Early glimpse into The Pogues up to and including the making and eventual release of January 1988's If I Should Fall from Grace with God .

The pacing throughout is fast and furious. Here are two examples:

But when they got round to modeling the coats in the Red Roses for Me photo session, MacGowan was looking less than his film star best. He had been involved in a late night collision with three flights of stairs, suffered a broken ankle and now carried a stick.

And there were further afflictions: By the time they realized that the front cover photos would have to be re-done, Andrew had disappeared on holiday. A small Ranken mugshot was subsequently slapped beneath the rest of the band.


You see? Interesting tidbits delivered in land speed record fashion.
