3.5 stars, I guess, but it was entertaining and cute, so I'm rounding up. Edit: After reading more novels like this I'm rounding it down to be fair to the other books.
After his ex-boyfriend left him and ran away with his money, Kazushi is currently living with his sister Neiko, a successful writer, who uses his failed relationships as fodder for her popular series of romance novels. One day, she gets a new editor, Ise, who is successful, handsome and friendly. Kazushi realizes his sister is interested in Ise, but even though he tries very hard not to, he finds himself falling for him as well. So far, he has only fallen for the wrong kind of man, could it be that this time he'll finally get the happy ending he deserves?
Spoiler: yes ;)
If the book has one problem, it's that there isn't enough conflict. Even though the fact that his sister has a crush on Ise poses a bit of a problem, Ise is only ever interested in Kazushi and so the end result is crystal clear pretty much from the beginning. While a happy ending is 100% necessary for me, I prefer a bit more angst. But as it is, it's a cute and harmless romantic comedy with likable, if not particularly memorable characters.
I also have to say the illustrations left me pretty much cold this time, so that was a bit of a disappointment.
This was the second book I read by this author, and so far I always enjoyed her characters and their relationships.
