I should have never kissed her. I’d made a pact with myself the moment I found out she was Finn’s girlfriend all those years ago--I’d never go there. But the thing is, it’s the only place I ever wanted to be.

Fall For Me and Fall Forever really should have been published as one book. Because of this, I decided they get one review to share.
Here's the thing about Melanie Marks, her writing skills are a bit amateurish but her books are super addicting. Her lead female characters all have striking similarities and her leading men are always heartbreakers who are secretly loyal to the leading female (at least in all of the books I've read). She uses words like "mackin" and a lot of the writing sounds more like a recap of the characters day rather than something that is happening in that moment. But still, I can't put her books down. I still periodically think about her His Kiss book and More His Kiss short story. In fact, I started reading this Fall For Me series because I read that Griffin and Ally would be in the third book. But even though I only started the series for Griffin and Ally, I was glued to my Kindle for Zoey and Riley. Zoey and Riley' s moments together and their conversations completely won me over. When Zoey's heart hurt, my heart hurt. When she was feeling the love, I felt butterflies for her, especially when Riley would lay out his feeling for her. So even though the books sometimes read like a teenager's diary, I still thought they were enjoyable to read and worth the time and money.
“Forever, Jones. I swear. When I fell for you in middle school—I fell hard.” He looked deep into my eyes, melting my heart with his fervent gaze. “I fell forever.” He finally did what my eyes (and heart) begged for—he kissed me. And this time he didn’t pull away. This time it was for forever."
Melanie Marks is always good for a quick easy romantic story. This was a cute, sweet, fun, short story of what happened after Riley and Zoey kissed. This was how they finally came to conclusion they could date. And how Finn lost his marbles :)
I thought it was pretty good it got me hanging. I took me two minutes to get the next book I would recommend it if you like romance. Its not that bad if you now what I mean. I has kissing but that is it.
Short read, interesting but it ended and I said to myself and out loud "what the fuck??" And thought my kindle glitched. I really wanted their story to have a little more detail and closer.
Rereading this duology off my old kindle while the knats in my new room are slowly driving me insane. Well this plot is OUTRAGEOUS. (Spolier) Love triangle, best friend’s girl, fist fight, baseball bat… mental hospital? Wow. Very fast paced, absolutely no unnecessary descriptive detailing and so much dialogue- makes a very compelling easy read for me! Maybe I just read at a middle school level 🤔 Giving very much Jessie’s girl, and Kierra Knightley in Love Actually. I swear this book was SO good when I was little. I guess its just one of those books that is so bad that you can’t put down! hm
Note: Marks’ liberal use of derogatory phrases such as “bimbo cheerleader” and “skanky blonde” suggest that this work is a product of its time…back when we referred to the internet as “the Web” ?

Fall For Me should probably be published as one book. It would make Fall For Me a stronger read, giving it more depth. This was alright, extremely dramatic and full of teenage angst and feelings - and I kind of hated it but I think it's a it's not you it's me scenario - I think I'm getting a bit too old to read this stuff. It made me remember how much I hated that crap in high school.
There were some fluffy flirty bits but there was greater intensity in this one. The ending absolutely sucked. WTF?! The only thing worse than that was the fact that twice through this book she gets offered non-alcoholic drinks by older men and ACCEPTS THEM? Look, teenagers do stupid things but let's not give them ideas. First off, they were alcoholic, she didn't know these men and she almost gets sexually assaulted because let's face it - older men getting a seventeen year old girl drunk probably aren't going to help her home and make sure she's safe and untouched. She doesn't even seem to realise or understand the significance of what could have been. Either time! It majorly irritated me.
1.5 stars rounded up to 2 and the author should consider putting a note about not accepting drinks from strangers.
This is the sequel of the short Fall for me. One of those times when the sequel over shine the first book. On this one the main character is less juvenile, her language is better, the book is better written, the vocabulary is richer, the pace is better developed. Once again Riley got under my skin, and this time we have the pleasure to read his pov, although there aren't many it was enough to get a good glimpse on his head, it comes speaking from the past to the present day very well distributed. I loved this short, the tension between the characters is palpable, some scenes took my breath away. There is something on this book that I consider i hole but nothing that I can just overlook. Its a great , easy and unstoppable read.
I was nervous what direction this book was going to take, because the starting part didn't seem like there would be much to create a story off of. I was pleasently surprised. I liked the plot of the story. I enjoyed continueing on with the first story right where we left off without much review. The author repeats a lot of emotions and characteristics throughout her books. Great read for pre teens.
II found this book was way too abrupt and it lacked the sufficient detail to complete the story. It was all fact. I was annoyed with the excessive "grrrs" and cheesiness and the unrealism of it all.
It’s little too dramatic kinda removed the sweet, fun feeling the first book has. Although I liked the parts about how long Riley had been in love with her. And the sweater? That was so sweet of him.
