Despite this being an entertaining book, with sexy moments and some really sweet scenes, it wasn’t a perfect reading for me. I’m one of those persons that doesn’t mind insta-love, jackass alpha males or relationships going too fast, it’s fiction, anything can happen, let the fast and hard love happen, I won’t mind it in my books. But even for a person like me… it was too much, too fast. There was no progression of their love at all, it was almost know each other, get sex and want to be together forever in a matter of seconds. It wasn’t a bad book, but it was one that if wasn’t free on Amazon I would be probably mad about spending money on it.

Characters Development: Holden was sweet and despite his manwhore past easy to like. Maddie wasn’t bad but her stubbornness in sticking with “the plan” was annoying. To be honest all characters seemed a little cliché, the sassy heroine, the misunderstood bad-boy, the sweet best friend and the bitch. They weren’t every original and their actions were easy to predict from the beginning.

The insta-love in this unfolded at the breakneck pace you get in an Alexa Riley, but an Alexa Riley kind of knows it's being ridiculous and doesn't take itself too seriously. Unfortunately, I fear this one was trying to be serious. #awkward.

It also featured every cliche phrase and set up, from the bitchy ex to the bad boy turned good. Not for me.

Ah well, at least it was a freebie. Complete story, standalone, but part of a series featuring recurring characters.

Madison Waters is a third-year law student and research assistant for Boston’s prestigious McMillan and Shaw law firm. She’s smart, she’s sexy, and she’s utterly focused. Maddie’s worked hard to be where she is, and nothing is going to stand in her way. Just weeks before graduation, when her father falls ill, and Maddie has to take an extended trip home, her perfectly planned life is threatened to be derailed when she meets Holden Brooks.

What can I say about Holden Brooks? Oh. My. God. This is one HOT cowboy! Holden’s been in the fire, and wrestled his demons, but he left all that back in Texas and now works helping Maddie’s parents maintain their property during the day and managing his cousin Archer’s bar at night. He’s content, and his life is in a good place. The last thing he expects are the complications of love. From the moment Holden’s blue eyes meet Maddie’s, there is instant chemistry. If there is such a thing as love at first site, Holden has just experienced it, but Maddie is going to be a harder sell.

“You never know when love will come along and change...everything.”

“Love is a lot of things. It’s a hard place to fall and a soft place to land. It’s give and take, push and pull. Love can bring out the absolute best or worst in us. But, when you find a love worth fightin’ for, that’s true love. And no matter the struggle or compromise, you can’t walk away from that. Now ask yourself, is he worth fightin’ for?

I already knew the answer to that. I was just too afraid to admit it.”

Because You’re Mine is K. Langston’s debut novel, and what a debut it is! It’s a perfect balance between tender and romantic, and rough and steamy. She gave me EVERYTHING I look for in a romance novel. The characters are well-developed and believable. They fight hard, and love even harder. I was instantly invested in where their journey would take them. I laughed with them, held my breath with them, and felt utter disappointment right along with them. I LOVE the way Ms. Langston writes, and I simply couldn’t have asked for more.

You know those books where you start to slow down because you just don’t want them to end? THIS was one of those books for me. So imagine my absolute delight when I discovered (after the acknowledgements), Chapter 1 of Until You’re Mine, the second book in the series. This book is Archer’s story, so it’s not a sequel, but if the first chapter is any indication, we’re going to need some water to put the fire out!

Ms. Langston, you have arrived!

Five enthusiast stars.

This book is HOT!!!!

"I slammed into her hard. I eased my pace, drawing in and out of her slower. Grinding my hips I buried myself deep then pulled out fast, driving hard into her again and again. She was taking it all.
Fast.
Slow.
Hard.
Deep."

Maddie has worked hard on her dream, she is working on a prestigious law firm in Boston and is finishing her law school in Harvard. When her mom called her home to Texas cause her father's sudden change of health. There she met Holden, a hot Texan cowboy, who helps out Maddie's parents in their farm and who knows what he wants and he wants Maddie!

I didn't get at first why Maddie was ever so bitchy with Holden, but all the time eye fucking him. But I sure love the way Holden never gives up!

“When I want something bad enough, I do what I gotta do.”

I got one word for Holden:

\

As for Maddie :

“You never know when love will come along and change...everything.”

I loved it!!! I would definitely recommend!!!! ;)

So it's official..I have a new book boyfriend! Holden Brooks is a sexy southern boy who knows exactly what he wants...and did I mention southern? If you are secretly "turned on" by grease rags in the back pocket, dirty trucker hats, and faded low-hung jeans..all rolled into a chiseled bod with killer eyes?...then you need to check out Holden.
Madison Waters thinks she knows where her "new life" in Boston is headed, but that's the crazy thing about southern roots..they run pretty deep. An unexpected trip down south throws quite the "wrench" in her plans. I can't decide which I loved more..personally recognizing some of the small town locales, or playing witness to the smoking hotness of these two characters. Scratch that-I know exactly which one I enjoyed more!
What's a story without some heart wrenching, soul shredding conviction? This book certainly isn't lacking in that department. The author had me "feeling" the pain..there was even a time when I wanted to jump in the book and choke a bitch...but the rollar coaster came to a smooth stop, leaving me with my HEA.
My only problem with this book is...I have to wait a year for the next one!!

Not going to rate since I DNF at 43%....I usually don't mind so much the whole insta-love thing but here it just didn't work for me.. wasn't feeling how crazy over the top Holden was for her immediately..like crazy alpha possessive after meeting for 5 minutes. I made it through almost half the book before I just decided it wasn't working for me and wasn't interested enough to continue... oh well.. it happens!

I loved Holden and Maddie. It's been a while since I read a book where the two MCs had so much chemistry, and how could I not love a book that mentions my favorite car ever: Eleanor. I keep trying to talk my bf into getting one without much success. Anyway, Holden was amazing. I loved how persistent he was even though Maddie was being b!tchy and refusing to admit there was anything between them. I did get annoyed with her when she refused to talk to him after he dropped the on her. I know it seemed a little fast and definitely a lot crazy, but she could have just talked to him about it and said it's too soon but someday. She just kept making everything about them having separate lives, her in Boston, and him in her home town, ignoring the fact that he had said he'd move to Boston to be with her. Communication people! And they both made me mad when she showed up at his place. I get her jumping to conclusions, but she should have talked to him, and he should have just told her whether she wanted to hear it or not. Katy telling Maddie she was being a stupid b!tch, though... hysterical and so true! I felt like I was on the emotional rollercoaster with the characters, and I loved every second of it! I'm anxiously awaiting Katy and Archer's story!

Two of my favorite things, small town love stories and Southern boys, so I was so excited when I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Madison is not the average female book lead. She hasn't been through anything horrific that has changed her outlook on life. She is just a smart girl. A smart girl who wants to fulfill her dreams and has no plans of settling down until she's done so.

Enter Holden.

Holden, Holden, Holden. He has good looks, Southern boy charm, and a dark past. He is basically the trifecta of hot book boyfriend. He is bossy and demanding, but in the sexiest way. Holden wants Madison, and Holden gets what Holden wants.

The only thing stronger than the instant connection between them is their sexual chemistry. Let's just say there is a barn and a rain storm, and after that I was hooked!

Though their relationship was fast paced and bumpy at times, these two prove love prevails. I loved every second of Holden and Madison's story and I can't wait to read more about Archer and Katy!

This isn't just an amazing debut book, it's an amazing book in general. I can't wait to read more from K. Langston!

This is the first book in a new series for this new-to-me author. The book blurb gives a good overview of the storyline so I'll leave it at that. Otherwise, it was an okay read on a fall afternoon. The male lead caused a few heart palpitations but the female lead left a lot to be desired. She didn't meet my expectations as far as being a strong and well-defined character.

I almost didn't finish this one. It was really bad, from the beginning to the end. Maddison -who thinks is a really good idea to sleep with your boss, and that is not a spoiler- travels home after her father has a heart attack or something. That's how she meets Holden, and it's "love at first sight". He is certain that Maddison is the love of his live, the one, while she tries to keep her distance, even if she can feel this crazy connection between them.
It was ridiculous, honestly. Holden doesn't respect her space and doesn't understand it when she says no to him. And mostly she takes this as if it were normal behavior, or maybe romantic.
And that ending. I really hated that ending.

Ok, I'm a huge fan of instalove and love-at-first-sight (if written believably). I eat that stuff up like a starving hound! But... this one was even too OTT for me for me to believe. I had lots of fun with it at the beginning (in a tongue-in-cheek kinda way) but then the credibility started to exhaust and so did my ability to accept the declarations of undying love after a few days of meeting.

Still, I would recommend it to those who love their lovey-dovey, lots-of-sex, low angst reads. Must love super sweet and possessive H in BBF world, (but in the real world; probably needs psychiatric help for his obsessive/stalker tendencies). Must also love OTT instalove!!

For what it's worth; I did enjoy it for all its sugary OTT sweetness and also enjoyed that it was free on Kindle :)

Told in dual POV, with HFN epilogue and first standalone story in a series.

I had the honor of reading this book this weekend and I am officially in love and lust with Holden Brooks.. He is a true southern gentlemen. That being said he is so sweet he will give you a tooth ache one minute then turn around and have you wishing your kindle had a vibrate feature. This is K. Langston's first book but you could not tell it by the writing or the free flowing storyline. It left me wanting more of Holden and a lot more of Archer.

The story starts off with Madison Waters working her way to finishing law school and getting her law degree in Boston. Madison has a somewhat close relationship with her boss at the law firm she is doing an internship at. Problems arise back home and Madison has to return there to help her parents. When she goes back home to Mississippi she doesn't expect to find smoking hot Holden Brooks helping out on her parents farm. One look from him and it is all over for Madison. Holden and Maddie's relationship starts off with such an intense sexual energy that left me yelling please mother of pearl hurry and get it on already!
The story is hot, romantic and full of lots of steamy sex.. This is a great debut novel for K. Langston and I can not wait to get my hands on the next book in the series.

A southern read? she wants to be a lawyer, well, those are two things I like to read. I know crazy, but I love it when there's a lawyer, I don't know why. I'm marking it on my TBR

Jesus Christ. I can't comprehend life without this book right now. I think I'm just going to re read it over and over for the rest of time.

“Let’s watch Magic Mike. It’s been almost a week since I’ve had Channing on my Tatum” – I laughed so hard at this I snorted, and now I’m going to be saying Channing on my Tatum, lol.

“Fuck No! Are you high? Nobody could ever get sick of looking at Channing’s fine ass hump that floor during his hip hop routine. And that Alex Pettyfer…sweet mother of god… I would drink his bathwater with a sparkly pink star.” – I can’t help but think about how Kait and I talk about people, when I read this. True predator status. K. Langston, you would fit right in with my group of friends!

“I can’t decide if I want to punch him in the face or kiss the ever lovin’ shit out of him” – Oh yeah, this is me all day every day!

“I want to walk through this life with you by my side. Your hand in mine. Forever.”

CAUTION: HOT! This book needs to come with a warning label! I have no idea what to say about this book, except that if you don’t read it… you’re a fool! I’ve been following K. Langston for quite some time before this novel came out. I fucking adore her beyond reason. I feel like no matter what I write, it’ll be a disappointment and there isn’t enough praise in this world that I could give to K. Langston. Because You’re Mine was extremely well thought out, the transitions from character to character were beyond beautiful and the imagery was just flawless. This novel gave me everything I could ask for in a story. Love, hardship, humor, angst, the right amount of sexy, personal demons, and shenanigans.

Just throwing it out there, I love the names of the characters, Madison and Holden. They’re names fit their personalities to a tee. The two characters are well developed, relatable, and entertaining. A man with personal demons and a woman with a clear cut plan for her life, Who would of thought that the combination would work? By the way… I love me a man with some personal demons. I swear it just makes him sexier. Having OCD and being a bit anal retentive I can relate to Madison, even though my life is a chaotic hot mess, while she’s planned meticulously.

Madison was pig headed, elegant, and sassy. She starts out living in Boston (BOSTON STRONG!! WOOT!) and is in school to be a lawyer, while working at a very swanky law firm. Then tragedy hits and she’s brought back to her home town where she meets Holden. Little does she know, he’s exactly what she’s been looking for. The support characters were simply brilliant. Holden’s cousin Archer was a take-no-shit type of guy and looked out for Holden as if he were his son. Madison’s best friend… well besides winning best friend of the year award, she’s just absolutely adorable. The two of them along with Madison’s parents and her boss just made the story extra spectacular.

Let me tell you, there is something to be said about a country boy. (I know you’re saying AMEN right now!) I lost my train of thought thinking about country boys… and Holden. *sigh*. This review might just be a train wreck of random rants. Anyways, back to Holden (purr). Being a jack of all trades, Holden works at Madison’s family farm, he’s a mechanic, and works at a bar. Can I just point out that his name alone screams SEX? Let alone those sparkling blue eyes and rock hard body. Mmmhm. Bitches – back off my book hubby!!!

The two of them have that instant connection that you could only pray for in real life. To those of you that have had that… I’m jealous. Don’t get me wrong, I love my man and all, but damn it – I would KILL for such intensity between myself and a stranger! The fact that Madison and Holden both know there is something between them but refuse to act on it just builds up the sexual tension between them. Not to mention the witty banter and the indescribable intimacy between the two. OH god! The scene in the barn, and then the lake, I can’t. You know that saying… ‘Work hard, Play Hard’? Hah. This book gives that phrase a whole new meaning. You have to read this. K. Langston has a way with writing to give you the ultimate feels.

When I first started reading this book, the scenes while Madison was in Boston were amazing. I was like Oh shit, This is what’s going down!? LAWD! I was only but a few chapters in and I was already panting over the descriptive happenings. I would have been happy with just that, but I’m so glad that there was just so much more. I tend to be attracted to books that are let’s just say ‘not for a faint heart’. My thoughts on this novel can’t be put into mere words. Just like Holden and Madison, I fell in love… and damn it I fell HARD.

Even through the tragedies and misconceptions, this book does have a great ending. As much as I loved this, I was sad for it to end. (As I am with all great books) K. Langston really hit this one out of the park for her DEBUT novel. Honestly, I would recommend this book to ANYONE… providing you’re of a mature enough age. ;) Congratulations to K. Langston on this fucking crazy amazing debut novel. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, which has to do with Madison’s best friend and Holden’s cousin Archer. Oooh, I can’t wait to read what comes out of Archer’s mouth. I fucking love you K. Langston, Don’t you forget it! I hope my review was worth the torture of not letting you read it until the blog tour, mwauhahaha!

4.5 Falling Fast Stars

Famous fallers: Jennifer Lawrence. Chevy Chase. That guy in the barrel over Niagara Falls. And lovers everywhere. "Falling" in love. It does feel like falling doesn't it? Out of control. Your tummy in your throat. Hoping no one notices in case you did it wrong. Add me to that list....falling in love with Ms Langston. And boy did I fall fast and hard. Much like her characters.

Maddie is almost finished with law school. She has been screwing her boss just for fun. She is not in it for the long haul. Love isn't really on her agenda. She has other things that are her priority. She wants the high powered life of a big city lawyer not the Southern country life she grew up with.

Holden has hit the bottom of the barrel several times. He has fought addiction and left that life behind to remake himself in a slower more laid back style.

When Maddie is called back home to Mississippi to check on her ill father, she is ready to be the good daughter and then get back to Boston. Until she is spotted by Holden. He is taken with her to say the least.

She was seriously fucking with my head. Both of them.

Holden is not shy about what he wants. He wants Maddie.

...I wanna make sure you don't belong to anyone else before we move forward.

And when he says "move" he means at a high rate of speed. Like seriously M.O.V.I.N.G. Maddie and Holden go fast, but they fall into a HEA or just fall flat on their face. Maddie has her life planned and Holden is not in it. Holden had made mistakes in his past. Will they come back to bite him? Will he push too hard too fast. I can tell you....there are some Schmexy Hard and Fast to this one!

This is one quick paced, sexy read. You will love the heat between these two. And the best part....that #1 after the title. That means there is a #2 coming!!!!

Madison is about to graduate from Harvard and is on her way to being a lawyer. She has a good job as a research assistant in Boston and can move up within the ranks with the company.

Holden moved to the small town where Madison was raised about 5 years ago. His cousin Asher and him are more like brothers. Archer has helped him fight his darkness that brought him from Texas.

Madison has to unexpectedly go back home to see her father who is in the hospital. She has to go help her mom and make sure her dad is ok.

Once Madison is home she meets Holden and sparks fly. They both try to deny it because you can't start something when one life leads back to Boston and the other is not. But they figure out that the sparks cannot be denied. They go for the RIGHT NOW but realize they need more. FOREVER is ahead but to get there they have to compromise and possibly give up a part of themselves. Question is does LOVE win out in this situation or do you move forward with a piece of your heart missing.

It was a decent storyline. Bumps along the way as normal. Demons in the past but nothing to horrible. No major grammar errors that stood out, so pretty good editing. I feel that it lacked something even though I liked the characters. I still don't remember what happened with the father or why he was in the hospital. I would like I should remember that. I liked Katy, Madison's best friend and the next book in the series is about her character and Acher so it should be interesting.

This was a hot and steamy story about two people who fall in love pretty quick. That usually isn't my cuppa, but here it was pretty good. The author did a good job of setting the scene and showing how the characters fell hard and fast for each other. The thing that made it better for me was that they acknowledged that they knew it was unusual to fall for someone so fast but that they just couldn't help how they felt. That made it more believable for me. I really liked Holden and his alpha cowboy sexy ways! ;) He was one hot hunk! Madison was good, but not great. I didn't really understand where she got her negative outlook on love from, seeing as her parents were currently happily married in the book. They even fell for each other after two weeks, so one would think she'd be more open to love at first site and all that jazz. But nope, she wasn't. She was even kinda cynical about it which just confused me. But once she realized that she was in love with Holden, I came around to understanding she was just scared. That I got! Anywho... This was a sweet and fast paced love story that had some pretty smokin hot sex scenes, which is always a bonus! ;) I'm definitely interested in reading more from this author! Oh and I think this was her debut so she gets props for doing such a great job her first time out! :D AND! The editing was pretty darn good! I love when I find a great book that I don't have to decipher what the sentences are supposed to say!

I was really looking forward to reading this book, but I hate to say that it was just way too sugary and unbelievable for me.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad book at all and I expect most people will adore it...

I didn't believe in the insta-love. I don't know why, I just didn't.
There wasn't enough character depth for me. I needed more time with them, getting to know them.
I didn't see how after two days they had already had unprotected sex because she trusts him already... and when she realises she has missed a few pills he say... what happens, happens. Really? You hadn't even met her yesterday and now you're happy to have a baby?
He watched her sleep, took a photo and set is as her caller ID. He was calling her every five minutes... Then confessing that he would move to Boston, just to be with her. Then, after three or four days he proposes?
What was supposed to be super romantic and sweet just came off as a little creepy to me. I know I should have been swooning and loving this alpha male thing, but all I kept thinking was... Wow, this guy is way too heavy too soon!

I know that it totally could happen. People fall in crazy love every single day. But this story just didn't work too great for me.

All I can say is that this book was so bad that I wish I could back hand the shit out of every person who gave it above a 1 star. Crap book of epic proportions and the author actually owes me an apology for putting out such terrible material. If I could unread this book I would because it was just such a damn ridiculous book with absolutely no substance. While I know these shorter romance novels generally lack substance but this one just took the cake. Don't waste your time on this one

3 ‘strawberry’ ‘honeysuckle’ Kisses

Okay…I don’t want that rating to confuse people - this book left me with a smile. I liked the characters…a lot. It was a nice, quick read…a lot steamier than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise…and for all intents and purposes I liked it. Was it a ‘blow my socks off amazing book’ ? No…but not every book can be. Am I glad I read it? Oh heck yeah…but unfortunately there were things that stopped me from falling completely in love with it.

Madison Waters…Maddie Maddie Maddie…Miss. ‘I have a plan’ – what am I going to do with you? I liked her drive, I liked her stubbornness, I liked her will. She’s a smart girl, just about to graduate with her degree in law, she’s got big plans to make something of herself and I like her tenacity and overall attitude. I also liked her friendship with Katy, it’s very clear that they have a very strong bond. But there were some things that irked me – the whole ‘plan’ thing. Guess what happens when you try and plan life? Yeah…you can do your best, but plans don’t always work out and the more she dug her heels in, the more I wanted to slap her upside the head. I understood it…didn’t mean I had to like it. And if she only knew how good Holden would be for her.

‘Katy had always been a true romantic at heart. She believed in true love, soul mates, and all that fairy tale bullshit. Since we were kids, Katy had been searching for her knight in shining armor, a prince charming to swoop in and sweep her off her feet. It was sweet, really…the idea of true love. However, I was smart enough to know that wasn’t reality. That kind of stuff only happened in books and movies. Not real life.’

Holden Brooks…there is nothing I didn’t love about Holden. Even with his ‘not so great’ past…he’s still an amazing guy with a heart of gold and enough sexual hotness to make me weak in the knees. Holden’s feelings are strong and powerful and relentless and I think that’s something that Madison wasn’t prepared for. I don’t even know if Holden was prepared for his feelings for Madison, it took him by surprise, but he wasn’t afraid of them. Fortunately, and unfortunately, Holden is a truly good guy…the unfortunate part is it comes back to bit him in the ass – but in all…I really don’t know what took Maddie so long to get on board the Holden train.

‘“I’ll never hurt you, Maddie. Promise.” Those six precious words wrapped themselves around my heart like a warm coat. Holden’s piercing blue eyes stabbing into mine left no doubt in my mind…he meant every last word.’

So that steaminess I mentioned earlier…yeah, where did that come from? I mean…I was 100% A-Okay with it, but it was like ‘hmm…alright, didn’t see that coming…but awesome!’ Holden is passionate and attentive and drool worthy and just down right sexy. I’ll give Maddie an A for effort on trying to resist him but…yeah, that so wasn’t going to happen. I mean, don’t get me wrong…it was more than just sex with them. I said it before, they feel more than just attraction and lust…especially Holden. It was kinda nice to watch the guy fall before the girl, and not that Maddie didn’t feel it too but Holden wore his heart on his sleeve.

‘“Do you know what you look like? Lying there like that?” I shook my head.
“Mine.” he whispered softly.
My heart soared at his possessive claim. His dark blue eyes were intent and determined, penetrating every inch of me. I ate up every single bit of it. My desire for him was strong and real. And his need for me breathed that very same life.’

The story bounces back forth between Holden and Maddison’s POV’s…it was clear and I was never confused whose head I was in. There were a few times my eyebrows arched a little with what Holden was saying or thinking…didn’t really feel…right? I dunno if that’s the word I'm looking for, but it did throw me a couple of times. I did enjoy the dual POV though…there was never any repetition, even when you slipped back and forth, you may get the persons emotions, but we never back tracked to what had already happened and I liked that. Other than that the writing was really easy to read but there were a few editing/proof-reading issues that caught my eye.

‘Deep down, I knew I was a fool for seeing him again. But what I felt for Holden Brooks trumped any and all rational thought. I was in a complete and utter free fall. I could feel it. In the way he looked at me…the way he touched me. I was going to land hard and fast and there wasn’t a damn thing I could do to stop it.’

So…yes, Holden and Maddie have insta-love. Well…insta-attraction, insta-lust and then over a very short amount of time (like…days) this turns into love. I am not saying it’s not possible…it is! It was believable, I felt their emotions, very much so…and there was a build. It did start off as a physical attraction thing and after spending time getting to know each other, the feelings grew from that. But…days? Would it have been so hard to make it a couple weeks maybe? Drag it out a little bit, really show them getting to know each other – it would have made me just a tad more invested I guess. I mean even they were saying it was fast…and it the characters keep telling me it’s fast, then I’m going to tend to believe them!

‘My love for this woman surged fiercely through my chest and I knew in that moment that I would never be the same. Even if she didn’t want me, whether she wanted it or not, my heart would forever belong to her. I would kill for her, die for her, and swim the seven seas for her. All that fairy tale shit. They say you only give your heart away once. And my heart now belonged to her.
Forever.

I knew when little hints were dropped here and there about Katy and Archer (Holdens cousin) that there was going to be more with them…and I was right! Until You Are Mine is their story and I am very excited for it. Archer is…broody and delicious and I can’t wait to find out what his story is. If he is half as passionate as Holton, we’re in for a wild ride!

I think I accidentally paid for this one--it was available for free at some point and I got an ad about it, but I clicked before I noticed it was actually 99 cents. Oh well. Money wasted, because I raised my eyebrows when someone saddled up to someone else and was temporarily confused when a hand was adorning a wedding ring...but I knew I couldn't take it when her conscious screamed "NO."

This was all before 11%.

Quote: “You never know when love will come along and change...everything.”

“Love is a lot of things. It’s a hard place to fall and a soft place to land. Its give and take, push and pull.

Review: I was given an ARC of because you’re mine from Sunshine and Mountains review for an honest review. I absolutely loved this book. Although there were some grammar errors, I loved the story itself.
Madison is a law student and research assistant for Boston’s prestigious McMillan and Shaw law firm. She’s smart, she’s beautiful and she knows what she wants in life. Madison’s worked hard to be where she is, and nothing is going to stop her from getting what she wants. Just weeks before graduation, her father has a heart attack, and Madison has to take an extended trip home, her perfectly planned life is threatened to be changed when she meets Holden Brooks.
Holden is a hot cowboy who has a troubled past. Holden’s been in trouble, fought his demons, and left everything back in Texas and now he works helping Madison’s parents with their property and helps at his cousin Archer’s bar at night. He’s happy with his life and then Madison walks into his life and turns it upside down. He can’t get enough of her and she is scared to death of what will happen if she is with Holden.
I think that K.Langston did a wonderful job for her debut book! It had the perfect amount of romance, drama and reality. I had a book hangover after I read this. It was truly an awesome read and I think everyone should get a copy of it when it comes out. Thank you K.Langston for writing such a great book! I will definitely be recommending this book to my friends!!! I give it an A+!!!

Books like this are the reason that I love reading. I’m convinced that if there were a manual for creating a picture perfect love story then K. Langston obviously found it. There is not one single things about this book that I did not love. This book is a work of art from its gorgeous cover to the sublime words within its pages. Because You’re Mine is everything that you could want in a romance book- a sexy hero, a smart and feisty heroine, the agony of love, the ecstacy of love, and hot steamy sex.

What do I love most about this book? It is almost as if the author found the perfect man and has written the book through his eyes. I love a male character that isn’t afraid to admit to his feelings. When he admits to loving Maddie, it is with all that he is. He isn’t shy about the way that he feels. I love, love, love Holden. Sexy and charming Holden. He smolders and sizzles his way through this book while charming you at the same time.

These are two characters that you know belong together but have to go through heaven and hell in order to get there. They are complete opposites but their chemistry is through the roof. Neither are expecting to find love but when they meet it is love at first sight for Holden and he will do everything he can to convince Madison that she feels the same way.

Oh, (without giving too much away) the man tears. They broke my heart. Who can resist a man that cries because he feels he has lost the love of his life?

I should clarify that this book isn’t all seriousness, there are some laugh out loud funny parts. What a great read. This book will leave you completely gutted, consumed, and in love with the written word. This is easily one of my favorite books of the year. An amazing debut book from the author and I cannot wait for Archer’s story in the second book. I absolutely have fallen 100% head over heals for a man named Holden.

Very honored to have received an ARC of "Because You're Mine" and I absolutely fell in love with Holden.. and Maddie too :) Holden is a very sexy southern cowboy with those "V" thingys and Maddie is a law student and works for a prestigious law firm in Boston. You will also be introduced to Holden's cousin, Archer who to me is dark and mysterious who owns the bar that Holden helps run and then you will meet Katy who is Maddie's best friend and is a preacher's daughter full of tattoo's who also works at the bar. You'll find out more in the story.

“You never know when love will come along and change...everything.”

Holden has his demons from his past and moved from Texas to make a new life for himself. He has suffered heartbreak before and doesn't expect to find love again. The last thing Maddie expects is to fall in love when she comes home from Boston on an unexpected visit. When Holden and Maddie lock eyes for the first time it's instant attraction and K. You will be taken on a ride full of hot, steamy sex along with drama. You feel every emotion with these two and it feels very much like reality. You will most likely want to throw your reading device because Maddie does something stupid (no spoilers) because she is scared. Eventually she comes to her senses and of course you get a HEA which is awesome.

Great job on your debut novel, K. Langston. You totally nailed it and I am wanting more. I can't wait for the next story. Totally will have a book hangover with this one. C'mon 2014 with Katy and Archer's story along with more Holden and Maddie!

You ROCK K. Langston!

3.5 Stars!

There wasn't a lot of depth to this story, and it was pretty predictable....but it was sweet and cute and flowery and full of hearts and rainbows.

Madison is going to Harvard and working at a law firm. She returns home after her father has a heart-attack. While home she meets Holden--who works for her dad and happens to be the one that saved him.

This was most definitely a major case of INSTA-LOVE between Holden and Madison!! Pretty sure they said "I Love You" within about a week. But I liked Holden. He was cute and determined to win Maddie over--which wasn't hard to do. And they were HOT together--there were plenty of sexy times between these two.

Madison is only in town for a few weeks and will have to return to Boston to finish school. She's torn between being with Holden and following the path she was on. Holden just kind of came out of nowhere--when she was least expecting it. And she's scared.

I thought the conflict was SO PREDICTABLE. Because of that I just can't rate this book any higher. I saw it coming from a mile away. And it was dumb and Madison's reaction was over-the-top.

IDK--there really wasn't anything wrong with this story but there also really wasn't anything that made it stand out. It was a super short, quick read. It is a standalone. The next book in the series will be about Archer and Katie--who we meet in Because You're Mine. I will more than likely read the next book in the series--books like these are perfect in between books for me.

-I received an ARC for a honest review –

Maddie Waters is a student at the prestigious, Harvard school of Law, she has a great internship with a well known law firm, and is on her way to success. She receives a phone call from her frantic mother, telling her that her father has suffered a heart attack. She immediately makes plans to head to her home town of Memphis, Tennessee.

Holden Brooks is the epitome of a book HOTTIE!!! His blue eyes are to die for!! He moved from Texas about five years ago and has been working on the Waters farm and at a local bar. He has a past that he struggles with daily and love was not something he was looking for.

There were parts of this book that I absolutely loved while others, not so much. It had a good story line and great potential. I just felt like it moved WAY too fast and at times it was just unrealistic. I look forward to reading book 2 in this series!
