And who better to convince him than the sweetest new resident of Love Springs!

Aurora bakes up a plan to persuade the grumpy lumberjack to help. Unfortunately her recipe for success goes awry when passion and desire for the muscular woodsman starts to simmer in her heart like hot strawberry filling for one of her most delicious homemade pies.

I have to be honest, I really don't want to run down this author with a bitchy review. But..... this one is really just unreadable. It's only 162 pages. But there are 61 chapters. 61 chapters??? It's like a new chapter starts with every changing thought. It reads like someone requested AI prompts for an elementary school romance. I am bummed because I own the entire series, but will not be reading it. I wanted to like the quaint small town and I am always a sucker for a main character starting a business (particularly a bakery). But the uninspired writing just wasn't doing it for me. I gave it almost 100 pages and had to bow out. And also one final thought - we get it. Aurora has long brown hair. Not sure why that had to be mentioned so many times.

I listened to this on audiobook and hated it. I just couldn't get past the voice, which was an AI. I love audiobooks too. For what I heard the story was cute, but the AI ruined it for me. I should have DNR it.

Aurora Sinclair finds herself the owner of her late Uncle Jim's rundown bakery in Love Springs. With the bakery in desperate need of repairs, she seeks help from grumpy lumberjack Randall Woods, who initially intends to decline her request.

However, when Aurora reminds Randall of the kindness Uncle Jim had shown others in the town, including himself, he reluctantly agrees to lend a hand after work and on weekends. As they work together, Aurora's infectious spirit begins to break through Randall's gruff exterior, bringing moments of unexpected smiles.

But as they face challenges and unexpected problems with the bakery, Randall is haunted by troubling memories from his past. Can Aurora help him find peace and happiness?

This is the 1st book in the Small Town Romance In Love Springs series featuring the cute grumpy/sunshine romance between Randall and Aurora. Aurora inherits a bakery from her uncle Jim and her dream has always been to be a baker so she moves to town to get the bakery up and running. When she sees the condition of the bakery she realizes what a big job it's going to be to get it up and running again and the best man for the job is Randall. Randall lives alone in the woods he keeps to himself so when he hears about the bakery he doesn't know if he wants to help out. Then Aurora gently reminds him how her uncle helped alot of other people through the years when he was going to refuse to help her. Randall remembers how Jim helped him when he got to town so he agrees to help Aurora. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this cute grumpy/sunshine romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

I really wanted to love this book, I really did. Unfortunately it felt rushed, repetitive, and directionless. The characters weren’t fleshed out at all. When you read a book like this, you want to feel connected to the characters. It was very hard to feel connected to these characters. And then there were the “villains” of the book. There really weren’t any. There were two characters that were introduced that could have been. One seemed mostly to be there to cause the main male character to feel jealous and push him to realize his feelings for the main female character and then he disappeared, never to be seen again. Any conflict was cleared up within a few sentences, as if the author was afraid to let her characters suffer a little. I did start reading the next book in the series and the writing seems a bit better, but we’ll see. I think this book had a lot of potential, but it just fell flat. If the author happens to read this: You can go back and rewrite this into something that people would love, the bones are there.

4.5 ⭐s Grumpy lumberjack finds love with sunny baker.

Aurora Sinclair inherited her Uncle Jim's bakery in Love Springs. She arrives to find a very friendly town but a very run down bakery in dire need of repairs. Just her luck the best man to do the work is grumpy lumberjack Randall Woods.

Randall is set to turn down her request for help until she reminds him of all the help her Uncle Jim had shown to others over the years. Randall remembers the help Jim had given him when he arrived in town. So he agreed to help after work and on weekends. However, more and more problems keep cropping up. There's also something troubling him about his past. But she is getting him to almost smile at times.

There's an extended epilogue available at the end of this book.

I enjoyed this romance story with all of the characters within. The main characters were Aurora Sinclair and Randall Woods.

Aurora Sinclair is about to get her wish to fulfill her lifelong dream of being a town baker. She has just inherited her uncle's bakery. But there a problem she first needs to fix the place up. The town folks tell her about a guy that might be about to help her. When she meets this guy he is a bit grumpy to her and won't help her.

Randall Woods is a grumpy lumberjack that likes to be by himself. But when a lady comes asking for his help and he not happy. But after think about it he decides to help but only if she stays out of the way.

This was a fun story to read. It had action and drama throughout. It had a few giggles within.

Grumpy Lumberjack is a sweet, small town romance. Aurora has come to Love Springs after inheriting her Uncle Jim's bakery. She has dreams of reopening the same, but it is in sad shape. Randall is the resident, hunky, grumpy lumberjack known for his carpentry skills. Aurora asks him for his help, and he reluctantly agrees. Over time, the two grow close, and romance blooms. Can Aurora break down his walls and convince him he is worthy of love? We do get a nice HEA in the end. This was a sweet, slow burn romance with some PG heat.

Our heroine needs help from our hero, but he is not exactly inclined to be of assistance. He is going to take some convincing and our heroine has a plan. Of course, no plan survives contact with the enemy...

This is a romance story with something of an enemies to lovers theme. The story is well written and easy to read with solid characters that have great chemistry, even if that is hard to see at first. The plot moves at a good pace and includes a few twists and turns as well as plenty of steam all leading to a nice HEA. Overall, a very enjoyable story and I look forward to more from this author.

Highly recommended.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Aurora Sinclair & Randall Woods. Aurora is looking for a fresh start in Love Springs. The only problem is her fresh start needs a huge overhaul. Randall is just the man to help with the overhaul. With his demons though he isn't sure he is the right man for her. Can they both find a HEA or will they both be left feeling disappointed?

Amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Randell is the best local lumberjack who can help her but he is none to pleased as he likes his solitude. Can she convince him to help? The more time he spends with her, the more attracted he becomes.

I'm sorry, I can't. I really am. It's 61 chapters. Not even 200 pages. Why is it 61 chapters? It bounces around all over the place.
Also, Aurora has long dark hair and Randall (jesus christ) has blue eyes. We get it.

I really had to quit reading because I was literally yelling at my Kindle. I may pick up another book from this series at a later point, since I got some of them for free.

Again, sorry but I can't.

Randall and Aurora have great chemistry. Aurora is sweet and sunny, which perfectly offsets Randall's grumpy, brashness. When Aurora needs help fixing up her inherited bakery, it's Randall who provides it.

I had a bit of an issue getting into this story, but once it had its hooks, things flowed well.

DNF the renovation part and the scheduling if it is just wrong, so many details that don't make sense. It kept adding up.
The writing itself was ok.
