the midst of a cold and distant home. Eventually, Josie finds herself in a difficult situation when she comes between husband and wife.

Family Care lived up to my expectations from this author. The story was steamy, hot, and definitely sexy. The author has such a talent for words. Her writing is vivid and descriptive. She is able to get inside the heads of her characters and she does such a great job of bringing life to her characters.

Family Care is the longest story the author has out to date, and as a result, it is more in depth and more developed than the others. I really enjoyed Family Care and am looking forward to more from Jessa Callaver.

This was a coming of age story with a real kick. Josie is 18 and babysitting for an attractive power couple, the Sharps. The Sharps have grown apart and are now mostly strangers that pass in the night. When Mr. Sharp becomes attracted to Josie he trys to fight it but when he finds out the feeling is mutual, they cross the employer/employee line in a big way. This story is more than that though, through Josie, the Sharps find their way back to each other and the love they once shared. This is a great book, very entertaining and the sex scenes will steam up your kindle, high recommend!

DNF @ 9%.

I can handle a lot. Hell, I read a lot of books so not much can make me stop reading at 9%. However, when the MC (an 18 year old girl) describes in detail her fantasies about having sex with Angelina Jolie and Brat Pitt, it's time to move on. She does this while masturbating. Normally the latter would be sexy, but Angelina and Brad Pitt? Seriously??? It made me want to gag.

I won't be finishing this.

Note that the blurb has a major typo in it. No offense to the author, but if the blurb has a misspelled word, I can only imagine the rest of the book.

Confusing

The sheer timing in this book is off. The revelations of characters and the character insights are weirdly placed. It seems like this book is a victim of horrible editing. Once you edit you must go back and reread to make sure that the scenes still mesh well. This author really missed the mark.

When placing characters in a room you have to be sure it makes sense when they magically appear in another room and these details make it even weirder when it comes to sex scenes. Where people are positioned makes all the difference between sexy and being some sort of pretzel contortionist performer.

It's strange how this book kind of teases you through it because just when you don't think you can stand the writing any more bam! she can magically write several scenes in a row that make sense and are well thought out, thus advancing the characters' depth and the storyline. As I said before: a victim of editing, really, really poor editing. I would pass on this one guys.

I appreciate having the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a coming of age erotica short that takes a common theme and given it new life. Joise is an 18 yr old senior in high school that takes a job babysitting the kids of a hot couple. She finds herself romantically involved with the sexy Mr. Sharp and manages to get herself pulled into the issues of the couple. Josie does a lot of growing up in those two weeks she stays with them in more ways than just sexually. The author does a great job of bringing to life great characters and putting them in some very hot situations. This being not only the first of her ebooks, its also a bit longer than the others. The story is therefore a bit more indepth than the others and the storyline is more developed. The Evan and Celia reveal and face their problems with Josie's help and they have a lot of mixed emotions to work thru. This is a great romantic short for those over 18.

Josie is spending her spring break with the Sharp family rather than out partying with her friends. Mr. and Mrs. Sharp are the perfect power couple, but Josie can feel the chill between the two. Upon finding Mr. Sharp crying, she offers comfort and develops an intimate connection with him. Even though she knows she has no business getting in the middle of their marriage, she can't help being drawn to him, and when Mrs. Sharp catches them together... well, I'll let you read the rest.
I'm having trouble describing this story, because it has so many elements. I liked the characters, even when they weren't being very likable. The nookie was at times sweet but always sexy. It was very well-written, too, without all the grammatical and spelling errors I normally see in ebooks (short of one ongoing issue with double "l"s that seems to be a publishing issue). I would definitely recommend this story for a short, moving read (the hot sex doesn't hurt). ;)

This is an entertaining short story about an 18 y/o babysitter who spends her last summer before college with a family that needs her help with childcare, chores...and restoring passion to their household. She ends up "becoming a woman" in the process. There's infidelity, which I'm sure is obvious from the synopsis. There's also MFF menage scenes, for those who need that type of warning...or tease.

Overall, I thought the sex scenes were hot. The resolution was handled smoothly. And I got a real feel for the characters and their inner turmoils. Only negative--editing issues. I'm beginning to think I'm the only one who notices these kinds of things, so it may not even be worth mentioning. Nevertheless, I recommend this for those interested in a short, hot, naughty read.

WHAT. THE. FUCK. DID. I. JUST. READ?

I don't even know where to start with this book. We start off with a girl who's babysitting for a family that she is close to. Then she has feelings for the dad. Not completely weird or unheard of. Then they have sex. [Like I couldn't predict that after 3 chapters in] Things get out of control [ another shocker.] The wife catches them. THEN.

* SPOILER AS IF HIDING THE ENTIRE REVIEW WASNT ENOUGH TO YOU CURIOUS EYES *

The wife decides to join in when she catches her husband fucking their 18 year old babysitter. The whole book just got crazy after that. Wife's cool with it. Husband still loves wife. babysitter doesn't know wtf is happening but enjoyed it. BOOM. BOOK ENDS WITH THEM ALL FUCKING ALL OVER AGAIN.

While this is a story premise I've seen a lot of, I thought the author did a really good job of making it fresh, mainly by giving the characters and the situations more depth. It's as much a coming of age story as it is erotica, and while there are definitely lots of steamy sex scenes, there's also an ending that makes it feel a lot more about how all three of the main characters figure out what's missing in their lives. The main character is really likable, and the couple she babysits for is really sympathetic too...you really want their marriage to work, which to me, added a lot to the overall story. Well written and executed, and actually almost a novellette, rather than a short story.

But...This story was entertaining. The ebb and flow of the story was interesting but slow at first. The heat was steady and did not disappoint.

The cliched virgin babysitter and parent/parents hook up gig with a little twist.
It starts of with a slow build up of a girl coming into her own story. 18 yr old virgin on spring break lusting after Mr. S.
You get two "fantasies" to hold you over until about half-way through till you finally get that tabooed of actually touching one another. Yes, it has issues of guilt of cheating, devirgining the babysitter and a little more.
Sometimes a marriage needs that little extra to hold it together or reignite what was once there. Josie does that for the Sparks. It was a Spring Break she won't forget and it does end happily. Sorta.
This story kinda reminded me of Babysitting the Baumgartners, except the Sparks at least didn't replace and forget about Josie.

If you have issues with infieldity, F/M/F menage situations and/or "older" adult with 18 yr old virgin that this may not be your book.
This was a freebie from Amazon and was worth the read.

Babysitters never had it so GOOD

Babysitters never had it so GOOD

The storyline was written with good flow. Some emotion was added and Josie was a good balance between Mr and Mrs Sharp. I just felt awkward reading it. I felt like the 4th child and kept waiting for my perfect life to be torn apart. I understood how things played out based off of the back story I just couldn't help reading it feeling like it was wrong regardless of how interesting it was. All and all I think the book was what it set out to be a interesting adult read.

I thought this was going to be some cheap thrill erotica, and instead I got an actual story, and characters I could care about.

I actually wonder how things turn out for the Sharp family and their long-time babysitter, Josie, whether they move back from whence they came, whether or not Josie ever visits them, brings a boyfriend (or girlfriend) home from school to meet them, how they continue to heal their marriage.

Josie's concerns are real, and the way everything changes for her is organic. The end was a wee bit rushed, but still satisfying.

The sex scenes were a bit tame but well-described and pretty steamy. The characters, not terribly interesting, but what can you say about the babysitter/husband scenario and then the slightly less expected babysitter/husband-and-wife scenario? Not bad for erotica, I don't expect the stories to be spectacular, although I have read some that was close to actual literature. I believe this book is only available as an e-book. The editing (so many typos, omg) is terrible.

I decided to read a bunch of erotica this year rather than maybe zero or one book like in other years.

The sexual tension was the best part of this book, got me gripping my kindle. Too much mundane detail at times, which made certain sections slow-going. there are a lot of typos and missing words, but that was probably because I didn't have the latest version (the author gave an alert that there was an updated version, but I was too lazy to go and get it again).

Not your average babysitter seduction tale!

On its face, this book is a simple babysitter seduction story. But it doesn’t end there. The twists are unexpected and it ends in a quite different place than I thought. I’d love to tell you, but that would take away considerable fun.

As a bonus, there is a pretty in-depth presentation of a high-performing couple in trouble. It’s done through explanation, illustration and discussion over a two week period. It also highlights the challenges professional women face in being “perfect” in all things - job, family, lover. The babysitter is a catalyst and, as with some catalysts, the reaction manifests itself in unpredictable ways.

This tale is reasonably well written, with an average number of typos and continuity errors. It does test the edges of plausibility. But the story hangs together making it an enjoyably steamy read.

I’ll look to other books by this author.

Despite the title being misleading... 😂😂😂

I won't lie, I almost gave this two stars. Despite it being well written, it started off... Well imagine if Tolkien were a bored House wife writing yet another story about a girl who didn't know she was sexy seduced by a rich daddy. You don't need to know about people brushing their teeth or wiping crumbs from their face...

I gave it three because when they added C, to their love making, it became artful, erotic, and beautiful. She is what makes the book worth picking up in my opinion.

So there was a bit of a plot in the book, maybe not as well thought out as I prefer but there was a central theme. There was spice, quite a bit actually, sometimes though it happened in a way that was more wishful thinking than well thought out. There were several noticeable spellcheck/grammar issues that at times were distracting. Also there was a particular aspect to some spice scenes that really killed it for me. Overall I enjoyed the book as a casual spicy novel but it’s definitely not the next literary masterpiece.

Family Care

The title of this book really speaks for the book itself. It has been a long while since I read a book like this, and I have enjoyed it as my emotions went up and down with not just the protagonist, but all the other characters too. None were left out of the journey. I would even go as far as to say that there is actually no single protagonist, as they all had their own pain and joy shown through their thoughts and actions. But they all ended up on the same road. I honestly did not see that ending coming, a perfect ending to a new beginning.

So this is a story which you often hear about. A family need a babysitter and because their marriage is in the rocks the husband and the babysitter get it on.
I didn't dislike this book but it lacked something and I wasn't convinced that the husband and babysitter would actually do something with his wife asleep in the tent with them!! Rather than being annoyed and upset the wife joins in which I also found a little strange even though I had read about her infidelity with another woman.

Captivating yet grammar and punctuation errors.

I loved the story. It was a one sit read through in the middle of the night. I just couldn't put it down!! However, the typos, misspellings word omission, and additional words were very frustrating and distracting. Especially when the sentence didn't make much sense until i figured out the error(s).

By the blub and cover photo I was not expecting what I got 😅
This was actually a slow-burn story of a family with issues and the babysitter who unwittingly helps them.
Callaver really has a way with words and is very descriptive which drew out the story more than was necessary but other than that, this was a pleasant read.
