Terrific sequel to Tactics Time, one thousand more real chess puzzles from real games. This book will significantly improve your chess game and your mind. Like Sudoku, chess puzzles help keep your brain young and elastic.

This was another fantastic collection of tactical puzzles. I love how Brennan and Carson focus on the types of positions that commonly arise in games - which means they're not always beautiful or spectacular, but they are the types of positions that will win games for you.

Very highly recommended as a practical and effective chess training tool for beginner and intermediate players!

Excellent book on chess tactics. I read the Kindle version. There is one puzzle per page, and the rank and files are labeled on the diagram. The graphics are clean and crisp. The answers are on the following page. This should be the norm, but I have purchased many chess tactics books and unfortunately many do not label the rank and files. Even more concerning is that many of the Kindle version of the books the graphics are so poor that it is distracting.

The puzzles are from actual games and/or variations from those games. It is a very realistic reflection on what you will see in tournaments. Some of the puzzles are easy and some are much more difficult which is realistic. The book helps you see critical patterns that chess players should know.

I teach chess at a local grade school, and this is one that I highly recommend. I bought paper copies for my students, and they are more of an eye chart for me, and the solutions are at the end of the page. I find the Kindle version much better.

Very highly recommended.
